THIS is ITX Perfection... | Fractal Design Terra AMD Gaming PC Build | Radeon RX 7900 XT, SFF

- #fractaldesign #Noctua #asuspcdiy - It's been around 7 months since the first time I built with the iconic Fractal Terra chassis. I've been itching to build a blackout version ever since for my studio... This time it's personal.
Timecodes, though I don't recommend skipping for visual narrative reasons!
00:00 - A Calming Intro

The Fractal Design Terra chassis bridges the gap for small form enthusiasts and first time builders alike. The open nature of the case design simplifies assembly whilst offering great hardware support thanks to its adjustable backbone.
For this build I wanted to assemble a blackout gaming PC with modest performance to be used in the studio for light gaming and running creative applications such as Lightroom & Photoshop. It goes without saying that the RX 7900 XT & Ryzen 5 7600 combo gets the job done nicely, without the worry of excessive heat.
Speaking of heat, the additional bottom intake fan helps to push warm air away from the GPU when idle and under load. Further to this, it gives the chassis a little more airflow direction and whilst it's not particularly needed in the first place, it's welcomed for sure.
For my final thoughts on the Fractal Terra, check out the paragraph below the following links:

To wrap this up, the Fractal Design Terra brings unique looks, solid performance and small footprint without compromising on hardware support. The build process was relaxing, intuitive and actually really good fun! I adore the wood touches as we've previously come to enjoy from the North chassis, which makes the Terra up there with one of my favourite chassis, even still in 2024!
Which Fractal Terra chassis version would you choose?

Not sure what hit me in the feels more, the RAM to CPU cooler heatsink clearances, or the leaf to the eye during the outtakes 😂 If you have any funny PC building mishaps or happy accidents, let’s hear them! Share below 👇
После сборки ПК, забыл включить кнопку питания на блоке питания (было и смешно и не смешно одновременно)
@@alexander.grinchukYou live and learn! 😂👉⚡️
@@Mr_Matt_Lee Это точно!!! 😀
@@Mr_Matt_Lee When installing RAM, the heatsink fell in half
2 years ago my corsair psu died. I had a 450w platinum and they send me a 650w gold as replacement when installing the new power supply i broke my case power butun x) and the power supply didn't work so I had to buy a new case and a new psu
This just shows Matt's attention to detail, he even swapped out the rubber parts of the noctua fan just to get that slight brown touch like whats on the Fractal case he used 🔥
😊🙌 Thanks for pointing that out. Sure, you can’t see those details when the case is closed… but I know they are there and I’m proud of that 🪵 it’s all in the details
sorry but that doesn't make any sense, because it's a close box nothing to show, i understand it's nice but useless as detail mater when you can view the inside
@@mateoharmiss5830Some people pay for carbon fibre engine covers on their cars… wear designer underwear, get body piercings in forbidden places, all of which other people can’t see. but they know it’s there, it’s how it makes you feel. Details matter to some people and that’s absolutely fine 🙂
sure Matt is that, just through the videos, the way videos are editted, he must be a carefully details person
@@Mr_Matt_Lee Don't take my comment to personal, most people that modified their cars will show it when there around the boys, having nice underwear is good as you never know when your about to get laid lol, am sure you get my point and i understand yours and that's why i like your videos and follow, but that was just a small detail that didn't do much or was worth it that all am saying.
I love what Fractal design is doing with modern cases. Finally making aesthetically pleasing cases that don't scream GAMER! Like a piece of furniture that accents the room rather than throws it off.
It kind of gives off a retro gamer aesthetic as well. I look at this and the North and couldn't help but think of the Atari 2600.
Agreed, I spent more time on my newest build finding a case than anything else. For SFF builds there is now a pretty good choice of beautiful cases (for a price), but for desktop workstation builds, we def need more companies like Fractal making interesting and pleasing designs.
A whole new level of neat. You should do more ITX builds. Great job as always, Matt!
Matt, your lighting is perfection. From the sublimely lit opening story scene, through to the perfect tonality on every single frame, pale skin tones to deepest blacks … wow! I don’t know if many people understand how much skill, time or creative vision is required to achieve this. And the build is beautiful too, so classy. Now watching again :-)
Love the lil brown touches with the black, so fitting and the overall setup is just *chef's kiss* Great video as always!
I love the ambience of your studio. It all fits together really well and the small PC integrates really well into it. Another great video. Love it 💯👍❤
The whole video is a piece of art, congratulation. Well done. Pure inspirational, I now want to build one for myself 😁
I like the screwdriver plant! And a really fantastic video. As always.
Yep. This is the one. I will be copying this piece for piece. Thanks Matt!
Yet another beautiful build. The attention to details like the fan corner pads make all the difference.
The airflow visualization is so good
Beautifully shot and edited, a great, aesthetically pleasing build. Very nice... 👍
Man, your channel, content is amazing!!! Esthetic perfection. Thanks a lot for this! Bravo!
Hell yes! That heatsink fitment tickles the ITX OCD. Also... this particular Terra has a gorgeous walnut grain
I think is the best assembly that I ever seem ! And pefect Video for that ! Congratulations !
Small but elegant, and perfect to transport easily, a trully great looking build once again
another gorgeous build! well done MML!
Шедевр, настоящая эстетика!
Мне жаль что подобные профессионально снятые видео не набирают 1 миллион просмотров, это достойно того
That’s my dream pc! It’s so perfect!!!! And that case is imo one of the best out there
So glad you include little outtakes from your builds. This build is one of my favorite as I've been so on the fence about converting my atx build into an ITX using a case like this one recently. 🤔
do it!
Have just bought this case (In Jade) for my next build. Never built an ITX before and you're video came straight up when I searched for a build using a Fractal case - Love it. 😊😊
You are so innovative. Your videos are so well produced. Attention to details is getting improved with every new video you upload.
Top notch production!
Keep up great work!
I have just build midi-ATX in Fractal Design North. Been thinking a lot about Terra and iTX but wasn't courage enough.
My next build is definitely iTX perfection like this.
You deliver as always...that was an awesome video.
Best editing I've seen, keep up the great work.
It's the ATD that keeps bringing me back. Keep up the good work.
Loved that build. So much detail. Thanks for your work, Matt. And that wasted joke at the end. 🙈
Absolutely fantastic build as usual. The outtakes at the end were a great touch :D
😅 I took a leaf to the eye in the name of filmmaking for you haha
Such a beautiful case! Nice build you made out of it.
Wish they came with a mid tower version of this case-design...
wow, this channel grew so quick! when i first subscribed to Matt Lee, he was only at around 9000 subs, and now he is at 131k! congrats man.
Glad to see an amd build :) I hope to see an all white build from you too, they deserve love also
Damn thats a nice case. My next build will be in a far smaller case like this. Great video man.
I always find it interesting to watching mini itx pcs get built because there are some really good looking mini itx pc builds
Ive never seen a pc build video so cool as this . Looking to build this exact build very nice
😇
Love your videos Matt.. totally love your vibe.. no insane amounts of gibberish talking, no absurd jokes, just pure building skill and serenity 😊
Love my Terra build. The first Pro Art video you did on it was quite inspiring
I honestly think I may move to this case for this year. NR200 has been good to me, but this case just speaks to me. Awesome vid!
Sorry forgot to mention brilliant video again really loved it, thankyou.
Beautiful setup ❤
Thank you 🤎🖤
Gorgeous.
Thanks for video
Very beautiful build. Good job again
Another stunner of a build and video. I want to build an mini itx so badly!
DO IT!
Mr Matt Lee I toast you sir. I love watching your videos. They are a work of art just like your builds.
Easily my number one must instant watch channel on yt.
just build in this exact case, remarkably simple considering the super compact size. you certainly know how to show it off big time
wow, I am loving this build.
Love this case so stylish and elegant! Would love to see a Thermaltake tower 300 build!
These videos really blend gaming PC builds into art.
such a beautiful video, such a lovely build
These videos are so well done
Gorgeous build man
The clearances were neat and clean.
I like that u put your coffee beside the build, showing the hot mist coming out from the cup, unlike others they only put a tiny green plant there😅
I love the music you use in your videos.
W itx builds!!! Always listens to the people what a g!
Cinematically done!
“The Brave Little Toaster” vibes right there! lol
But after watching this video it makes me want to go with this case now……
For anyone building in this case, the bottom fan should be exhaust. The case has plenty of intake from the side. A bottom intake just recirculates the same hot air inside from the GPU and CPU.
But wouldnt the hot air exhausted from bottom raise and get sucked in from sides again too? I mean im no expert but logically that would also happen, I think?
Slightly but not nearly as much as blowing the GPU exhaust directly back up to the GPU.@@SurrealLeaf
Came to say this, Optimum Tech did extensive testing in sandwich style cases and found exhaust worked the best.
That coffee mug is 🔥
Excellent build! Soon as I get my job I'm gonna save up some cash and get this system same specs just in atx. :)
This man is the aesthetic pc build god ! 😍
Sweet setup!
you are an inspiration Matt
Always love ur builds, so clean.
Thank you 😊✌️
This is a whole movie at this point ❤
I guess we’re vibing 😁🖤
Showing AMD some love, I like it!
I love the terra case. If I was building PC right now I would use that case. The little bit of wood + dark theme is so much better than RGB in my opinion. And of course the mini-itx size is also visually pleasing.
What a little beauty!
I like so much your style! Greetings from Greece!!
This is beautiful
Really nice video and super clean build! Bottom fan should be exhaust though😊
Stunning!
Great build ❤
Black coffee + black pc build 🥲 daaaang
It’s a vibe for sure! 🪵☕️🌿
an another masterpiece again.. wow
The outtakes lol
Great video for this week bro!
😂🙌 Thanks bud! Have an awesome week ☕️
@@Mr_Matt_Lee thank you! Likewise 😎
what a cooool build!!!
This is the level of videography that I hope to achieve someday.
yup, this is perfection.
Clean , just clean 👍🏾
Terra never gets old. Loved mine so much I built my wife one.
Itx and matx are becoming the new normal 🙂.. in love with sff builds despite starting from ATX
Nice video and setup man.
I suggest you put something under the mainboard to support it when installing the vga dock. It hurt when see the mainboard’s bended like that 😢
Love your videos!
Love it so clean the only horror pc story i have is in 2011 i bought a prebuilt asus and it had 11 fragile stickers and opened the box and it was broken
Amazing build, can't wait to see your next project!!!
Can i suggest the (Mechanic Master C34 Pro) case for your future project.
Thanks.
Thermals look great but I would love to hear it. I've heard a fair bit about these cases being loud and I'm very curious how noisy this is.
Would love to build a sleeper like this for the living room but if it was loud it would definitely be a deal breaker. Dunno if anybody can comment on this or has a similar setup.
Thanks! Great video. Very relaxing.
The Matt Bat light at the start 👌
This 😅 you have an eye for the details! 🦇
beautiful case
a work of art
Your production value has always been supreme IMO. One nitpick though - since the GPU was mounted vertically on the side, it's actually blowing air OUT against that side and not an intake. :)
YES! Another Terra build, so hyped!
Now a fractal jade build is a must!
Did you see the Terra Jade build I made on the channel last year for its launch? 🌿
One more art from the biggest artist of youtube.
Dam..Matt that looks great :)
One word -> Perfect
Amazing man
You are so talented
Appreciate you 😊 It’s taken many years of filmmaking to get where I am, but it’s a constant learning curve to push new ideas and stories 🎥
Nice build I like it.
so neat!
