    In this video we explore how to create better flow in your videos using Speed Ramping! Speed Ramping in Premiere Pro is a useful skill to be able to do effectively because it can add cohesion to your overall project. By speed ramping up near the end of a clip and ramping down from fast to slow in the following clip can create a pseudo-transition that creates better flow without a distracting or flashy effect.

    • @MotionArrayTutorials
      @MotionArrayTutorials  6 лет назад

      Thank you Sandro! One way to increase speed above 1000 with this method is to do a very basic speed ramp to the highest speed you can, then nest your clip and do additional speed ramp changes. This is not the cleanest / easiest method but it's a quick and simple way to get over the 1000 limit.

    Super nice tutorial clip i’ve seen bro but what confused me abt the clip is that do you film with slow motion before (if you do what frame per second you use ? )

    • @MotionArrayTutorials
      @MotionArrayTutorials  6 лет назад +1

      As far as we understand, either the GH4 or GH5s was used which has variable frame-rate options. These shoot at higher frame-rates but once recording has finished produces a 24fps file to use in editing. The result is a slow motion clip when played at normal speed.

    Goot tutorial ans video, but there's one problem.
    You've exported your video in more than 24p and I'm not talking about about resolution. 24 frames per second, or 23.976 are necessary to create the typical standard film look from a motion standpoint.
    Films are shot in 24p since ages and because basically all our lifes we watched films in 24, we naturally perceive 24p as "filmic". Anything higher smells like tv show, anything lower breaks the motion continuity.
    Because you've exported in more than 24p, perhaps 60p, your ramps are using that extra fps room, going from whatever frame rate you have at 1x (24?), up to the 60pfs limit and back.
    This not only creates what the film producers call the "soap opera" look (mostly because they're shot in 50i or 60i), but also makes your video go up and down throught different data frame rates creating the illusion of inconsistent frame rate.
    The solution is to cap everything to 24p and you can do that simply by exporting in 24p.

    • @MotionArrayTutorials
      @MotionArrayTutorials  6 лет назад

      Hi Alex,
      You are quite accurate in the assessment of these factors. For this project there were a variety of mixed frame-rates between the introduction, B-Roll, Speed-ramping example, and Premiere Pro screencaps. Additionally this was created at a time in which we were testing using higher framerates for different teaching portions of our videos.
