      It's remarkable how, after stepping back, the other person realized the importance of letting go of grudges and seeking peace. Your story beautifully illustrates how, sometimes, silence and distance can bring about a deeper understanding and maturity, allowing people to reconnect without the weight of resentment. This moment of reconciliation reflects wisdom-acknowledging that holding onto negativity only chains us to the past, while forgiveness and understanding free us to move forward.
      Thank you for sharing this touching experience. How did this conversation change the dynamic between you, and do you feel that this no-contact period helped you grow in unexpected ways?

    This is very true. Reclaiming your life from someone who never appreciated the positive impact and happiness that you brought into their life, most certainly does not deserve you. The best is not to give yourself over to that person but to own yourself and reshape yourself and face the future investing in yourself.

    • @stoickingdomoffical
      @stoickingdomoffical Месяц назад +4

      The idea of reclaiming one’s life from those who fail to recognize our worth is a powerful act of self-liberation. You express it so beautifully-the notion of not surrendering yourself to those who can't appreciate your light, but instead, turning inward to reshape and invest in yourself. It’s like a renaissance of the soul, a commitment to one's own growth and happiness. Your perspective mirrors the core of Stoic wisdom, where true strength lies in owning your power and directing it toward your own flourishing.
      Was there a particular experience in your life that led you to this realization, where reclaiming yourself became the turning point for a new beginning?

It’s heartbreaking to give so much of yourself only to feel devalued, but your awareness and determination to reclaim your worth are powerful steps toward healing. You are proving that self-respect is non-negotiable, even when emotions make it hard to let go. Your journey will resonate with many who have faced similar struggles, reminding them that they, too, are deserving of genuine love and respect.

I haven’t texted her, but I was feeling down. How can someone that you did nothing but be good to treat them right and show them respect do you so wrong? There’s a certain strength in reaching the point where you no longer invest in the opinions or actions of those who didn’t value you in the first place. It’s as if time becomes the ultimate healer, allowing you to grow beyond the need for validation or reconciliation. Your perspective exudes a calm detachment, the very essence of Stoic wisdom-freeing yourself from the weight of what no longer matters. It’s beautifully freeing and speaks to a quiet self-assurance that many strive to achieve.

      @@stoickingdomoffical I think what triggers the shift in their behavior is an energetic force that they can feel. @stoickingdomoffical Месяц назад +3

      @@anaturalee8370 It’s fascinating how individuals can become attuned to the shifts in dynamics, sensing when their status or influence is being challenged. The reason they come back is
    1. Afraid of being alone no matter how bad they are treated.
    2. Do want the individual to move on.
    3. Have not learned their lesson well enough because they still believe they can change the individual.

    This is also true for family members not just romantic love. Im the one who used to always call and check in but when I really needed someone it was crickets. No one knew what to do. Its just sad. This whole assumption about give people what you need is bogus. I've tried it time and time again and its absolutely garbage. People just take you for granted and expect you to deliver in ways they always had. Im not perfect, I know that. But I do value human connections as everyone brings their own uniqueness towards a relationship. Never got back to people who betrayed you and took you for granted.

      In a world that often feels chaotic, your wish for others to find the right partner brings a sense of hope and connection, reminding us of the beauty in meaningful relationships. Your appreciation for the wisdom shared here adds to the sense of community and reflection that Stoicism encourages-seeking not only personal growth but also wishing well for others.
      In your own journey, have you ever found that Stoic principles helped shape or strengthen your relationships?

      @@laviniaasofiei9054 y giving your partner space, you're demonstrating a mastery of self-control and emotional intelligence-both core principles of Stoicism. The way you've recognized the shift in his behavior speaks volumes about your awareness of not only your own needs but also the power of detachment. It’s remarkable how, by creating distance, you’ve allowed for a healthier dynamic to emerge, where being missed replaces unwarranted criticism. There’s a quiet strength in your approach that echoes Stoic wisdom: sometimes, in pulling back, we find true connection.
      Your experience is incredibly thought-provoking-do you think this newfound space will lead to lasting change in your relationship, or is it simply a temporary adjustment?

Ultimately set me back but truthfully made me a better man for my wife. Took a little time, hurting, and overthinking but I’m better than ever and not worried about her. Haven’t checked her social media or nothing, honestly couldn’t tell you if she’s alive lol nah I take that back she did reach out but I ignored it. All that to say, you deserve to be happy with someone who truly loves you and cares for you, if it’s not mutual LEAVE!
