Kay A In terms of dating itself, the act of getting married itself is the exception and not the rule so 🤷🏽♂️ Id say it depends on how the relationship ended and if the ex and ex’s friend communicate about it.
Don't ever date a friend's ex, its too complicated, and it makes you wonder what type of man or woman would do that and what type of friend they are anyway.
It ain't complicated if there are grown ass adults Involved, what don't work for one may be perfect for the other, people need to stop cockblocking other grown folks happiness, if u done, they should be able to date big bird for all u care, U 2, are done.
I don't understand why you all keep sleeping with men before they marry you. Stop that. Have some respect for yourself. Don't let the men make you body like a playground.
Celisar1 yeah, I own my body that’s why I will treat it with care and respect. But if I want to have sex with my trusted partner I will, because it’s my body and my decision. And even if I get married, I have every choice and every rights to refuse to have sex with my partner.
This is like I'm talking to a girl and she asks for advice. She doesn't want my answer, she just wants someone that agrees with the decision that she already made before she asked.
I'm not judging her but that's just not a good look to be intimate with a guy that an ex partner is friends with, as a woman, our reputation is easily tarnished and that is just not a smart thing to do. Lady, find a discreet man, form a relationship with him but don't get involved in a mess like that.
Sometimes it works out. One of my aunts married a man who dated her sister in high school ( and I'm pretty sure they were intimate). They were married for about 30 years until his death. Personally, I wouldn't do it but whatever works for folks.
Artsyblack That's completely different though; I would hardly consider any high school relationship serious. Also, women are rarely pass a man around for sex purposes, men do. Steve is trying to protect her from that. ps....I just realized how old this reply was lol
Sitcoms always mention the "Guy Code". I'm surprised she never heard of it. Sadly, what Steve said is also true. That's the other side of the "Guy Code".
True guys talk if he wants to date you he most likely told his friend (your ex) about it and your ex probably agreed to it and boy are they gonna have some stories to tell
I'm in a similar boat. My ex's best friends father just passed away and I reached out to help(mentally, spiritually, emotionally, positively, etc..) with this Chapter of life without his father. I've felt this strong energy guiding our reunion and it's felt strong and pure. I just don't want to be a crutch or emotional distraction through this time of loss. I knew his father also and suffer the same medical health problems his father just passed from. So, I feel like there's a higher power holding him and I closely for a reason. My ex lives in another country and they don't communicate much anymore anyway. I just don't know how to let this energy flow without over thinking about it. Or if someone else might get hurt in the process. All I do know is I like what's happening and hope his father in heaven has some guidance over this relationship we're building so it's of blessed life and future. I'm grateful to have our friendship back but so hury his father passed. I hope my disease doesn't take me from him too. I couldn't bare him hurting more. Pray for me pls. XO
Nothing wrong with dating and ex's friend. It's not like you were owned when you were in a relationship with your significant other prior to the breakup.
Steve is absolutely right, and what's unfortunate is no matter how many books he writed, and no matter how he tries to school these women, they just don't get it!
I must say, she kinda, cute and beautiful but... she needs to watch out before all that "fabulous" turn in to Hell. Just saying. Like Steve said, have a nice time with the guy.
I would date an ex's friend. The way I see it,if the relationship is over on both sides, they're fair game. If you feel betrayed because your friend is with your ex and they got together after your breakup, the problem is you
My brother asked me for advice if it is ok to date his bf's ex. I said helll no unless he does not care about his friendship. Now they do not talk anymore. smh there are more than 7 billions people and u gotta pick your bf's ex? lmao
Really your ex's friend??? as if there weren't men out there. That's cheap. Your ex would have an even better reason why he's not with you silly woman.
I'm in this situation where a guy liked me in late middle school. I was too young at the time and really wasn't interested in boys. Fast forward to high-school, a peer I became friends with in a sense claimed him and put him off limits to all. In our late teens, he shot his shot again but I declined due to "girl code". My question is, is it "girl code" if he was interested in you first? Before someone "claimed him". They eventually had a baby and to add a twist to this I was intimate with one of his best friends. 25 years later he's pursuing me again and wants to tell his friend. As far as my peer who became my friend, idk if the friendship was real or if we were simply schoolmates because after high school we had a handful of encounters before we fell off. What's your advice on a situation like this.
Im thinking about that right now.I have been dating this guy for a minute and we not in a relationship he talks to other females. And his friend and I really hit it off...Im single why not ???
Wonder how she would feel if the ex dated a friend of hers? Especially if they are still friends. It'd make you wonder if anything was going on while you and the ex were together.
who cares? it is not her friend. the friend of the ex man is the one with a potential moral obligation to his friend not to date his ex. after she and ex broke up, she has no further moral or other obligation to him. let her date. who cares if the men talk about how fabulous she is? she was not cheating on her ex at the time and they broke up. hopefully the friend is cuter, taller, or richer etc
Why did she ask the question if she was just going to do what she wanted to do anyway? I hate when people do that but I've figured out why it happens. People ask for advice hoping that you tell them something to agree with what's already in their head. So then if you don't, whether it's good advice or not they do what they want. #smh
Damn, "I am kida fabulolus" best line ever.
Christopher Reilly it’s code for I’m a slut 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Great answer lol
One of my friends dated her ex's friend, they got married, have 2 children together and are still together after 15 years...
bettybundgaard She was the exception not the rule. These things can happen but are rare.
Oh my God 😂
Kay A In terms of dating itself, the act of getting married itself is the exception and not the rule so 🤷🏽♂️ Id say it depends on how the relationship ended and if the ex and ex’s friend communicate about it.
That's sad
When a person sacrifices their friendship for the friend’s ex best believe they are going to try hard as hell for the relationship to wprk

How,if the relationship is over on both sides before any coupling happens?

But this is the ex’s friend
I don't understand why you all keep sleeping with men before they marry you. Stop that. Have some respect for yourself. Don't let the men make you body like a playground.
You are making a huge thinking- mistake here: women are sexual beings just as men. They too enjoy and want sex.
Celisar1 yeah, I own my body that’s why I will treat it with care and respect. But if I want to have sex with my trusted partner I will, because it’s my body and my decision. And even if I get married, I have every choice and every rights to refuse to have sex with my partner.

And that of course never happens with guys asking guys, hm? :)
Celisar1 true it happens with guys but very rarely
dj oldskool
In my personal experience that is exactly the same with guys.
Seth Freeman most women in a nutshell, you hit the nail on the head right there
