Thanks for a great review Mike, despite the wind nearly blowing your camera over, well done. Ping hybrids are my personal favourites and my G30 3 hybrid is such a versatile club. I hit off the tee, off the fairway, out of the rough, out of a bunker, chip around the green and some times I even use it for long putts!
Nice review Mike. I personally can’t use hybrids because they can create a big miss left (toe hook) in comparison to a long iron. I totally understand why a lot of players use them and SHOULD use them.
Ping consistently make great hybrids, I tried the g400 and the cobra F7 (best out of all the ones i tried). I got the F7 but when it arrived it felt too upright and now I cant hit it as feels like its forcing me to come in steep for a decent connection. Wish i went Ping G400 now. However playing a 2nd hand ping g series 5 wood now and wouldnt change at all.
I suspect on a warmer day with less layers on you would hit the ball a fair bit further. I need 2 hybrids: one to go 200-210 yards and another to be a 220 yard club, I would be interested to see how these compare to the Mizuno CLK
id put the wilson c300 above all of these. i tested with the stock shafts. the wilson was night and day above the rogue or the m3 m4 option. hitting outside has only confirmed what the gc2 sim showed me....i had a chance to buy a used rougue for 149 or the wilson new at 209. glad i bought the c300
Another good video Mike, thanks very much. Would be interesting to see the same test with the same shaft in all three heads. I think this is a good comparison of off the shelf. However, if you get a fitting you more than likely won’t end up with the stock shaft. I have an Accra FX would be interesting to see how these would compare with that shaft.
Hey Mike. I have had great results with my Ping G 400 clubs. I have the Alta Senior Flex 70 shafts on my 30 degree and 22 degree Ping G 400 Hybrids. I am finding them to have deadly accuracy. Have you heard anything as far as how well these shafts are liked? My results have been pretty positive. Ping has this as an option. Thanks. Spider Dubiel
So essentially if the G400 had the same length shaft, you would see more yardage. That’s test for yardage has the G400 at a handicap due to shorter shaft.
I tried the Taylormade. I just could not warm up to it. There is no alignment mark either on the Taylormade. I don't like that . Ping all the way. Callaway is good too.
Am amazed at the result. Ping have made good hybrids in the past but this is just a rocet! And TM has totally messed up, they bought Adams a few years ago but just haven't capitalsed on the expertise this addded. Adams where the leading hybrid manufacturer, very highly regarded on the professional tours. What a wasted opportunity.
Michael Newton Golf That's interesting. Could you perhaps test the M3 Vs Mizuno CALL Vs Titleist H2?? Would be interesting to see how they stack up. Also have you reviewed the Cobra hybrids? Those rails must surely be ideal for hitting out of the rough, etc. Cheers Mike
Michael good video as always. I have a thought for your videos. Not just because this day was so cold but climate influences a lot with golf as we know. Why not open your videos prior to striking the ball with a camera shot of the temperature and humidity etc. A simple thermometer with the various readings would be valid in the summer and winter times. Just a thought and keep it up. The golf world would be a better place if we all swang like you. :)

Just bought g400 3 hybrid so much easier to hit than the taylormade sldr
Driver g400 3 wood i20 hybrid g400

I think the dispersion is better with the Ping too.

Great club the M4 i recommend it highly

PS CAn you test the Mizuno CLK hybrid? Have heard it's very good.

but would it be at the cost of accuracy? it must be built that way for a reason...
No weight in the bottom of the Rogue like the Epic...ugh if I shorten...not using hot melt or tape...ugh
G400 All day. Ping gets no respect on distance because they don't advertise BS like the others.
Can u compare titleist 818 too? With these?

Your swing looks awfully good to me...Very interesting that all your rogue shots bled right.
Still got 3 Adams hybrids in the bag, nothing beats them...
Great video! What software are you using to analyze the shots? Looks like it’s worthwhile in terms of its use
Foresight Sports GC2 with HMT Launch Monitor along with their software
M4 is a dashing club that will punish the ball. I am flabbergasted by its performance.
Cobra F8?
Well I carry 5 iron then 5 hybrid just cause that fils the gap best for me
Callaway x forged 18 vs mizuno mp18 sc
Rogue looks much more upright...did it feel that way to you?
Zachary Milos I’ve hit it and it is upright, put me right off it.
Yes it is a touch, this helps to stop the ball moving right so suits a player who tends to cut the ball more
So...........if you shorten the length as I do........It will be perfect!!!! YES
Not surprised. You cannot beat a Ping. I will take Ping any day! Spider Dubiel

The M1 & new M3 hybrids from TM have the classic Adams hybrid shape
