Wim is a Dutch motivational speaker and extreme athlete. He first rose to fame for his low temperature challenges, achieving world records for the fastest half marathon barefoot on ice and snow and longest swim under ice. He is also the founder of the world-renowned Wim Hof Method, a wellness regimen that utilises cold therapy and breathing techniques for self-improvement. He has written about his experiences and method in multiple popular books and was the subject of the New York Times bestselling book What Doesn't Kill Us.

The girl who interviewed him! Almost disdain in her attitude throughout the interview... and texting on her phone! What a sad representation of Cambridge youth. Wim Hof is a gift to humanity! The very young people may still be too inexperienced and egotistical to be able to value this man's wisdom and experience, and above all, to be able to recognize what a truly generous and strong soul looks like. Good of him to try to get his message across to the younger people. When he did the breathing exercise... many students sitting with their legs crossed, not even shifting their position... he was obvioulsy trying to be extra entertaining, no doubt feeling the lack of engagement from his audience. But he gave them all of his energy, as he always does. This is a man who has fought disbelief all his life, but has kept his heart open, an incredible feat in itself.
Undergraduates at every institution are not professionals and still very inexperienced, their affiliation with high institutions inflates their ego and they think they know everything. Once they move past undergrad they will understand they know nothing and will continue to grow

We found the Wim Hof Method during the first lockdown in the U.K. and have practiced the breathing exercises and cold exposure on a daily basis ever since (3y now) and it has helped us live in a house of love as opposed to a house of pain👍❤️

Wim Hof reminds me of the late great Steve Irwin. Steve was an Australian “wildlife warrior” whose unbridled passion, extreme enthusiasm and absolute belief in his purpose moved mountains towards changing perceptions of wildlife and conservation for generations to come. His authenticity shone through always and that’s why people loved him. Exactly how Wim Hof is too. Pure authenticity, pure belief and pure love for what he knows is true. He has had a profound impact on my life and that’s why I love him ❤

a lot of these students do not believe in anything outside the syllabus of what they are taught.
Wim’s unbridled enthusiasm and spontaneity is uplifting, motivating and transfusing. You can’t help adore this man. His genuine unfiltered delivery is both comical and compelling.

my website. Instead he says do the breathing and take a cold shower a day. I don’t see a reason not to try as both things as these are free.

If you listen to wim talk, he's full of more energy than most people you probably know. Notice how he breathes more than you do. After every sentence comes a breath and that's what we have forgot. Make the most of every singe breath you have

The man truly knows what he’s doing, every action is a moment is perfectly calculated while at the same time perfectly pure. This breaths he makes those students take will push our world forward at levels we can’t ever understand. The true battles are fought invisibly, heart against heart and those.
A look inside Cambridge Union so they can reveal their ignorance and addition to their mobile phones. The addiction to mobiles is known to be on par with alcoholism and drug addiction. Looks like Wim is wasting his time taking outside of the box, as Cambridge looks like another box.

If we all start to propagate his methods and use them, in 2 years the healthcare industry will be out of business and all the research money connectet to it, too. But we would be much more happy and much less stressed.
That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw your post about the disrespect . Sure, he's not presidential but he's Wim, and he has proven himself. I can't imagine what was going through his mind every time he saw the ignorant girl on her phone. It's all the out of control people that have made a difference in this world and science. He's by far the happiest person I'm seen and I'm sure he'll not replace that with any fakeness. Keep doing what you're doing Wim.

22:49 I think this was THE most disrespectful thing the interviewer could have done. Checking your phone? Helpful tip, If you are interviewing someone, turn your phone off and give them your full attention. Be completely mindful and present with the person you are interviewing. Make them feel the human connection with you more than your connection with your phone.

Great talk. He speaks a lot of wisdom and I love the cold showers .. been doing them over a year. They are fantastic !! The problem is that when he shouts; he loses the audience. If you are shouting; nobody wants to listen to you .. be careful of that.

It takes a special kind of folly, sleepiness, binary-thinking, disrespect to so disregard and ignore this rare guest. I don't resonate with about half of what Wim teaches, but what gemstones are there. The kids (this noun is a compliment) are having none of it: asleep. Just because Wim aint always tactful, likeable or right doesn't mean his Cambridge audience is healthy.

I don't support everything Wim says or does, but the 'honest biography' has an old tradition in public speaking, and candidness has been reviled in some British circles for a long time.
