Excelente vídeo... Big Country el mejor grupo Escoces de rock de la decada de los 80. Stuart, Bruce, Mark y Tony... Epico Rock Escoces. Diciembre de 2024, Desde 🇦🇷.
Makes me feel so emotional in happy and sad ways. We will never see this again in today’s ‘music’. Very few bands show this much enjoyment in what they do on stage at least
"Tall ships go", that's what a perfect rock song should sound like... ¡Extraordinaria Canción! "Big Country" and "The Skids", The Best Rock and Punk of Scotland, ¡ The Great Stuart Adamson!
Bloody love Big Country, very talented gents👏🏻👏🏻,Cheers Stevee. Did I see them live? Wish I could remember😂. Feel if I had I would definitely remember.
Amazing clip! Not only Big Country but one of my other fav tunes Fields of Fire !!! The flannel, the pegged pants, the hair, the colors, everything in this video is a dream of 1983....oh, not to mention the drumming, the bag pipe guitars (how'd they do that??!) Stuart's strong voice declaring war on pessimism...yep 1983 that was the year!
Brilliant fill from in a big country to field's of fire, saw them more times than I care to mention, best band I have ever seen live , Stuart was a genius
"Inwards", which Bruce gives a wee nod too, at the end of a In A Big Country", will always be my favorite cut off The Crossing and their Live Shows. Always loved those Yamaha Guitars! Stuart, Bruce, Tony and Mark made such Wonderful Music. Stuart is Sorely Missed. 🙏🏻
I don't remember seeing Stuart in Connemara or on the oilfields of Norway, but my friend Joseph Flanagan did and he so was sober enough to remember that it was the night of his life
@SCOTTISHTEEVEE thank you for this upload. I was just talking about Big Country the other day with a friend and now I see this thank you thank you thank you!❤❤❤
Great stuff ! Even if it does not sound as polished as the studio recording I still love it for the sheer energy and rawness. I'm guessing Stuart's voice was a bit overworked because of the way he sang "winter-tiii-iii-me" !
I saw them at Oxford ...wanted so badly to stand but the high up seating was really steep and it was SO HOT, I feared losing my balance! That bassline is so great. Just a surge of adrenaline listening to these tracks...at bedtime (I might not sleep!). Night, all!
So, take that look out of here, it doesn't fit you Because it's happened doesn't mean you've been discarded Pull up your head off the floor, come up screaming Cry out for everything you ever might have wanted...

Totally joyous and sad at the same time….where have the good times gone.
Brilliant live band. Seen them without Stuart and Bruce, really good too but different.
@Depat. Don't You mean Tony.

This was the kind of music that made you feel like you could take on the world ✊️✊️
Brilliant band live they have a totally unique guitar sound that no one else is even close to. Rip Stuart Adamson
Totally agree. Was lucky to see them play at Glasgow's Big Day - had the crowd going crazy.
Brzezicki and butler are on another level to. Brzezicki seriously underrated drummer
Pete Townshend didn't think so...................
@utredutredson1686 Your right...all four are on fire!
He did great work on The Cult Love album
@@Publicistvideossi señorrrrrr the kingggggg markkkkk😊❤❤
One of the greatest Scottish bands ever. No one else sounded like them. Excellent stuff :)
OMFG!! this was such a wonderful surprise! I've been a life long Big Country fan and never saw this footage before,. thank you so much for sharing
Me too it's like discovering them all over again👍
Barely a day goes by that I don't mourn Stuart's passing...such a tragic and senseless loss
well put
Makes me feel so emotional in happy and sad ways. We will never see this again in today’s ‘music’. Very few bands show this much enjoyment in what they do on stage at least
My great grandma was Scottish oh how i miss her and Scotland is still in me so much i love you ❤❤❤❤ guys
Nice to see both guitarists trading off playing lead (seamlessly)! I'd always assumed it was one playing rhythm, the other lead
Brzezicki and butler are on another level too
*Depression really affected "Stuart Adamson" a lot. Really miss him.*
Quality seeing the 2 Yamaha SG guitars for Fields Of Fire, the dualing sounds of Stuart and Bruce. Mark and Tony on fire also🔥
Big country and kings x are probably the 2 most underated bands in rock. Stuart adamson is a genius
Twenty-two years ago I blew out my car speakers blasting this song. I still love this song to this day. 💖❤💗
It had to of been worth it though!😃
I miss this band a lot. They were tight, well-rehearsed, and best of all they had their own unique sound even among the '80's British new wave bands.
The Crossing must be one of the greatest debut albums ever.
By far record in list British four years imbatibleeeeeeeeeee 😊😎💪😎💪💪💪
Y un Epico Segundo Disco "Steeltown". Todas las canciones muy buenas.
@sergioluciw673 and the seer y peace in our time son de ese nivel
@sergioluciw673 tall ships go yeahhhhhh

Those guitars sound like pipes! Awesome! Thanks!
*_You just can't take the 'Scott' out of the Scottish ..._*
Love this, the bass sounds great and it's got even more vitality than the excellent studio version.
Amazing clip! Not only Big Country but one of my other fav tunes Fields of Fire !!! they had a BOSS bagpipe effects pedal, I used to joke with mates, brilliant band
best live band i ever saw and i saw them many times just fantastic back in the day
Thumbs up if you think that this is one of THE BEST songs to come out of the 80's (both from an original and innovative standpoint).
Brilliant fill from in a big country to field's of fire, saw them more times than I care to mention, best band I have ever seen live , Stuart was a genius
Excellent. Saw Big Country in ‘96, excellent. Saw them in 2024, very good. Great band.
In my personal top ten of the GOAT singles.
this was their main anthem I remember but was the song about Scotland ? I think they were from Scotland also.
Oh, a medley... NICE. This really IS The Best Version! ❤❤❤
Rocking those Yamaha SGs! Just superb, many thanks for posting this and keeping the memory of Stuart Adamson alive.
1983 = 41 years ago. Wow
This reminds me of my younger Time, What beautiful sound
Maybe the last British Prog band. Awesome bass playing.
The Antigua Finish Burst needs some more love.
BIG THANK YOU😍🥰❤️😃💪🏻🙏🏻
This is so wonderfully the best version!!
I don't remember seeing Stuart in Connemara or on the oilfields of Norway, but my friend Joseph Flanagan did and he so was sober enough to remember that it was the night of his life
Not seen this before, simply joyous, thanks for posting!
Live music how it is supposed to be. Just simple and awesome! STV strikes again. ❤️❤️
absolutely I was lucky enough to see them once. Simply the best live band I ever saw.
Love them so much ❤
Big country were properly on it here, they'd toured that set to perfection and they loved it.
Made my day.
Thanks @scottishteevee

Loved this song the first i heard it. My friend had a poster of them.
What happened to bands rock is up for grabs I wish music like this still existed
Great stuff ! Even if it does not sound as polished as the studio recording I still love it for the sheer energy and rawness. I'm guessing Stuart's voice was a bit overworked because of the way he sang "winter-tiii-iii-me" !
Their Best Of is just one great song after another
I saw them at Oxford ...wanted so badly to stand but the high up seating was really steep and it was SO HOT, I feared losing my balance! That bassline is so great. Just a surge of adrenaline listening to these tracks...at bedtime (I might not sleep!). Night, all!
What a endlessly great channel this is. Thanks so much once again!
Simply brilliant!
Saw them twice in 1983.
Feel the power of the flannel. Nice to see Stuart with the Antigua Strat! Tony is always a joy to watch, and a nice version too!
Nice music..great beat....from 1986..wish I would have heard them back then.... I like it..thank you..
At around 6.56 the drummers shirt morphs into the face of jimmy hill or Boysie from only fools 😅
Great performance. Stuart reminds me of Harrison Ford here.
*_With a little Patrick Swayze in there too ..._*
Absolutely loving this , Thanks for Sharing, Seen them in Edinburgh Playhouse and Glasgow Barrowlands in 1983
Brilliant Ear Candy!
Awesome!
LFG!
Excellent.
Totally superb!

Great track and have never heard them live. Also first time hearing that extra second half. Is it part of the extended version?

Lovely stuff! Thank you. What was the TV programme?
It was called Switch
@@scoutthedoggie Cheers!
A touch of ska about them, certainly uplifting.
Come up screaming!
God, those Yammies! Best guitars ever imho. Loved this band. Pity Stuart went all cowboy. Still love him, Bruce, Tony and Mark. ❤
betamax mighty boosh
I wonder if the lyrics “stay alive” was like a message to himself? 😢
The lead vocalist seemed out of key
Just brilliant!
