I am 73 years old and basically just learning to crochet. I am really looking forward to making this blanket. You didn’t make it complicated and I felt like I was sitting there with you just Indian style lol thank you so much.
You have no idea how much I struggled learning other people's crocheting and then I found you! Not only did you help a beginner crocheter ypu also helped me provide a blanket for the newest edition to the family for next year 😫😫❤❤ THANK YOU SINCEARLY!!! ❤❤❤
This is my go-to pattern if I need a quick gift for a baby shower. Great video. I've made so many of these blankets since the first post. Thanks so much.
Thank you so much. I have been crochet for thirty years and always just did the basic stitch. I’m so grateful for those that share and do such a great job showing how easy it is. My blanket turned out beautiful. Thanks again.
Life With Sylvia You are very welcome. I had watched five videos before I came across yours and it was so easy and fun. I actually went with the Bernat pipsqueak yarn in the same color you used in the video. It was very easy. Thank you so much and I am looking forward to more videos.
If you have been crocheting for hurry years how the hell do you deal with the hand cramps I've been doing it for 3 years and my hands hurt all the time with hand rub too
Thank you so much! I used your technique with a j/10 needle and Bernat baby Pitter Patter and it came out just as I imagined. I wanted the holes to be smaller so the baby's fingers and toes wouldn't be so easily caught. Again thank you.
Thats so beautiful. I usually crochet lots of blankets and hand them into hospitals for premature babies. I hvnt been able to concieve myself for 13years and it brings me joy to hand these blankets to those mothers who have had their bundle of joy.. thank you so much for this pattern its beautiful 😘😘
Loved this tutorial. I made my very first blanket for my daughter who is having her first daughter in July. It turned out so beautiful that I made 2 of them. Thank you for explaining how to make a baby blanket so well. You are awesome! 😊👍🏼🎉🎊
Just started this for a friend at work who is having a baby! Only a few rows in and already it looks fantastic! I’m using the Bernat baby blanket yarn though. It’s all one texture, not the one you used. Thanks!😃
Thank you so much for this tutorial so easy to follow I'm a beginner and just done my first baby blanket following this and it turned out really good thank you x
Ilove this blanket. Iam making the same one but so far I have been putting just one dbl crochet i n each open space but I am going to start to put 2in each space because it will work up faster. I am so glad to have found this¡
I haven’t crochet in almost 30 years because I was raising 4 kids and just never had the time. All my kids are out of the house now. I just found your Chanel and immediately ran out to the store and bought the yarn a d made this blanket in 2 days. Can you do a tutorial on a baby mermaid outfit?
I am a new beginner to crocheting this blanket was very easy to make I had fun doing it and it didn’t take long to finish. The problem I had was find this yarn. I would make this again
Hi Sylvia! So glad to come across your channel. I have this yarn and tried this same stitch but following someone else and my blanket came out lobsided. Now I’m going to unravel and try yours that seems much easier to follow. I have a baby shower this Saturday and I hope to be done! Thank you and I can’t wait to see it complete! ❤️😁
This works up pretty fast, hope you like it and hope it works out for you! It should because it's a pretty easy pattern to follow. Thanks so much for watching and hope the new mom loves it ❤️
I am only starting my third row and I love how quick it's coming along and how pretty it's turning out BUT I didn't realize how to lose you need your very first chain to be so that it doesn't feel tight as you go. I have another baby blanket to make after this one so hopefully I can get it right the next time. I"m not using that mixed yarn either. I'm using barnat blanket. I love how soft this stuff is!!!! Thanks for the video!
Can you please make some more crochet videos like this it gave me a great idea to make blankets for my boys and for friends I've been a crocheter for years and need some new ideas thanks for this on hope you have more would like to see them please
Thanks for the pattern and tutorial. I noticed a hardworking teenager helping with the housework. Seldom see that these days. BTW, my 3 Great Danes have super sensitive ears and were going crazy the entire time I was watching. Keep in mind, change smoke detector batteries when daylight savings time comes around and ends. Better to be safe than sorry.
I like this. It seems very easy for me to start. Can you use Bernat Baby Blanket yarn. You mentioned in the video the plushier part kind of sticks to itself. The yarn I have is that whole bundle of the plushier yarn. Should I use the mix kind you used in the video instead?
Help! I got half way through the 2nd row and realised I only did a single double crochet on the first row. Can i fix that without starting over? Do i continue doing a single double crochet in that same spot?
I have done this before as well lol, I would start it over but I have also left it and honestly you don't even notice it. But no don't continue to do one single double crochet because then you will really notice it 🙂
I am (completely!) new to crocheting. Is this going to be doable for me, most likely? My daughter is due with my grandson in Nov. & I really thought this would be a very special, personable thing to make for the baby shower, which is in Sept. Thanks for any feedback!
What are the multiples of this pattern? I made one and it came out so beautiful and was so easy but I wanted to try with a thinner yarn and make it bigger. Do you know how many I would chain?
What are the multiples of this blanket ? I am guessing 4 ? I would like to make the blanket bigger. Love the pattern. Hope you respond to my question or perhaps you can post written pattern Thank you !!

Hi Sylvia! Please help! Can you tell me the name of the pink, grey, and white yarn you used on the finished baby blanket you showed in the beginning of the video? I'm having a hard time finding it. Thanks!
Thank you Sylvia! Can you tell me if it's brown or grey? It looked grey in the video but Little Petunias look pink and white with brown? Thanks again for your help!
chocolatepuddytat I was wondering the same thing. At the very end of the video she mentions that her final product was 31” by 30” which was good for a baby blanket.
I know you said you used 2 balls. But how many yards or oz were in each ball? I bought 2 ball that each had 72 yds is that enough/same as yours? Thanks

I would not cast on with pipsqueak, I start with the thicker yarn because it's easier to see chains, so if both ends of yarn start with pipsqueak cut it off lol it will make your life easier
Hey Sylvia, so I tried this pattern and I loved it soo much I actually bought 6 more skeins (on top of the two I had started. I want to make a bigger blanket so Im wondering have many chains do you think I should start with? I want it longer than wider but Im worried that it will turn out like a square instead of a rectangle. PS Im going to restart the blanket all together so in total ill have 8 skeins. Thank you!
Thank you very much! You just have to do multiples of 6 so this one I believe I did 60 chains to start. I would do 84 to 90 chains if you are going to use 8 skeins. :)
@@lifewithsylvia4411 I watched the video again and I wasn't doing the ends right. I was always doing single stitch at the end. Rewatched the video this morning tore it all out and started over. So far so good. Lol

She said multiples of 6. I did mine with 90 chains to start. She did hers with 60. So any multiple of 6 will work.
Adorable! How many balls of that yarn did it take for that size blanket?
Thank you! It only took 2 of the big balls of yarn for this size 😊

If we are making a bigger blanket how many more chains do we need to do
Your starting chain is multiples of 6 so just go as long as you want :)
@@lifewithsylvia4411 thank you

Its called Bernat Baby Bundle :)
How many yarn skans did you use to make that baby blanket
2 of the large balls of yarn
☺
I have 3 balls of the yarn so would I chain 48? Thanks for your help Sylvia.
No problem at all, yes I would it would make it a little longer with 3 balls of yarn. ;)
Very easy to make
