    Frankly, I saw the Kf1 move and thought it was simple enough. But Magnus saw so much deeper in such time trouble that the queen sacrifice to prolong the game was actually the only practical move to extend the game with how Magnus's pieces were hunting the White King. This was a most deserved win by Hikaru, because if he didn't play that way, the pawn would have been unstoppable. Props to Hikaru and Magnus.

    I g one second increment in over the board armeggedon chess isnt enough although that creates thrill but two seconds increment would have saved the draw for carlsen

    • @scythazz
      @scythazz Месяц назад

      The whole point is not to give so much increment till time trouble doesn’t exist anymore. 1 second is the sweet spot over no increment. The 1 second is not for you to play on increment.

      I've heard others say that this time pressure is the point of Armageddon and I'm inclined to agree. The time deficit has to be a real drawback for Black, Black is not supposed to be able to play on increment in the end game. It would make getting a draw too easy

    • @Bladieblah

      Time pressure is the point of Armageddon. Black is not supposed to be able to play on Increment, even if they play very quickly
