Where Punk was an outward release of frustration and anger towards the world, Post punk turned inward to self examination. Siouxsie, Joy Division/New Order, Bauhaus, The Cure became the blueprint for later bands. Over the years enough material was generated to fit into neat Subgenres. Goth/Industrial/ Synthpop/Shoegaze/Indie/etc. The common denominator is DIY

Met you at the Transformer festival after I missed This Heat due to unfair BS, and walking round trying to find Charles Hayward to sign my albums. Wonder if you remember that. They left before Swans, which was stupid to do. I did eventually get them signed a couple of years later, so all is good now.
