As far as the big fella being in the lane, he sets up on the block which is outside delaying when he gets the ball he goes into the lane which means you cannot call three seconds because he has the ball in his hands so this three second garbage is nothing but garbage
A lot of people do not know the College Basketball 3 Sec Rule. Refs are down there watching everything. They love to call things they see. It’s not there…so we hear no whistles.
@@chrisbeehler6637 EXACTLY, most people don't realize that. His body can be in the lane, but he's so big that he can play the dancing game and never really leave the lane
Free throw differences are explainable. For example in the TN PURDUE game 1) possessions in basketball are about equal... However 2) TN took 9 more shots than Purdue--- NINE MORE 3) Purdue had a +7 OFFENSIVE REBOUND edge--- that is an opportunity for 7 more shots 4) SUM both-- +16 shots for TN vs Purdue .... why so many more shots for TN? Answer-- TN fouled during or before Purdue could shoot from the field-- sending them to the line a lot more-- especially EDY Summary-- if TN didn't foul Purdue would have had 16 more shots -- hit 40% of those -- they still win --
Lost to double digit in sweet 16. If they lose in Final 4 is it really that big a deal? I mean that 11 seed has beaten a lot of higher seeds already. So much stupid in all this seed talk.
Been saying it for 2yrs, the 3 second violation is the new travelling, its not called. Does Edey get physical ya, but he is treated far more physically. Want to go missed for missed call edey vs the other bigs, and they are getting away with 3-5 fouls for every 1 he does.
@@povertyspec9651 antwright debunked the 3 second thing mo's ago. it's only low iq casuals that still think he lives in the paint. People that still think the NBA is the epitome of basketball
The last 3 second call I saw was against Zach Edey believe it or not. During a regular season game this year. It might have been against Mich.St., go figure with Izzo in the refs ear all game long.
Those who complain about a 3 second call but do not complain about the constant and obvious carrying of the ball and pushing off when dribbling should really just stfu.
People say that Edey and Purdue are going to choke against N.C. State and Connecticut Everybody is going to doubt them period. Can Edey hit regular jump shots? If he can hit jump shots or make baskets in the clutch.Purdue is going to win the national championship there is no doubt about it.Alabama,N.C. State, and Connecticut better watch out because Purdue can win on any giving day. They are that good
No doubt? Clingan can step back and hit threes. Edeys material quickness is so bad he will struggle against Clingan. UConn has a MUCH better supporting cast. They won't have to double. I think UConn dog walks Purdue. Illinois played them tough twice.
@@jhart2838clingan is not going to be able to guard Edey. He will get into foul trouble. Keep saying Edey can’t do this or that. Y’all been doing that all year and it hasn’t worked. Good luck.
Easy Arnold, lets get past DJ and NC State first. I think Purdue has a shot vs UConn but they will need more from Jones/Gillis/Heide to beat them or a special game from Loyer. Edey wont be able to dominate
Zach edey has to be the best player ever! No one in history has been as good! Guy can make any shot, avoid any 3 second violation by disrupting the space-time continuum. Truly amazing! Can shove any player without consequence, pure and undeniable brilliance. On top of that he is the ever img academy kid to pull off the overlooked card. What a hero.
Agreed, every year four teams are in this position and only one gets to be "secure" in being #1 overall. I bet most folks here cannot tell us (without googling it) what four teams were in the final four last year. That's how forgettable the final four teams are every year.

Coach Brantley is an expert at coaching bigs to avoid the 3-sec call. And defend to avoid fouling.
He also knows the college rules that as long as he has one foot out of the lane and lifts his other foot THE CLOCK RESETS!
@@chrisbeehler6637 absolutely! He’s always in motion!

not to mention if you shoot a lot of 3s and do not get into the paint you are not going to get free throw opportinities.
Thank you
He keeps improving he will keep getting better each year I enjoy watching Edey bc he reminds of Yao Ming

Id rather watch Zach Edey post ups than the NBA-lite style played by Alabama.
We already beat Alabama,
Go home

For every one missed call against Zach that other teams find, there are five that are missed on their team against Zach.

When you talk about Perdue, you only talk Edey, when you talk UCONN it's the team! Stop/limit Edey = stop Perdue
Y’all act like conn is an nba team. They lost games this year. I think that game would be more of a coin flip than a blowout in either direction.

A coach who never made a final 4? Never heard of that being a goal.
Gary you are completely right on the foul "issue" I always love hearing your input on college basketball
The Gary man feels like looking at the guy from Shawshank Redemption.
Btw, I appreciate the shout-out to the Big " O "
Those slow post ups will not work against UConn. UConn is on a mission. They will get up for that.game, Good luck!

Edey is twice the player that Clingan is.
I hope we find out. Everyone is on a mission so that is just a dumb statement.
@@darrenkoons2386 a mission to go back to back? Yeah, NONE of the teams are on that mission.
