Celestial Pearl Danios and Betta Tank Set Up

It's just like paradise fish, mental state of which depends greatly of tank arrangement and socialisation. Raised from fry among other species and a lot of plants it's not even close aggressive as most of cichlids. You can even keep multiple males, just be sure to have at least four (males) in tank of proper size.

I’ve got my betta with CPDs. Most resources I checked online said they’d be good tank mates. CPDs don’t fin nip and know to stay out of the Bettas way

I would recommend NOT do pet shopping at chain stores, but if you look around you might find a private owned pet store near your location.

Are they still doing okay? I’ve heard that CPD’s don’t do to well in heated water, or if the water’s not heated, the betta doesn’t do that well.

They are both still doing well and the water is not heated.

A Betta will attack a celestial pearl danio. I have tried it. May be yours is old and more calm, but this is not a good idea. Also, their ideal temperatures are very different.
