Right now I am friends with my ex-boyfriend and have no romantic feelings for him anymore because it has been almost 10 years since we have been together. I would not mind at all, and would encourage him to date one of my girlfriends. Life is too short to let something like a girl code get in the way of true love. If my friend was genuine and honest with me about her feelings for my ex-boyfriend, why not let them be together? He is not my property, and I have moved on. In addition, my friend's happiness is more important than my ego. Personally I feel like it depends on the situation. If it's like a situation with Adrienne and I was crying over the guy to her and she was my "friend" through the break up etc and all of a sudden a week later they're together then yea that'd be a problem. There are a lot of factors that play into the situation. If it was someone your friend went out with for a month or two, it was a clean departing, then a year later you run into the guy at the market and start chatting... as long as you run it by your friend and your friend genuinly seems okay (not just says it's okay, but clearly means it) then why not. Your friend may even be in a more serious relationship at that point. I actually have an ex that I think would be a good match for one of my friends, but I am not comfortable playing match maker. If it is something that would hurt your friend, I can't imagine God is stamping his approval on it. I really don't believe a loving God would want you to hurt your friend.

There are a lot of factors that play into the situation. If it was someone your friend went out with for a month or two, it was a clean departing, then a year later you run into the guy at the market and start chatting... as long as you run it by your friend and your friend genuinly seems okay (not just says it's okay, but clearly means it) then why not. Your friend may even be in a more serious relationship at that point. I actually have an ex that I think would be a good match for one of my friends, but I am not comfortable playing match maker.
