    Frankly, I saw the Kf1 move and thought it was simple enough. But Magnus saw so much deeper in such time trouble that the queen sacrifice to prolong the game was actually the only practical move to extend the game with how Magnus's pieces were hunting the White King. This was a most deserved win by Hikaru, because if he didn't play that way, the pawn would have been unstoppable. Props to Hikaru and Magnus.

    10:00 I was pretty sure its rook e1 because rook take rook then you don't take the rook but promote to a queen on d1 then rook take queen rook take rook check only move king f2 then knight d3 wins , but then i realized after queen promotion white could just take the knight because the queen cover e1 , really amazing how magnus found that with the time he has.

      didnt win the latest world chess championship, therefore is not the current world chess champion. or do you think that if someone won the world championship and then retired without playing any more matches, they would remain the official champion forever?

    Thanks for the 3 pauses. I kinda found Kf1 on the 2nd pause. But I wasn't sure if that was the best. LOL, no way I would've found any of the moves if I had all the time in the world. Keep up the great videos, Agadmator. Treat to watch and learn.

    If the Clock was not an issue, could Magnus have reasonably drawn or won this game if both players continued to play at the same level? Was Magnus in a losing position?

    • @malsawmzela609
      @malsawmzela609 7 месяцев назад +1

      He played rook g5 as his last move, and that was already a bad move even if his time didn't run out.
      And yes his position was losing in every possible way. He only had a fighting chance because of the limited time, meaning Hikaru could blunder. With no time pressure Magnus has no chance of drawing from that position.

    Nothing wrong with being angry at failure. The key is to be polite to your opponent and the crowd and officials, but expecting no emotion is weird. If you don’t care, don’t play.
