In this video we explore how to create better flow in your videos using Speed Ramping! Speed Ramping in Premiere Pro is a useful skill to be able to do effectively because it can add cohesion to your overall project. By speed ramping up near the end of a clip and ramping down from fast to slow in the following clip can create a pseudo-transition that creates better flow without a distracting or flashy effect.

im so confused that you havent got 100k subs at least. your explanation is one of the best on youtube. clean, clear and straight to the point. thank you for this bro and nice footage. oh another sub you got from me.
Thanks so much for taking the time to say that. It’s greatly appreciated. We hope that we can keep making videos that meet that level of praise. Cheers!

That was lots of good information in such a short video, like a nutrient dense food item. Nicely done.
Thanks so much Jack! We really appreciate it!
That ending video was beautiful
Thanks so much!
Damn, you deserve more subs/views! Very good quality, the way you speak to your audience. Thanks for a good tutorial!

too much whoosh and shit all over youtube. possibly because of the trend spread with this tutorial.
We are not responsible for the trend, even though we would love to have started it 😄 but we agree it seems to be everywhere
I just started to use motion Array and I'm already 🤯 but you ALSO have an amazing YT channel with great tutorials 🤯🤯🤯
Simply awesome tutorial! I loved how you not only showed the video transition, but also how to use the sound effects to blend everything in.

Hi Arnesh! I believe that the S curve is available on all Premiere Pro versions past 2013. But if you have any troubles please feel free to let us know!
@@MotionArrayTutorials I'm having problem getting that marker

Any time! Thanks for watching!
Wow, I think that's the fastest I've ever smashed the "Subscribe" button. I've been trying to learn how to do that for some time now. Looking forward to future content!
Thanks so much Carlos! We're so happy that you found it helpful! We hope our future videos are able to impress you even more!
Why isn't this channel at a million subs yet? This is the best explanation of speed ramp on the Tube.

i DID a VERY Fantastic job HOLDING MY PEE for Hours!! until i watched the first 19 secs of this Video. :D
Haha, oh no! We're sorry we didn't give a water warning before this!
@@MotionArrayTutorials it's Okay, u're Awesome!! Thanks for all the hard work u putting in to give us more videos.
Is there a way to Speed ramp a video along with it's own audio??
Speed ramp changes only the video breaking the sync.
Hi Mohan! You can try nesting and see if that allows you to work with the speed ramping as a unit with audio and video
Nesting doesn't work..🙁 Speed Ramping changes only the video even after nesting..
Thank you for the very clear and well done tutorial! I want to ask you how can I increase the speed after 1000? thank you so much!
Thank you Sandro! One way to increase speed above 1000 with this method is to do a very basic speed ramp to the highest speed you can, then nest your clip and do additional speed ramp changes. This is not the cleanest / easiest method but it's a quick and simple way to get over the 1000 limit.
Great tutorial! For some reason the UI of this feature barely works properly, so frustrating!
Sorry to hear Jorge, thanks for the kind words!
Thank you! This made my forward/reversing motion graphics so much smoother
Wow you guys deserve all the subscribers, amazing video, you have a nice way to talk to the viewers and heck it was very helpful
Thanks so much! So glad to hear you enjoyed it
excuse me I signed up to the monthly subscription and NONE of your templates work on Premiere Pro 2020, everything is supper outdated from 2018! no even 2019! No one is answering me, I am like extremely frustrate.
Best explained than Peter mccinon
Thank you for the high complement Junaid! Cheers!
i'm a premiere noob who used to be a powerdirector user. ramping up the speed on powerdirector is a chore ... this is exactly what i'm looking for. thanks!
Glad it could help!
You are the best Teacher In RUclips Ever I saw.
That’s very kind of you thank you!
motion arraaaaaayyyyy!... excellent upload guys, stay well!(your avid fan and supporter!)
Great tutorial thank you so much
We're so happy you liked it!
You so good at explanation got it clear
Thanks!
Nice explanation... Awful example 😅
You are really really good and I mean it. I'm a big fan of Peter M and giving you this compliment means you're that level of good. Please keep it high and the transparency that I say here which lacks in lots of professional.
Thank you so much for the huge compliment Haruf. We really appreciate it and we will make sure that Jordan gets the message. We will continue to strive for the highest quality in our videos, and we hope we can continue to meet your expectations. Cheers!
Can you please explain "I'm a big fan of Peter M and giving you this compliment....."
Motion Array Tutorials ok let me answer that in a simple way. I'm a follower of many many RUclipsrs, among them Peter is my favourite. I always think his teaching methods are best and easy to understand. You're video is more easily understandable than his ones. I might say it's possibly easiest. Now this is absolutely my opinion and point of view on your video.
right..
McKinnon is a walking advert who has long since abandoned even a hint of quality teaching. Don't be ridiculous.
Thankyou for the tutorial.
Our pleasure! Glad you liked it!
that's funny: i cant download anything from your website, guys
i'm trying to download music from Unlimited Library, but...
"To download this product you need to upgrade to one of our subscription plans."
wat? are you seriously? you just told, that this music is free! wtf?
Such a great tutorial! This is exactly what I have been needing to spice up my projects. Thank you so much Jordan.
Cheers Micah! We're really glad you liked it!

Dear Motion Array Tutorials,
I want to get an explanation on the fact that while having your own version and that is Pr 2017 and selecting a clip and then clicking with the left button in the drop-down menu immediately after the property item I do not get the written show clip keyframe (with all the subfolders or links that follow) would you explain to me why?
What should I enable or install?
Thank you so much and have a nice day
How did you get the “Show Clip Keyframe” and the “Time Remapping” to sho on the right-click menu?
What was the frame rate for your timeline sequence? The movements (when sped up), felt so 60fps-ish. But great video though. Thanks for the input.
Great work!!!! Which camera and lens did you use for these shot? and 120frame?
Hi Vincent, thanks! We will check with Jordan but likely the GH4 at 96fps. Not sure about the lens.
THE CONTROL AND THE CLICK DOESNT WORK WTF THIS FKNG PROGRAM
It is very helpful..
So glad to hear!
This. Video. Is. Gamechanging! Thank you, ive learned very much in a very small time!
Thank you so much! We are so happy to hear you say that.
Super nice tutorial clip i’ve seen bro but what confused me abt the clip is that do you film with slow motion before (if you do what frame per second you use ? )
As far as we understand, either the GH4 or GH5s was used which has variable frame-rate options. These shoot at higher frame-rates but once recording has finished produces a 24fps file to use in editing. The result is a slow motion clip when played at normal speed.
hii thank you so much for that video!!
i just started working with the premmiere pro 2017 the one thing i didnt unerstand is how to draw that liniar line to that flow ilusion..can you explain it for me again please??
which buttens exe. i need to use?
thank you for your help.
my noob bro is trying to teach you how to put a sound in premiere pro .......so enjoy !!
Perfect
Cheers! Thanks!
You guys are always great.
That's very kind of you to say Moradas! Thank you so much!

It's a bit too late, but what camera do you use. The quality is very good.
PS, Thx for the tut, I will definitely watch the rest of your tuts.

You're the best, man. Very well explained. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
Hi there! Yknow how you said that the edited piece of clip will seem shorter at 2:30, well, when I release the speed ramping bar, the clip will totally be deleted instead. Am I doing something wrong? Please help!
Thank Jordan! Enjoyed this tutorial and it's quite timely for the current project I'm working on!
So awesome to hear Danielle! hope your project turns out awesome!!! :D
That was very very helpful!! .. thanks man .. I really like your videos and the way your explain the tutorials .. thanks again and keep it up !

Nice! We're so excited to hear! Thank you!
@@MotionArrayTutorials Welcome :))
But what he doesnt bring to light is that you cannot speed ramp the audio
Hey guys! You still there? Just wanna say THANK YOU :)
What fps did you shot this on?
Boi,that smile.
Haha, cheers! Thanks!
Goot tutorial ans video, but there's one problem.
You've exported your video in more than 24p and I'm not talking about about resolution. 24 frames per second, or 23.976 are necessary to create the typical standard film look from a motion standpoint.
Films are shot in 24p since ages and because basically all our lifes we watched films in 24, we naturally perceive 24p as "filmic". Anything higher smells like tv show, anything lower breaks the motion continuity.
Because you've exported in more than 24p, perhaps 60p, your ramps are using that extra fps room, going from whatever frame rate you have at 1x (24?), up to the 60pfs limit and back.
This not only creates what the film producers call the "soap opera" look (mostly because they're shot in 50i or 60i), but also makes your video go up and down throught different data frame rates creating the illusion of inconsistent frame rate.
The solution is to cap everything to 24p and you can do that simply by exporting in 24p.
Hi Alex,
You are quite accurate in the assessment of these factors. For this project there were a variety of mixed frame-rates between the introduction, B-Roll, Speed-ramping example, and Premiere Pro screencaps. Additionally this was created at a time in which we were testing using higher framerates for different teaching portions of our videos.
What LUT do you use to color grading the example video ?
For this one we actually didn’t use a LUT, it was simply a custom grade. Thanks for asking Noshi
I can't follow the video its too fast and i don't the key that will used. please help me. i think this video will help he a lot. thank you very much.
whats the transition at 1:01
It's called a zoom blur, and we've done a tutorial on that effect here:

Superb tutorial. Direct to the point it helps me a lot man. Keep it up. You deserve more subs. Thankyou from Philippines
Thank you so much Marc! That’s very kind of you to say!
Great video! Nothing but great value here my guy 🔥
Cheers! Thanks so much!
it just moves the keyframes around anyway and they don't stay in the same place in the clip and i have to constantly move them back
another thing that loves to happen is my clip disappearing alltogether in the preview whenever i do it
Thank you so so much for a very imformative video. This is the best tutorial I've seen on RUclips! I will definately Subscribe to your channel and look forward to learning from you. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much! That's very kind of you!
How do you create a scoreboard template of Premier Pro for basketball
The audio helps thanks 🙏🏼
Hi Jordan could I hire you online through zoom at your hourly rate to help me setup adobe premiere properly ?

You're welcome! 😄
Straight into the point love yoh bro you deserve more sub❤😘
wow this is dope!! def gonna apply this to my next video
So happy to hear Daniela!
Why isn’t my premiere showing the lines that your premiere shows? It is very difficult to use and I am having a hard time. Please help.
It’s possible that your layer isn’t wide /tall enough to show the lines. Either double click on the left edge or hold alt or option and scroll to make it larger

Rly cool website but way to expensive sadly!
Sorry to hear that. If you ever need it, they do have a free section that you can take from without needing payment details. But regardless, thank you so much for taking the time to watch :D
It's a really helpful video ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks! So glad you liked it!
You gained another sub!!! 🔥🔥
noticed some optical flow on the water. must of been different speed right?
One of the water clips might have been a motion graphic instead of actual footage, that could possibly be it as well depending on which one you're referring to 😀
Pretty straight forward crystal clear tutorial...awesome.
Thanks so much!
Lovely stuff, you made speed ramping easier than all the other videos I have watched
So glad to hear!!! Thanks!
