Haha thanks for sharing. I want to prank my future wife with guy in yellow, black karate uniform trying to kidnap and I leap over wedding banquet table and it's on.
This movie means so much to me. Spent 7 years in Japan and before I went this was ALL I knew about Japan. But the movie planted that seed. I can trace my passion for Japan back to THIS movie. My very first English student there was named Kumiko!!! I saw this in the movie theater with my parents. I'm a pure child of the 80s! Love this movie so much ❤️
Same. This movie made me love Japan’s culture as well! My Dad lived there for 2 years in the late 70’s, before I was born & I can see why he loved it so much! 💛
This is the first movie that made me cry. That's a rare thing to happen when I watch something. But this movie did it. If I had to describe it with a word, it would be passion. The soundtrack is made with passion. The characters are memorable and none of them is truly evil. They were made with passion. The story is great, and overall, the people in charge of this movie had passion for the first, and this is one of the best movies in history. I know I will sound like Johnny when I say this, but the 80's was the best time for movies. We had movies like Return of the Jedi, this masterpiece of a movie called Karate Kid 2 and many more.
As a young lad, I thought of one day possibly meeting Kumiko and being her hero... Lol 😆! Little did know that life doesn't work like that, but it was beautiful to dream it ☺️... Our age of innocence 😁
This song literally makes me cry like a baby 😭 "I am a man who will fight for your honor, I'll be the hero you've been dreaming of" Are there any men in this world like this? A girl can dream 💕❤️
I try to be this man for my wife every day. I hear, "I love you so much" at least once/day, so hopefully I'm doing a good job. My wife is God's gift to me. I'm extremely blessed.
There are men out there like this, if they've been raised right, if not it may take them awhile to learn how to truly show it. Be patient and hopeful. Been with my hubby 43 years.
Everyone is so nostalgic about the 80's. Yes, it was great. I am 48 now. Believe me or not, I build my man cave like the eighties. Even bought a commodore 64 computer again to have some arcade fun again. Yes I miss these days but good luck we have the current technology like You tube to go back and see and hear our movies and music we loved in "our" time. Long live the 80's.
There is a scene in KK2 that made me lose it. After Miyagi loses his father, he sits on the beach and reflects quietly, alone, while looking out on the ocean. Daniel sees him, joins him and shares memories of his own Dad and his feelings about his Dad's passing. The tender comforting that Daniel offers to Miyagi is just heartrending..
Daniel has tv show called "Cobra Kai" it's great they have flashback of Morita .. wondering if they will bring the lady in this movie to the show.. they have Kreese back and Ally
I was in the Navy and we went to the Philippines, I met my Gaylin and for 2 weeks we had the times of our lives, Riding around on her scooter, sneaking off to the mountains, the day before I had to leave I went to her back window to scare her and heard her on the phone with her sister saying "I love him and he's leaving me, my stomach hurts" I had never in my life heard anybody say that about me other than my family, I literally froze, never told her that I heard her words, we spent the whole night looking for sea urchins under the moonlight, and playing Uno.....young love
I'm 34 and like this song but it's all relative. You love the generation of music you grew up with. 30 years from now these youngters older at that time will say the 2020's music was much better
lvitela24 no they won’t. This song was a classic in the 90s and 2000s. There are 2000s films that are classics but the soundtracks were fairly bland. Even the remade films with the same composers have lazy soundtracks. Compare the Lion King original to the new one. If you want to hear what a good update sounds like play the broadway version. I’d only heard the broadway version last month so it’s not nostalgia or anything. Perhaps we’re too saturated or diluted now but artists put more effort into movie and even cartoon songs back then. The dude that sang duck tales is still a beast, he did tekken 5’s op too. Even forgotten toons like Denver the last dinosaur, dinosaucers and widget the world watcher had boss OPs (there were a lot of cartoons about dinosaurs, aliens or both in the 80s/90s) Now unless it’s coming out of Japan you aren’t going to hear anything a memorable as TMNT, Ghostbusters, etc in toons & or movies. who has memorable theme songs now?
If you're watching this in 2024, I love you and you're younger than what you think.

The 80s we were so blessed to have been teenagers during this time . I wanna go back and do it all over.. with just a few changes.
Damn right
The song my husband dedicated to me on our wedding day... 16 years later, the feeling I got when he looked at me on the dance floor and the song started playing 💖 I still remember
I cried when I read this comment. Wow, so touching.
Beautiful x

Sooo sweet.!
Haha thanks for sharing. I want to prank my future wife with guy in yellow, black karate uniform trying to kidnap and I leap over wedding banquet table and it's on.
If you're reading this, then you know what good music sounds like.
The 80's had heart.❤
Nossa que saudades tempos bons que não volta mais só lembranças boas ó saudades desse filme ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Daniel's expression while Kumiko holding a fan dancing. Truly amazing moment.
Watch Cobra Kai S3. Daniel did the same stare to Kumiko when she was performing on stage with the kids.
Daniel Alva Live You have the Love 💘 you are on my mind all day today
Daniel Alva Live You 🙂🙂✅💘😂
yeeeesss
This movie means so much to me. Spent 7 years in Japan and before I went this was ALL I knew about Japan. But the movie planted that seed. I can trace my passion for Japan back to THIS movie. My very first English student there was named Kumiko!!! I saw this in the movie theater with my parents. I'm a pure child of the 80s! Love this movie so much ❤️
I had the same feeling too! ❤️
Filmed in Hawaii.
Growing up 80's can't be beat.
Same. This movie made me love Japan’s culture as well! My Dad lived there for 2 years in the late 70’s, before I was born & I can see why he loved it so much! 💛
Trivia is the part 2 was filmed in Hawaii and and it shouldn't be Japan which inspired u..
Yup. May of 2023 and this is STILL one of the best songs/movies of all time.
The 80's, the best decade ❤
The BEST of all of the Karate Kid movies. Hands down! Who DIDN’T want to go to Okinawa when they watched this movie???
yes the best!!
LOL facts!!! and I still wanna go!!!
As a young lad, I thought of one day possibly meeting Kumiko and being her hero... Lol 😆! Little did know that life doesn't work like that, but it was beautiful to dream it ☺️... Our age of innocence 😁
Same feeling here! ❤️
This song literally makes me cry like a baby 😭 "I am a man who will fight for your honor, I'll be the hero you've been dreaming of"
Are there any men in this world like this? A girl can dream 💕❤️
We are here
Jennifer you are beautiful 🌹 😉 💚
Right here
I try to be this man for my wife every day.
My God the memories from my youth that come flooding back whenever I hear this gem 💎
Linda canção excelente filme !! anos 80 indiscutivelmente a melhor época de todos os tempos, só isso que tenho a dizer nada mais 🇧🇷
Concordo plenamente com você. Agradeço a Deus por ter vivido esses momentos.
I miss the 80's
Me too.....was a fantastic era to be around.
You speak the truth
I wasn't born until the late 90's, so I'll have to take your word for it. :)
I don't because i wasn't alive in the 80's xD
@seanpeters3690 I was born in 2003 where Johnny Cash died
Eu tenho 12 anos e adoro está música.

Nós que vivemos a adolescência nos anos 80 fomos muito privilegiados ,era tudo perfeito.
Música de qualidade .. Ouvindo em 2023❤
Nicolas Dierickx 36, agreed. Half the 90’s sucked.🤣😎
I'll see that Commodore 64 and raise you my TI-99/4A!
man get u a gamebox hero. Has 22 gaming units on it. Im 45 and truly miss the 80s.
I always loved the friendship with Daniel and Mr Miyagi.
I always love watching the movies over and over again😍😍😍👍
Hhahhahzhhahshhsauzhuauzihsiusiziiijaijjjijsjjsjisjiiiiiiiikijkokikooijoiko
Yes! Their father/son relationship is so beautiful! I love it so much!

I just finished watching the movie yesterday..one of the few sequels that did better than the original movie I have heard

That's saying something about the millennial talent pool, it needs a serious cleansing
This is one of my favorite love songs of all time and will always be associated with Karate kid 2.
I'm sorry but you just can't beat music from the 80s. I'm so glad I grew up during that time.
Even movie soundtracks were better than today's singles.
I'm 34 and like this song but it's all relative. You love the generation of music you grew up with. 30 years from now these youngters older at that time will say the 2020's music was much better
@@anon2414 hell no
I'm still a teen and this is better than most shit today
@@mikhailcunin6229 to each his own. Everyone likes their own music
lvitela24 no they won’t.
