Abdusattorov is more of a strategic than tactical player, but he's no slouch in tactical slugfests. His beautiful piece sacrifices to simplify and then win the game is just masterful.
And winning the queen endgame vs Magnus was so ballsy.

I tracked my calories/nutrient breakdown for one month. It was great for me to understand how many calories/nutrional content of each ingredient - some were very surprising (my oats breakfast is 1k calories!). I wouldn’t do it everyday but would recommend it to ensure you get a feel for the make up of your diet.

At 4:42 B c2 is played to make room for the knight in case parham pushes pawn to f6
good thought, but not correct. f6 doesn't work because of qxe6 and qxd5 after with qxe4 and qh7 checkmate. high level he was thinking about either rfe1 as main move, but parham can take on a4 and no path for white so he decided to protect a4 before as best move. Ironically, this agadmator dude says parham wouldn't really take on a4 but that's the point of bc2.

This game is a reminder why bishops (the sniper) can be so deadly. They just sit there on the long diagonal hiding between and behind pieces, just waiting for you to screw up 👀🤣

Great upload. As a beginner, I invented the London system unaware that it already existed. Based on 3 truths: 1. Never capture, only recapture. 2. Everyone automatically castles kingside, let's invent something to dissolve that. 3. Get both bishops involved into the game. So, how to counterplay it? Well dont castle kingside (into the attack). Dont capture anything and kill off the lightsquared bishop. You can also try to demolish the white center. Definately try out some versions against a friend. Check out some tutorials on how to refute the London. That might be best. Or you will lose to some beginner.

@@blackmancer all competitive chess games have their moves recorded. a computer combs the database of high-level tournaments and checks if that position has ever been reached there.
what it really reflects is: are there any recorded games by strong chess players that reached this position? if two 1800 players had it in 3+2 blitz, theres an argument to be made that it’s not that relevant to 2700+ classical chess
(could disagree w that, but it’s one perspective)
obviously, nobody can keep track of all the games played between friends at a table all over the world. but databases keep track of every fide-recognized tournament game (and every online game)
