    Thank you so much! I used your technique with a j/10 needle and Bernat baby Pitter Patter and it came out just as I imagined. I wanted the holes to be smaller so the baby's fingers and toes wouldn't be so easily caught. Again thank you.

    I am only starting my third row and I love how quick it's coming along and how pretty it's turning out BUT I didn't realize how to lose you need your very first chain to be so that it doesn't feel tight as you go. I have another baby blanket to make after this one so hopefully I can get it right the next time. I"m not using that mixed yarn either. I'm using barnat blanket. I love how soft this stuff is!!!! Thanks for the video!

    I am a beginner crocheter and have this yarn but it's proving very difficult. The pipsqueak part got very tight and the blanket got much narrower using a different pattern. So I have unpicked to try this pattern. I cast on last time with the boucle from the middle so looked for the outer end and found it to be the pipsqueak. Arghh! On both balls. Should I trim to the chenille or will that make it short for the pattern? Also I only have a 10mm hook available. Is this okay or should I buy an 8mm? Thanks

    • @lifewithsylvia4411
      @lifewithsylvia4411  4 года назад

      You can use that hook, that's fine. When you come to the pipsqueak wine just try and loosen your tension like I mention in the video.

      @@lifewithsylvia4411 Okay. Thanks for your prompt reply. I will try again. Should I cast on with the pipsqueak or the boucle (or neither!)?

    • @lifewithsylvia4411
      @lifewithsylvia4411  4 года назад +1

      I would not cast on with pipsqueak, I start with the thicker yarn because it's easier to see chains, so if both ends of yarn start with pipsqueak cut it off lol it will make your life easier

    Hey Sylvia, so I tried this pattern and I loved it soo much I actually bought 6 more skeins (on top of the two I had started. I want to make a bigger blanket so Im wondering have many chains do you think I should start with? I want it longer than wider but Im worried that it will turn out like a square instead of a rectangle. PS Im going to restart the blanket all together so in total ill have 8 skeins. Thank you!

    • @lifewithsylvia4411
      @lifewithsylvia4411  4 года назад

      Thank you very much! You just have to do multiples of 6 so this one I believe I did 60 chains to start. I would do 84 to 90 chains if you are going to use 8 skeins. :)
