I always thought Pete Rose was overrated as well.
The question I would pose would be can you put all the other players you named in different positions on the field, and the answer would be no. Rose played in five different positions including infield and outfield. You not putting Henderson on first of third base. And these guys now a days can’t even hit 200 hits per year, Rose did it 10 times. Rose is not underrated at all.

This dude continues to say outrageous things to get attention .Pete Rose was a phenomenal player .An all star at five different positions besides all the batting titles and ridiculous amount of hits .when you watched him you knew he wanted it more then anyone else playing in that game ,He was a winner plain and simple and i couldnt stand him at the time because i was a Mets fan way back in 73 when Rose was the most hated man in NY during those playoffs after the brawl .was he a Hank Aaron or a Ted Williams or a Willie Mays ? of course not ,but to say he was over rated is just a immature and lazy take .
They moved him to different positions because he was an awful fielder. He was a good player but BT is right, he doesn’t belong in the same league as guys like Rickey Trout and Pujols

A few Rose Stars: 2nd All Time in Doubles, 6th in Runs, 9th in Total Bases. He had 1041 Extra Base Hits - 30th All-Time (39 Players with 1000+). With Runners on Base .318, with Runners in Scoring Position. 312 - OPS was above .800 in both situations. Also, Silver Sluggers started being awarded in 1980.

Overrated?! No. Love the show but that’s a fn stupid take. 4200 plus hits. On base over 6000 times! 303 career hitter when nobody other than 2 on the Yankees can hit 230 or any team. The same guy that complains when a team can’t hit in the clutch. Rose gets you that classic hit to keep it going or drive in that run

Ichiro is also insanely overrated, judging a guy on total “hits” is like using batting average. It doesn’t say the TYPE of hit you’re getting or how OFTEN you walk. When you look at metrics that factor those in neither was even CLOSE to an all time great
