I'm a lifelong 67 yo Rangers fan. I live for the playoffs.The stress and anxiety is unmatched.
That is exactly the problem with sports today and has been for a long time. We celebrate nothing except the championship. The soccer world has it right with a chance to win multiple trophies and everything counts. The Rangers should be celebrating and handing out rings for winning the President's trophy but since fans are conditioned that the only thing that matters is the 'chip', the regular season essentially becomes an exhibition season. Nobody cares anymore who wins a regular season game. Rivalries are dead because of it. I have about a hundred things to say on this topic but obviously I can't in this comment section.
in a few years when most games especially marquis matchups on pay sites . the tide will eventually turn "business man lunch "special high noon starts on a Wednesday in august 15 buck entry 3 buck big beers 3 buck dogs oh the memories !!!
I'm sorry to say this. But if you all want to discredit the NY teams that won the past few years. We have two new york/nj soccer teams win. I wish more of these shows include soccer and women sports.
I made the change when I had kids. Only one team wins every year, but there are moments that make it fun every season even without a championship. Like when the Giants one a playoff game for the first time in over a decade

Expectations change from year to year. The 2007 Giants season was incredible, and obviously we never expected it. But the 11-1 season after, followed by what happened after was a collapse, and that season was beyond disappointing.
The 2017 Yankees were a pleasant surprise and that season was a lot of fun. 2022 was also fun, but getting swept by Houston mars that season in my opinion.
We all thought the Giants were never going to win another Super Bowl after 1990. Then 2007 and 2011 happened. The bragging rights are ETERNAL and still taste sweet. We will get back to the top, but first we must rebuild properly. Schoen is seeing to that.

I’ve seen too many straight up boring and not fun season with my teams to EVER take any good team for granted. Enjoy it.

The Knicks and rangers didn’t do anything really wrong, they just couldnt make it. It’s not like how the Mets are now facing the consequences of trying to play both sides of the w Rebuild/Compete spectrum or the Jets giving themselves up to the mercy of a weirdo.
