The relationship is still not exactly like before, have to work on it a lot. One point is that even after she decided to leave, she still responded to me now and then. I'd suggest, be consistent and true with your words and actions. Never take her feelings for granted because one more fuck up will make it even worse. It's easy to get caught up in not wanting to lose someone, that you can put a lot of effort into trying to get someone back who was never right for you in the first place. I've been in this situation, and it always seems to be worse for me when they end things. It helps me a lot to take some time, reflect, breath, calm down, talk to friends and my therapist, and journal about what went wrong/right. Many times I've done this, and realized in the process this person was never right for me to begin with. Just a tip as a woman, the real issue with someone pleading/begging/groveling, is that it's insincere. I don't think is changing for ex girlfriend. At least from my perspective. We have split up because I literally was not myself. She said I have built a wall around me, and I didn't even speak to her like we used to. I stopped to support her and she was always there for me no matter what. I focused in work and career when she never cared about money. We started together with nothing, but we had each other. I got depression and anxiety from work which gave me literally nothing. And as a result I lost her. And to do that I literally have to regain myself back, and become the person I used to be. I am going through some really rough times now. I feel worst even then when I lost father as a teenage boy. She is the best person I met my entire life. Smart, loyal, supportive, happy and humble. It breaks my heart that because of me of who I became she stopped laughing, locked herself up and she said she feels empty and need space. Regardless of that she still showed a lot of care about me before she moved out. She never let me down, we never cheated on each other, I never even considered any other woman. I feel lost and detached from myself. I look in the mirror and ask myself a question :"who am I" and honestly I hate myself. I pray for God to give me a strength as there is big war in from of me and it's against myself.

My girl of 5 almost 6 years found flirtatious messages from a couple months back in my phone, I was in a very dark place mentally at the time and was hiding many emotions from her because I felt like I couldn't talk about them. I am going through this pain of getting separated after 22yrs of marriage. I didn't listen to her but when it hit the fan I really broke down and cried. @@WolfordWise Update: It was a struggle tbh, but I’ve allowed the struggle to help refine my character and now life is much better! don’t get me wrong I think about her and miss her but I’ve applied what Stephen shared in this video and over time accompanied with healthy healing I came to a realisation that she wasn’t the best fit for me anyways. I honestly believe that God helped me dodge a bullet that could’ve wounded me even greater than before. I’ve adopted a stoic mindset, I’m able to better control and regulate my stress and emotions in healthier ways, I’m stronger and look much better physically because I hit the gym 4-5x a week and stopped eating crappy foods most of the time than I did before, I pray and almost read my scriptures everyday meaning my relationship with God is much stronger (he really helped me heal!!) and I put myself out there more in uncomfortable situations and from this I’ve gained more friends and strengthened relationships that were already there and now I’m making more money and have a decent amount of savings it’s only up from here !

With the snap of the finger, she requested a break and dumped me after one week. If she moved on so fast in your case, it doesn't look like there was anything you could do in reality.

One point is that even after she decided to leave, she still responded to me now and then. I'd suggest, be consistent and true with your words and actions. Never take her feelings for granted because one more fuck up will make it even worse.

I don't think is changing for ex girlfriend. At least from my perspective. We have split up because I literally was not myself. She said I have built a wall around me, and I didn't even speak to her like we used to. I stopped to support her and she was always there for me no matter what. I focused in work and career when she never cared about money. We started together with nothing, but we had each other. I got depression and anxiety from work which gave me literally nothing. And as a result I lost her.
And to do that I literally have to regain myself back, and become the person I used to be.
I am going through some really rough times now.
I feel worst even then when I lost father as a teenage boy.
She is the best person I met my entire life. Smart, loyal, supportive, happy and humble.
It breaks my heart that because of me of who I became she stopped laughing, locked herself up and she said she feels empty and need space. Regardless of that she still showed a lot of care about me before she moved out.
She never let me down, we never cheated on each other, I never even considered any other woman.
I feel lost and detached from myself. I look in the mirror and ask myself a question :"who am I" and honestly I hate myself.
I pray for God to give me a strength as there is big war in from of me and it's against myself.

My girl of 5 almost 6 years found flirtatious messages from a couple months back in my phone, I was in a very dark place mentally at the time and was hiding many emotions from her because I felt like I couldn't talk about them. I never have done anything physical with anyone else besides my girlfriend for 6 years and we have been managing long distance for a little over half of it due to college, and what you say is exactly how she says she is feeling after finding out. I lost myself at that time and before she found the messages we were sailing almost the smoothest we've ever sailed, we had even talked about my worries because she brought up two things I was most scared to talk to her about, meeting her parents and me leading the charge more often (I desperately wanted to talk about both of these things for the entire relationship but nothing seemed to change for the better until this summer and after I had already stopped flirting with the other girl because I knew what I did was wrong and my heart does not lie with her). I want for nothing more than to bring her emotional safety again and I am confident she is the woman for me. I have evolved so much since being with her and I love watching both of us overcome the many obstacles in life. She is everything I ask for in a woman and more, and I was everything she asked for in a man until I broke that trust. Honestly this video does hit hard… I just experienced a break up not too long ago because I made a mistake of getting emotionally attached to someone else… it was hurting both of us at first but it became to where now we are just friends and we still hang out but we both feel torn up about it. When I came across this video it helped me reflect and realize the flaws of the relationship (mainly through finances). After sometime I noticed in her heart that she wants it to work but she’s still anxious. I’m giving her time because I believe God put us on our journey to better ourselves first before we get back together potentially, some days I still do beat my self up about it but I’m getting better to where I’m taking care of stuff for school , work and life in general and health wise personally too.. hopefully we can make it through but I’m a strong believer🙏🏾

I needed to hear this and already started regrouping and doing a lot of the things mentioned. It's hard when you loose the woman you love and it's your fault, and even harder when she's so hurt she forces herself into a new relationship to get over the pain and ends up having some feelings for this new man also. All I can say from my scenario is be confident and have trust in the bond and love you share. I've myself have struggled mightily and had many sleepless nights. But I know my worth and I know our love is real. I have faith God has a plan and everything will work the way it should in the end. Hold your head up guys. I am going through this pain of getting separated after 22yrs of marriage. I didn't listen to her but when it hit the fan I really broke down and cried. @@WolfordWise Update: It was a struggle tbh, but I’ve allowed the struggle to help refine my character and now life is much better! don’t get me wrong I think about her and miss her but I’ve applied what Stephen shared in this video and over time accompanied with healthy healing I came to a realisation that she wasn’t the best fit for me anyways. I honestly believe that God helped me dodge a bullet that could’ve wounded me even greater than before. I’ve adopted a stoic mindset, I’m able to better control and regulate my stress and emotions in healthier ways, I’m stronger and look much better physically because I hit the gym 4-5x a week and stopped eating crappy foods most of the time than I did before, I pray and almost read my scriptures everyday meaning my relationship with God is much stronger (he really helped me heal!!) and I put myself out there more in uncomfortable situations and from this I’ve gained more friends and strengthened relationships that were already there and now I’m making more money and have a decent amount of savings it’s only up from here !
I love this understanding and communication is so important. I believe in second chances after some time. But he is so right. Because the lack of these things what keep me single.

I'm in a place where I pushed her away, but I've been burnt badly and I'm scared of commitment.
I'm OK to give her space and not harass her as I really do believe I need to heal my own past.
Maybe she can't be a part of that process and all I can do is apologise and try to resolve this issue over time.

@@ana-pq3cs I didn't mean to come off judging, I was focusing on how alot of woman need to distinguish between a mature man compared to one with a boys mentality. The thing is a real man won't ever treat her like an object but if the woman allows herself to be vulnerable because of self esteem issues that's when these "boys" will destroy her heart further.

I lost who I know is the women I need in my life. We’ve known each other since elementary school. She is now in college and I am working full time. We were about to go on our 3 year anniversary and now this. I lost her to a decision i could’ve avoided since the beginning. I messed up so bad. Last night was the first night I slept without her in so long. I love her so much but she doesn’t trust me anymore and doesn’t believe a word I say anymore. We are still trying to figure this out but all I want to say is thank you. Your words speak to me on who I need to grow to be. She was right for me. I took advantage. She was honest with me. I was a liar who messed up everything with her. I know I’m also young (20) and she is (19) but she was real. She showed me how to grow. Now I have to do it on my own.
You are so right about all these! I messed up with a lot of these haha. but i also ignored sooo many of her red flags & after she broke up with me, she jumped into another relationship. Even tho i’m hurting, she just wasn’t the right person for me, way too insecure, deceitful, & selfish. I also failed at listening to her & caring about her feelings. It’s crazy how i still want her back but I must stay focused on bettering myself & letting go.

It's always difficult to let go of someone you love, I was in a similar situation my wife for 12yesrs left me, I couldn't just let her go, I did all I could to get her back, I had to see the help of a spiritual adviser who helped me bring her back

@@daligang1359 if she really cared about you, she would still be with you! it’s better to just cut ties completely. Having that communication still while they are in another relationship, is only harming you.

Im currently on the outside of losing the love of my life. These past few months have been a war of almost falling into a depression, numbness, and just wanting to understand.
