    Great tool. Dozens of bike shops and mechanics I talked to never mentioned this tool. Some even said to throw away your cranks.

    Used it this week on a stripped crank and it actually worked! For an octalink crank - which I have - you need to insert something like the Shimano TL-FC 15.

    I tried to remove the crank arm but forgot to remove the washer first and now the threads are completely destroyed and the washer is stuck inside, I'm going to look for this thing, hopefully it will help

    just bought one, can't get it to bite into metal, don't seem to be enough metal shaft to bite into.

      4 years too late, but did you remove the crank bolt lol
