    This was an awesome display of their strengths . Magnus showed that he can bamboozle his opponents even when he has a lost position but Hikaru countered by showing he could flag anyone including Magnus in an equal position .

    Magnus got completly outplayed in the opening but then made it as hard as it could be for hikaru. Traps to spot and hard moves to find everywhere. But Hikaru did an insane job solving every riddle while also advancing forwards, move by move. Just a few accurate moves more and hikaru would have done it. but then he blunders and magnus got in an endgame, wich looks like its a draw but you also know, if black isnt carefull and atleast some precise, he could easly lose. And the only one who can win there is white. But a few moves later, Magnus ran out of time.

    People say there's no luck in chess. This is a perfect example of Magnus getting lucky through a Hikaru blunder and then Hikaru getting lucky through Magnus moving too slow

    • @tja4379
      @tja4379 3 месяца назад +1

      both aren't down to luck. that's like saying a tennis player got lucky that his opponent played the ball into the net. apart from getting white or black, there is no luck involved.

    • @mndrndck
      @mndrndck 2 месяца назад +1

      It's both down to both players' skills. Luck is random, Hikaru's blunder isn't random but a result of failing to see the accurate move. Magnus moving too slow is a result of Hikaru's brilliant chess play up to that point where he blundered one single move in the end game.

      Because there will be royal fork with Knight to e2 and that position can make more chance of carlsen to win in that position

      or he could have just moved on with his queening, king to f2 after the fork could have prevented
