I don't think or cant ever see there ever being a more beautiful or majestic plane than the 747. There are a great variety of aircraft in this world but I guess because of her age, perhaps her track record or whatever else it may be but the 747 is somehow the ambassador of the world of aviation. Her image is so iconic. Its impossible not to notice her presence. Even people that know absolutely nothing about aircraft can identify the 747. Its like a ceremony for royalty when she arrives or leaves.
I chose a Caribbean cruise just because it had St. Marten on the venue and immediately hopped on an island tour that made a bee line there. It really is a cool experience. There is a bar there with really horribly rude amazon women bartenders.. did I say rude and horrible? But it was fun watching the planes. There was a chalk board with a number of the flight times for airlines leaving that morning. And then we continued to see the French side of the island which was very depressing and damaged and this was before that big hurricane slammed the island several years ago. The Dutch side was happy and vibrant but the tour guide told us the French government didn't do much to help their side of the island from the previous hurricane. I wonder how it looks now after that really bad on a few years ago. In spite of all of the above I would return to St. Marten and probably during the winter which is when all the super yachts are packed in the harbor. There is no telling who you might run into. Nearby St. Thomas was cleaner and nicer but St. Marten is more exotic and fascinating and many cruises do both.
There is one site where the legend tells u the type of plan, even the flight number. Yup 747 still the Queen but the blue KLM reminds me of the horrific 2 plane collision on Tenerife !
Found it :) Tail # N221HJ is a Dassault Falcon 7X (tri-star). Look at those THIN wings! No liquid fuel. The AIR/GAS drives the Compressorengines/ jet/ Turbine. They have to be strong to carry the Body and there are all flap mechanics and landinggear compartments and hydraulics. Yes we have been LIED to. That's why AIR-PORTs can afford so much personel on th3 Ground. You PAY. No HOT exhaust. Just Wind. Watch the people having a blast. Same thing in Skiathos AIR-PORT in Greece.
Wonderful! And no bloody background music! Genuine enthusiast, clearly.
I honestly could watch that All day long!!!!

Agree with you
The B747 is the best plane ever built
She is and always will be the "Queen of the Skies" without a doubt.
Totally agree!! I was a flight attendant many years and the 747 was absolutely the queen of airplanes ✈️
Greatest aeroplane in the air, it's a tragedy that it disappears.
747-400....the sound of the GE engines!👌👌👌😍
Those 747s are beasts.......
Yes, sexy beasts!
if I would go to that beach to have the airplanes fly that low over me I would never want to go to the beach again
Wow that KLM 747 taking off there was beautiful.
I looks like it's been ridden hard, and put away wet.

Bravo on the camera work !!
Amazing! People travel from all over the world to St. Maarten to experience this.

It's hilarious to see a 747 and a STOL island hopper share the same runway.
Nothing like a 747 taking off...
Still da Queen!
no, Concorde was the queen and A380 the king

Ahhh! The good old days!
Omg !! such a big jet looks tiny in front of the mountains, as it touches down.
Excellent editing of a fascinating subject.
Noticed heavies (747, A340..) taxi on a runway instead of a taxiway. Nice videos!

Its incredable to see that steep climb. Thanks for showing, is St Marten an expensive place to have a holiday.??
Thank you, it cost me about $ 3000 incl. flight, apartment for 14 days.
Thanks for reply, that must of been hotel full bored. So the highlight of St Marten is to see the planes landing??
I still like the KLM 747 a lot.
They'll probably stop flying though, because of Corvid-19.
ik woon vlakbij Sint Maarten, maar dan wel in west fryslán.
So cool!
My hometown

747: The Beast!
End of an era. Very sad..
I really want to go would you recommend it
0:41 I thought that B-747 was Air Force One for a few seconds. As soon as I saw the logo clearly I realized it was Air Force One at all. Haha haha!!
KLM all the way. One of the oldest airlines in the world. Over 100 years old!
The Jumbos are sexy beasts!
Soon be no 747's as KLM ae retiring them by 202. Good video though

Troll ...
And klm
Nothing amazing about this. Dozens of planes land and take off at SXM every day. Please stop using this stupid catchphrase "amazing".
pina
It seems there is nothing to do on this island apart from plane spot.
What's wrong with just chillin' with a cold one on the beach? You got one life...live it!
Espectacular muy bueno felicitaciones.
