Im young my testosterone levels are a bit too high. I cried when Edwin Diaz gave up that bases clearing double. When Lindor hit the home run I jumped up and my head hit the ceiling and I said “now please don’t blow it” ..😂😂
@@antonchigurh7820 I definitely remember 69 but as far as big HRs it was Lindor and Ventura. Yes there were a lot of big HRs in their history but those two are what stick with me
the Mets are certainly are a inspiration for those teams going through rebuilds and want to get where the Mets are. you have heart and a lot of it Lindor lead the charge and Mendoza kept that clubhouse together all season long. the 0-5 start, the trade deadline chatter, and look where they are now going to the playoffs they did it in dramatic fashion. coming back down 3-0 early and winning 8-7 against a hated rival in the Braves what a season.
1962 i was 12 years old my came to saying there's a new team called the Mets i became an instant fan Mickey Mantle was my hero no more Ed Kranepoll was!
This met team reminds me of the 2008 giants. And if we win we will go through all the best teams all on the road and imo if the Mets beat the brewers we can go all the way. Said the same about the giants and GB in 2008.
Just since 1995 - 30 seasons - the Yankees have made the playoffs 24 times. Oh, and BTW, they won 5 World Series and appeared in 2 others during that time. Man I hate the Yankees. I'm so thrilled this team made the playoffs. They are so much fun to watch. LFGM! Beat the Brew Crew!
i like the Mets chances against Milwaukee too they got a shot although Milwaukee beat them to end the season. but the way how this team believes in each other to me could be the difference because in the playoffs they are no favorites anyone can be beat.
The Pablo Lopez glove throw saved their season. It was the point where they hit rock bottom. The subsequent team meeting and all that came from it led to this moment yesterday. U won't be able to tell me any differently but Mendoza waived the white flag when he put in Broszoban and Ottavino. He's like well might as well save our guys for game 2. Then they both kept the score close enough to let them come back. What a game. What a season and if we get bounced in the WC round so be it. I prefer this than 2 years ago when they had the division won and lost it in the final weekend.
Great show ,What i saw yesterday Was a emotional roller coaster. if your a real Mets fan you understand what i mean. I have listen to many supposed fans that dawg Lindor out in beginning of the season, and I just could not believe it. Lindor is always a slow starter every season with the Mets, Nevertheless, What i like the most Lindor, Nimmo, Marte ,Iglesias, Taylor and starting pitching staff ,showing the Baby Mets HOW to hit and pitch in pressure situations .and even Alonso Defense has been great at first base (He's come a long way there).Mets fans love Alonso we just want him to hit when it matters. we want him to succeed. He's only like 4 in his like 30 at bats .If he start hitting watch out, but were still waiting. GO METS
You know, I'm not sure Kelenic wouldn't have beaten Diaz to 1st anyway. He can motor. But it was an nasty brain-fart on the part of ED. Especially in that moment.
I personally think Lindor should get the MVP it's kinda of like the Micheal Jordan effect he could have been the MVP every year Shohei Otani will be MVP multiple more times in his career give it to Lindor honestly if he wouldn't had that slow start he would be MVP
This has been one of my worst/annoying seasons as a 40 year Metfan and I'm not a casual, I watch 98% of the games and I'm normally a positive fan who roots for them even when they suck. Mets spent zero money, signed outcasts who no one wanted to fill the roster that all miraculously worked out for a year, made zero moves to win at the deadline because even they didn't believe, and somehow lucked out and overacheived with a 75 win team pretty much and a horrible manager who gets all kinds of praise for doing nothing correctly. Now you have to listen to Cohen say "I told you so" while he did nothing. Just the most bizarre year ever. If they really believed, they would have gotten Snell at the deadline that was the easiest no brainer no risk move to make if you actually thought you had any type of shot. The cool thing in MLB is you just have to get in the playoffs to have a chance to make a run so who knows where this ends? Let the miracles continue!
No one wants to admit how wrong they were about Diaz coming back out for the 9th. Not because he deserved to, but because they have no other choice. No one else in this bullpen is trustworthy. You live and die with Diaz

It's a success if they make it to the world series. With 350 million the Mets should have clinched a playoff spot 3 weeks ago.
