How did you find your first ever PC build? Stressful? Fun? Still considering building your first? Let me know in the comments! Also, don’t forget to read the complete write up including performance data here 👉 www.mrmattlee.com/post/fractaltorrentnano
Haven't done it yet completely from scratch but I upgraded the prebuilt that I currently use a few times so I kinda know what I'm getting into. I basically plan to do something simple with air cooling and the most likely case I'll end up going with is Fractal Torrent Compact because it comes with 2 180mm fans. I considered the North as well, for better aesthetic but still I think airflow is more important plus the Compact has a dedicated restart button which I like having for some reason.
I only really watched PC builders when I need to build a PC (which is rare), earlier this year I watched a lot of Matt's videos for ideas but also for the way these videos are put together, its part educational, part art. I'm now building a new PC for my lad for Christmas so I'm back watching the artist formerly known as Mr Matt Lee. * I've noticed a legion of Matt Lee imitators and they are good but nowhere near this level. “Often imitated, never duplicated”
your channel inspired me to build an aesthetically looking pc. if it weren't for you i would've built myself a hot mess. thank god my pc looks powerful and performs the same altogether. cheers
Oh my god I was just researching this case. i have not even seen the video yet but thank you so freaking much Mr Matt Lee. E: Okay so this aesthetic is exactly what I was looking for my next ITX build. I was debating on the choice of the CPU cooler and back fan but this video did it for me. This is amazing!
I absolutely loved my compact but man! The cable management is so tight in them. Apart from that it was a really good air flow case. I had the black solid side one, one of the most silent cases I’ve had to date, 2 180’s ar the front was just insane flow.
I LOVE these videos. If you included a noise test at the end of these types of builds that would just be a cherry on top. Regardless though, you have earned a subscriber!
Waiting for your answer, I think it's better that you upgrade to Windows 11, as it seems to perform a little better if you have an Intel processor, just try to activate it properly so you don't have so many problems.
That's probably gonna be my next case. Being able to fit a full-sized GPU and air cooler into something smaller like that is just awesome, and full-sized PSU is a bonus. Super clean build, too. I dig.
Not just for beginners, I'm building PCs since the late 90s and would use this no problem. Very nice case indeed. I think I'd challenge myself to water cool it though. Nice build Mr Matt sir.
Damn it....another case I want, cause of the infamous Matt Lee!!! This looks so damn good!! First ever pc build...was back in 1994....scary I guess, but I was young, and had some good people to lean on for help when needed. So much more went into doing builds back then, jumpers, cables, the works. All in all it turned out pretty good.
These ITX builds really got me wanting to build a production PC when I get back to the states. Great build as always Matt. I got myself deciding between fractal or antec for my next three builds. Great video and coffee.
Have this in black. It is a fantastic case as far as looks and build quality. The biggest issue for me was the gpu thermals on my 2.7 slot card. 2 slot cards are the way to go with this case. That 180mm fan is WILD. Awesome Video!
Beautiful compact build 🥰, perfect for some ZEN with my Coffee. Love how all fits perfectly. Should function great with the i5 CPU. Wondering how it would have looked with an entirely white motherboard. Nice combo of hardware. The Case is very cute, love the front grill. Two thumbs up. Time for another cuppa coffee and some more ZEN. Thanks Mr. Matt Lee. 👍🤛
Oooh Ive been waiting for this one! A Mr. Matt Lee video is as good as real hands on experience with a case. I want to see one of these with a DeepCool Assassin 4
Pro tip I found with this case, turn all your fans to exhaust out the front of the case so then both cpu and gpu get fresh air and the huge fan does all the work it wants
Te llamas Raymundo, por lo que deberias hablar español, Entonces tienes ese Case, lo que hiciste fue que el ventilador frontal en vez de meter aire, lo rotaste y ahora saca aire y los de 120mm meten aire?.
It's been years since the release of the torrent and no other company competed with it. Been waiting for an airflow case with a top mounted PSU just like it but cheaper.
I've been trying to get what I think is one of the best looking and performance Mini ITX cases ever. I wonder why Fractal stopped supplying these. One's that are available are very expensive.
I wouldn't call that case a perfect ITX pc guild for beginners. Mainly due to the available cable space behind the motherboard making cable management one heck of a challenge. CPU power and fan cable can also be a bit of a challenge, due to the tight space, may require you to have everything connected before slotting the mainboard in. Otherwise, a fantastic airflow case if you can deal with that.
I find this case not ideal and almost "outdated". Despite its size (compared to other MITX cases), it doesn't fit very many/large components. But your video is great again.
this actually looks really good, I am wondering if I should get this case now but I have a gigabyte 4080 super gaming oc and don't think it will fit :(
I wish the Fractal logo was optional, you can paint it or pot a sticker over it but it won’t be clean. just make it a magnetic clip so we can remove it for a clean look. I feel like we should push back on non removable non hidden branding, on everything. we already paid for the product we shouldn’t be forced to advertise it.

My first build was 24 years ago so yeah it was quite the experience lol
@@itzamedave6242oh man! Back when internal hardware aesthetics didn’t even play a small role 😅 great times!
My first pc build was on pentium III 😅

This is by far the most beautiful build I've seen this year. So simple and clean. This is what we used to have when simplicity's the key.
The information you provide is accurate, the build is beautiful, and the configuration is perfect.
Ahhh, that’s a wholesome comment! Thank you 🤜🤛

“Often imitated, never duplicated”
you're building a PC for a friend? For Christmas? Damn, I need new friends lol.
love watching your videos while having my afternoon coffee or like we say in Germany "Kaffee und Kuchen"
your channel inspired me to build an aesthetically looking pc. if it weren't for you i would've built myself a hot mess. thank god my pc looks powerful and performs the same altogether. cheers

This is amazing!
Well that’s perfect timing then, hey! 😁 Enjoy the video and best of luck with your upcoming build 🙌
You really don’t need that back fan. Since it failed on me I haven’t replaced it and didn’t notice any temp rise. Wonderful case 👌
I think on 3:06 you can see that this cooler dont do a full contact with CPU surface!!
Pc is pc, but music in your videos is.. so relaxing and deep. I would like to listen to it as a soundtrack sometimes
one of the tracks is dreem - full train

Torrent Nano gang represent!! I love this case so much.
I LOVE these videos. If you included a noise test at the end of these types of builds that would just be a cherry on top. Regardless though, you have earned a subscriber!
good pc and more impressive in casar, but a question since you use an inetl processor, do you suggest continuing with windows10 or moving to 11?
Waiting for your answer, I think it's better that you upgrade to Windows 11, as it seems to perform a little better if you have an Intel processor, just try to activate it properly so you don't have so many problems.
The Windows 11 on my laptop is from BNH Software and it's working fine for me, so maybe I can get version 10 for my PC from now on.
My main PC is built into a full-size Fractal Torrent. I love that case!
That's probably gonna be my next case. Being able to fit a full-sized GPU and air cooler into something smaller like that is just awesome, and full-sized PSU is a bonus. Super clean build, too. I dig.
simple and clean builds are just satisfyingly beautiful
Not just for beginners, I'm building PCs since the late 90s and would use this no problem. Very nice case indeed. I think I'd challenge myself to water cool it though. Nice build Mr Matt sir.
i just bought a normal sized fractal torrent, just love that there's fans below the GPU :) this one is its cute little sibling

You deserve more than a million subscribers!
Thank you for including those cable extensions. I think they really put the build on a whole other level. Well done!
5:24 Lovely sound!
If only 12VHPWR connectors had that same *click* 😭
Every time I click on one of your videos, Mr Matt, I know I will always be in for a treat. Well done as always!
You never disappoint. I learned a lot from your videos and now I understand better how to build computers😊😊
I love that little case. Sorta wish more case manufacturers would design around the idea of a straight up wind tunnel :D
This falling power supply at the end gave me heart attack :D. Awesome build,as always!
These ITX builds really got me wanting to build a production PC when I get back to the states. Great build as always Matt. I got myself deciding between fractal or antec for my next three builds. Great video and coffee.

after watching this video - tears came out from my eyes!!!😢😢😢
Nice itx build, that case is awesome. Small but mighty
It’s so clean ❤ love you Mr. Matt God bless you.
letsgo finally matt build a torrent nano. i love the big fan at the front of the case :)
Nice compact white build, like it. Personaly like more dark bulds. Congrats at another great/small build Matt👍👍👍
05:54 also the hot air which is rising is getting absorbed by the PSU and blown out at the back.
great stuff like always, I build my PC in a torrent compact a year ago because of your video.
I like this less Talk More Visualization and nice beats
I was thinking of a Mr. Bean Compilation with Matt's clips. No word, yet we know the feelings.
Thank you Matt. ☕️
You’re welcome! Have an epic week 😁
@@Mr_Matt_Lee You too my friend.
Thanks Mr. Matt Lee. 👍🤛
I'm going to make this in an arrow lake/battlemage build. Great work!!!!
Another work of art such a great production
Thank you 😊🙌
thanks for the reminder to refill my coffee, the PC looks good too.
Great fun and relaxing to watch as always! Nice work 👍
Thank you, stoked you enjoyed the video 😊
このケース大好きなのでとてもうれしいです!
全体が白で、スタイリッシュにまとまっていていいですね!
Oooh Ive been waiting for this one!
A Mr. Matt Lee video is as good as real hands on experience with a case.
I want to see one of these with a DeepCool Assassin 4
Blowing on the fans before attaching them... Nice cinematographic touch 😂
I like the build.. I would love unedited footage for beginners.
Amazing work as always 👍
Thats a very beautiful white build.
You should make movies. Quality is insane!
Great aesthetic build! ❤
Wow so Cool! I wish I had one. 👍❤
Compact Pc with a lot of Power ShowYourPrimeASUS
ahhhh yes ITX ftw!!!!
We gotta love the ITX board round here 🙌
This case is awesome.
That’s massive for ITX
Amazing, really !
Nice Build Bro!!!
I so badly wish Fractal still made these cases, or the meshify nanos
Wow this is so nice
Pro tip I found with this case, turn all your fans to exhaust out the front of the case so then both cpu and gpu get fresh air and the huge fan does all the work it wants
Wow really, I might try this
I remember building with the Torrent Compact on the channel a couple of years ago and I have to agree, it’s really really great! ☺️
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻☕️👌🏻Classy!!!
PSU back at the top 😊😊
Love that top mount PSU location 😮💨
Chocolate com Pimenta !🌶☕
Lovely pc case ❤
Haha the bloopers are great xD
항상 멋진 영상 감사해요 ^^
You’re welcome 😁 Thanks for being here!
so cute! haha i hope their will be a build for black version of this case.. thanks!
Haven't seen any 180mm fans since my Silverstone Raven II days which I still own
It's been years since the release of the torrent and no other company competed with it. Been waiting for an airflow case with a top mounted PSU just like it but cheaper.
Какая прекрасная белая сборка!!!
Torrent series were good, especially the ex-tra large front FAN...😁
Oh yes! The best part of all is that it moves so much air, with very little noise at all! 😀💨
From the size its an M-ATX. Just got one from Jonsbo with the front screen that is a bit smaller than this one.
love ya mate
Thank you! ❤
Most welcome! 🤜🤛
FD! We need Torrent Mini for mATX!!!
I've been trying to get what I think is one of the best looking and performance Mini ITX cases ever. I wonder why Fractal stopped supplying these. One's that are available are very expensive.
I wish they still made this case.
Amazing job! I like this setup! Are you Rodrigo Santoro's brother? (Just kidding) :)
I miss this case. I regret selling it.
What's that drum and bass track in the latter third of the vid? huge fan of the track as it fits the build and cinematography perfectly.
The best airflow focused case just got the *smol* variant
It’s insane how much airflow the Torrent series create! 💨💨
What ASUS Keyboard and Mouse combo is that?! 🔥🔥🔥
Matt, love your videos man! Would it be possible if you could add in the description how much your builds cost at the time?
Fractal Meshify Nano ITX with a 240mm radiator next pls 🙏
Can't find this case in stock anywhere in the US
Very clean, could you squeeze a bigger GPU in that build?
Can you add some Benchmark to the End ? I’m interested in CPU/GPU Temps in your Builds.
Thank’s for your Work ❤
See the pinned comment my friend 🙌
this is all you need for gaming and should beat the ps5 pro :) you should add a white controller ;)
I find this case not ideal and almost "outdated". Despite its size (compared to other MITX cases), it doesn't fit very many/large components. But your video is great again.
Great work my good sir 🖤
What is the precision screwdriver kit you always use for the nvme heatsinks?
thin I can use the 650 project zero board in this with a little modding
All assemblies are made with soul. You are great. Success and inspiration in your future work! Greetings from Ukraine!
Matt bro Open case build? Xproto and noctua fans
Wish this case supported M-Atx boards.
Cheesy jokes - but did make me smile 😂
this actually looks really good, I am wondering if I should get this case now but I have a gigabyte 4080 super gaming oc and don't think it will fit :(
What do you think about fractal meshify nano case ? vs torrent nano which one should u advise ?
I wish the Fractal logo was optional, you can paint it or pot a sticker over it but it won’t be clean. just make it a magnetic clip so we can remove it for a clean look. I feel like we should push back on non removable non hidden branding, on everything. we already paid for the product we shouldn’t be forced to advertise it.
Hey, do you know will the Fractal Design Torrent Nano be available ever again?
