I'm a 52 year old from the South of England. I recently met a young Scottish lad - late teens / early 20's and we were chatting about music. He's a very proud Scot. He'd never heard of Big Country, so it was my pleasure to introduce this band to him, and this was the first song I played for him. Instant fan!

My dad bought me my first car (a used 77 Toyota celica, a bit beat up) in 1984 and when I picked it up and drove it home, I turned on the radio. This song was playing. I felt like I was in heaven, I felt free. It was the 1980s and I was in high school with my whole life in front of me. I was driving a car. It was a Houston summer. The traffic was jumpin.
