Dame Patricia Routledge was an icon. A wonderful actor and comedian. But she could also SING...!!! And i mean operatically sing. As she was trained that way. I've heard some of her performances here on RUclips and being a singer myself i was extremely impressed. She really could do it all. And she is so deserving of everything she's accomplished. A very learned and sophisticated lady for sure. Thank you for uploading this brings back a lot of memories.

It seems as though it's a computer generated voice, speaking in American English, with an American accent. Odd.
It is this AI that all these videos are using now, I dislike it. Many will pronounce names several different ways throughout the video. I am American and agree it should be a British narrator, even my gps on my phone is set with a British accent!🙂 I love British TV, this is one of my favorites, I bought the DVD set, same with Are You Being Served?.

Didn't know Shirley Stelfox was the first to play to play Rose. She presumably left to take up her long term role as Edna Birch in Emmerdale . I also saw her on Talking Pictures TV in an episode of Crown Court.
Anyone seeing the two other performances would never recognise her as Edna, with her bunched up hair concealed by a hat, prim dress sense and pinched, disapproving expression

Terribly???? Everybody are aging in their times. What terribly is this ???? Nothing ! Aging is a normal process in people's lifes. Only they, who have died young, didn't aging terribly (I mean normally).

@@annegoodreau4925 They never showed Violet on the show as far as I know, until later in the series. Eventually they did show Violet on a few episodes. So whoever played her should have been on this list. On the other hand, I’m pretty sure they never once showed their son, I think his name was Sheridan, because Hyacinth always talked to him only by phone on the show and we never saw his face. (Correct me if I’m wrong)
