If I remember correctly Fable has secundary missions where you become miniature, it doesn't surprise me. Also you can enter in strangers kind of worlds
Yes it did, but it's not a common thing for people to be miniature, in fact, there was one side quest in all the fable games that had you go miniature. This isn't fable. Fable is whacky for sure, but miniature people isn't exactly a thing in fable, only for one side quest...
I loved fable 3 one of my childhood games right there I’m eager to see if 4 is like 30 years later cause I would like to see what has happened since the revolution and the battle with the darkness
A couple corrections here. I don't know anyone at all who has ever played Fable Journey and I certainly would be hard-pressed to consider it a part of the series. That being said, Fable 3 was the low point of Fable. The game fell short on every expectation that was made during its build up besides graphics and combat. Many of us still played it and enjoyed it for what it was, but any fan of the series knew that this was the low point. Fable 2 was the absolute best Fable game and you hardly even touched on it and why it was so incredible. Also, this trailer wasn't the first thing we have heard since Fable Journey or whatever, the game, Fable 4, was revieled back in 2020 along with a bunch of other Xbox Game Pass exclusives. This was as the the same time that the new Xbox Series S/X consoles were being released, and why I personally bought a Series X, thinking it would come out within the year or so, only to find out that it had years of development left.
Maybe the female MC isn't designed to be ugly, but rather is ugly cuz that version has been drinking and partying (ie corrupting themselves and getting uglier like in Fable 2) and if she eats healthy and does good things then she'll look closer to her face model. Or something. I mean cmon Fable is renowned for its character morphing and yall are freaking out?
Fable has always relied on story, which has been a hot button issue in AAA games for a while. If when it comes out, the game has a 4 hour story and cookie cutter side quests, then the game will disappoint a majority of its fanbase.
As long as they have the humour, the combined sword/gun/magic combat, your core attributes to level up with character morphing, then I think this will hit the mark for me. I’m honestly so excited to see where this goes and trying my hardest to not fall into that “old fan” pitfall.
I think this new Fable works as an "interquel". Dave the giant saying "the ages of heroes is over" makes me think this game takes place MAAANY years after Fable: The Lost Chapters (Fable 1 expansion) because we know the Guild of Heroes goes bye bye after that game, and in Fable 2 the Guild doesn't exist anymore, so seeing the hero being bullied by the crowd makes sense. The citizens burned the Guild and killed most of the heroes, that's why they react that way with the new hero, heroes have to be rare now. I hope it's connected, I feel like there's so much lore, has to be Fable 1.5
Oh man this is a great take!! It makes so much sense now!! If it goes down like Fable 1.5 that would be so awesome. Thanks for commenting this dude, and thanks for checking out the video too!!
Considering the fact that guns don't seem to exist in this "reboot" it's more likely a Fable 1.5 in terms of narrative, as I've always thought ever since I saw the trailer.
Man, this guy has no clue what he’s talking about. You hit a certain age and you quit playing games I’m 35 and I still game. fable 1 2 and three were epic. I’m looking forward to this game.
They were really good! Dave has always enjoyed the series. We're excited for this one to drop. It honestly looks really fun. Thanks for checking out the video too!
i really hope that fable 4 is set in between fable 1 and 2 during the "golden era of the heros guild." mainly because from what i understand its going to be mmo like, thats part of the main reason playground games is taking the helm, but i am concerned with that they are just using the name, because its a standing microsoft Ip.
That would be a sick setting indeed! We don't think it's going to a MMO, but hopefully some multiplayer is included. Thanks for checkin out the video too!
The time period between 1 and 2 is far from the "golden era of the heros guild" people literally burned the Hero's Guild prior to 2 which explains why we don't meet many heroes, the true golden era would be before and around the same time as 1.
@deepflare1028 if you read the lore books in fable 2 after the hero of Oakdale save Albion there was a flood of heroes thus ushering the guild into a golden age, and the heroes became complacent and demanding, cause the golden age to pass quickly, and turning the commoners to revolt against the heros guild burning it to the ground, leaving only the camber of fate.
@LetsTalkNerdyPodcast yeah I don't think I will be an mmo, but I believe you have charters like in forza Horizon and skate 3. where your friends appear in your world, acting like they're the real life counter parts, which is the main reason I believe playground was give the helm because they are using a modified horizon engine for the game.
We're actually super excited for this one! 1-3 were definitely awesome, so fingers crossed they can make this one a lot of fun too! Thanks for checking out the video!!
Aw man this definitely isn't what we want to hear. Sorry you didn't love this one. We were trying to focus mostly on the upcoming game so you're correct our recap of the first few was brief. Thanks so much for checking out the video though and we hope you give some of our other content a shot!
Fable 3 dropped in 2010 and would say that it was the definitive low point for thr series. So many promises still made and undelivered, and after having that happen for the 3rd time, there was no more faith. Everything after that was just a further spit in the face. Also, fable 2 wasn't GOTY in 2008. Though it was quite good.
Aw man sorry you didn't like this one. Thanks so much for checking out the video though. We really appreciate it and hopefully you give some of our other content a shot!
As annold school liberal I resented the fear-mongering used to force me to make regressive, and often repressive, decisions. I did love the sandwiches,(Sand Furies?) though!
Aw man sorry you didn't like this one. Thanks so much for checking out the video though. We really appreciate it and hopefully you give some of our other content a shot!
Lots of people are excited for a revamp, ourselves included! It's been so long since Fable 3. Just having a new installment to play is super exciting! Thanks for checking out the video!!

By catering to a new audience do you mean tons of emotes and twerking. . . Fortnite meets rpg, if that's the case I'll have to give up on this franchise altogether.
If they bring They/Them BS into it like they did Forza they will have officially ruined my all time favorite game. Developers need to stay out of politically motivated narratives. I wish they'd bring Lionshead back for this reboot
Nah, Lion Head had their shot. They did great the first time, pretty good the second time, squandered it thr 3rd time and everything else after that was oute disappointment. Peter Molyneux tried to do too much but couldn't deliver. A title like this could be handled much more effectively under proper guidance
As a veteran player of these games, can I ask why pronouns are a deal breaker? My worries are about whether this new game will have the same soul as the original from Lionhead. Fable has always been about being whoever the fuck you want to be.
That's my main concern about this game, how are they gonna do complex moral choices or even black n white choices, in this modern age where nobody wants to be shamed, and everyone wants included? You could present them with a clearly good and clearly evil decision and they'll be arguing that it's not fair to call that evil. Like how drinking alcohol and eating pies would "corrupt" you in Fable 2. Today's plebs would proclaim the dev's as bigots and say alcohol isn't that bad. Its not "corrupting" and why are you fat shaming? Or some such shit
@@Coreisus Yeah, that's true. Funny thing is I remember a review of Fable 2 made by a woman adressing the morphing system, in a bad way as most critics do to get clicks.
As long as it's set in the old kingdom, it'll be a great game
Agreed! We're super excited for this one. It's been too long since Fable 3. Thanks so much for checking out the video too!
If I remember correctly Fable has secundary missions where you become miniature, it doesn't surprise me. Also you can enter in strangers kind of worlds

The people complaining aren't people that have played the OG games, plain and simple.
Fable has always relied on story, which has been a hot button issue in AAA games for a while. If when it comes out, the game has a 4 hour story and cookie cutter side quests, then the game will disappoint a majority of its fanbase.
Agreed dude. This one needs to have a banger story. But it's looking promising so far! Thanks for checking out the video!!
Also fable 3 was released in 2010
Oh dang yes it was released in 2010. Thanks for the info!

Mm no, the new Fable is not confirmed to be an mmo but I do think it's going to have this multiplayer features like Fable 2, maybe like Forza Horizon.

Y’all forgot about Fable Legends, watch some trailers and game play; it was ahead of its time and so iconic, but was cancelled :(

Hang on, there were not gauntlets in that trailor, so its not after fable 3 id think.
You can't say you're a gamer and also say you've never played a Fable game?

Fable iii came out in 2010 not 2016, we probably won’t get fable iii till 2026 at this rate
Thanks for the correction! But hopefully it isnt that far away because we are excited for it!
what about fable 2 and fable 3
We did touch on them very, very briefly. Maybe we could revisit the whole series though before this one drops!! Thanks for checking out the video!!
I hoop a start over i like it

Fable was the creator of emotes. You can dance in game. Emotes were a big part of the first game
