I'm 30 now and this always brings tears to me, my parents got married to Chicago songs and Peter's voice is timeless and hits the spot right In your feels. Listening to this song today 07/02/23. I was out hiking with my dog & love it every minute of it. When we got back to my vehicle & started driving this song was playing on the radio. This was a very special song to me and my girlfriend before I left for the military in 1983. It took a year to get back together, and got married a year after that. 37 years married now, and the song brings back many fond memories of our early days.

At 52 dealing with cancer the last two years this song made cry because it took me straight back to when I was about 12 years old. It reminded me as a kid. Great song. Nostalgic
Started with stage 1 Colon cancer, treated that and had surgery. Dealt with an illeostomy for 8 months until it was reversed. They did scans and found stage 4 liver cancer. My blood labs come back good and recent scans show some legions have disappeared and the other shrunk. Thank God.

At 52 dealing with cancer the last two years this song made cry because it took me straight back to when I was about 12 years old. It reminded me as a kid. Great song. Nostalgic
At what stage you are?
Started with stage 1 Colon cancer, treated that and had surgery. Dealt with an illeostomy for 8 months until it was reversed. They did scans and found stage 4 liver cancer. My blood labs come back good and recent scans show some legions have disappeared and the other shrunk. Thank God.

I remember this song and though I don't listen to it often, it's a part of my life I will never even begin to detest. Like you said, simpler times. I can't remember seeing the video until now but I love the simplicity and it helps take me back to my childhood. Whether it came on the radio or my dad playing this song on his record player or on his guitar.
I've been struggling lately and very nostalgic because of this....and reading your comment really helped as well as enforced how I feel and how I live my life.. always trying to connect to others, stranger or familiar.
