I'd been thinking about doing this since i bought an old, but in good nick, Fuji XT-1 last year. The retro thing with adapted vintage Zuiko lenses is the closest thing to analogue photography with the convenience of digital. Your vid bangs the nail right on the head! Now, if it ever stops raining here in London I'll get out and experiment! Great vid mate, cheers Rob!
Looking forward to seeing how your pics turn out with these settings. I think we all have a bit of GAS in all of us lol. Jerry’s thoughts in this vid made me laugh so much. She’s a funny girl!
Well done, Roberto. I had the Fuji x100t but I sold it. It’s surprisingly biggish compared to the em5 II for instance. Never really warmed up to the ergonomics. Two issues I had were the position of the q button and the fact that it had no tiltable screen. Plus the exposure compensation dial felt too stiff. Colours sooc were good and image quality was excellent. To be honest I don’t understand what the Fuji hype is all about. They make good camera’s but so is everybody else.
Yes. I wont get one. There is nothing realy extra the olympus cant do anyway. Plus its a fixed lens. I liked the little tweaks to jpg. I reckon the pen f would be a fun camera to have. Im srarting to appreciate the sooc jogs more now.
Thanks Holly. It's near the shutter button. Do a factory reset and by default it goes to the shadow function. Watch this one ruclips.net/video/efE3BJ1tQG0/видео.html
Interesting I think, Olympus firmware feature doesn't change for last 10 years, pretty much e-p1 have most of that except the higlight + shadow adjustment (highlight + shadow can be done in camera Raw Edit afterward anyways)
Oh. I didn't know. Sad the ep1 doesn't do it in camera.. but yes in post it's easy. There are also lots of 3rd party apps like dehancer that try to replicate Fuji films
Press Ok button to cycle from live view to SCP.. if it's not working. Make sure it's selected. Go to: custom menu / Disp / control settings... And depending what mode you want make sure Live SCP is selected
thank you these are good starting points! I've had serious FF (fujifilm, not full frame lol) envy lately- especially when it comes to everyday shooting in JPEG. I don't feel like getting into another system though especially with all the m43 lenses I've gathered over the past 12 years and generally I'm super happy with my Oly em1 for all my other needs (landscape, action, etc). I've learned to accept I won't get exact fujifilm results with the jpg output, but just different results because Oly jpegs are really good and when you do such tweaks you can get unique results. There are enough trendy fujifilm shooters using those film sims to death! Why follow suit? I wish Oly would let you tie the WB and Hi/Sh adjustments to each color profile because I can't waste all my C1-C4 settings on these! and its cumbersome to remember contrast, saturation, WB and Hi/Sh adjustment for each profile!
haha.. yes me too... I want that XT5 or XT4 or even the x100v (over priced) but don't want to swap systems and lenses... im so used to Olympus its like a glove on my hand... Yeah the simulations can also be done in post with things like DXO Filmpack.. but i found the tweaking on my EM10 worked good. I got them from Robtrek who experimented with them first.

Hi Andre. For Kodachrome you can only do it on the PEN-F camera because that camera lets you change the color wheel. No other camera lets you do that. the only way is via workspace. For the Fuji - i will put the settings in the notes section for easy access. LOL.. Jerry very naughty. Dont think she can swim :-)
