Justin is so straight and honest - insightful, intelligent and respectful. As a drummer I've always especially loved how much he appreciates a good drummer! Talking about how the drums need to cut through the mix clearly, the importance of the rhythm section, his relationship with Michael (and Robert before him), so good to hear this stuff - as well as what follows...!
Thanks for this John, lost a hero yesterday in Geordie and Justin is my other hero,2 great bands with the miles on the clock and the quality back catalogues.
Loved NMA since 82/3 but sadly lost touch after Thunher & Consolation due to parenthood responsibilities. Was last tour I saw. Ghost of Cain was soooo good. Knew Joolz's cousin Cherry and we worked 2gether at local civil service dept. We we'ld chat and share our respect of Justin and the band. So hope to see you again soon Justin. NMA best band ever IMO and saw ye all throughout the 80s in and around London as squatting and too skint to travel around Blighty to see you which I so wanted. Still skint but not as bad. Peace love and lite
I too am looking forward to this album also, I have been watching NMA from a distance for a few years but have fallen in love again. My only issue, and this is MY opinion only, is I wish they would choose a different producer. Just so there are different, independent ideas. However, with the album mixed by Tchad Blake, I am really really looking for to it, and seeing them in Northampton....Why has this gig not yet sold out? Maybe they should have Goldblade as support eh Rob?
After years of toil with little help from main stream media NMA have made themselves their own platform which they use for benefit for all human beings who still have a heart beating in their chests. from the beginning they have never deviated from one core principle’the truth’ which unfortunately in this world we now find ourselves in sections of people seem increasingly opposed to hear. They may well be certain peoples ‘marmite’ but hey! I fucking love marmite!
@@timhitchcock9445 nah mate not really into RC, doing about 14 dates after Xmas, Holland, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Austria I might come 😉 have a better after show party mate

Always got that with Justin or NMA. Never picking sides, looking at the bigger picture instead. It's why I've loved them since 1992.
Thank you for this simple but so personal interview...
So eye to eye...
And thank you Justin for what you bring to my life with your music/poetry ❤

"everyone who has been in New Model Army - except for Michael - has played guitar on a NMA record"
Rob Heaton played the guitar opening on Green & Grey I seem to remember.....
@@_Ben4810 I remember seeing Rob play guitar for Joolz when she was support for NMA. Rock City I think in mid to late 80's
