Really hoping for a FPV Goggles 2 because to me Goggles 2 aren't worth it. For me losing the 144hz refresh rate, losing the ability to Selecting Channels, the ability to select power output, and not being able use up 6cell bats as an alternative to the DJI goggles batteries was a deal breaker for me.
After watching your video (great presentation by the way, thanks for doing it) I decided I needed to find another Goggles V2 to back up my existing goggles. Almost too late, but I did find a refurbished pair on Amazon. Got them and they seem fine, except that I cannot activate the goggles with the DJI Assistant 2. They connect to my DJI FPV Drone OK, but the goggles display the message “Device not activated”. DJI Assistant 2 connects to them and allows firmware changes but never displays the “Activate” screen. I assume this is because the goggles have been activated by the previous owner. IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN ACTIVATE THESE GOGGLES WHICH HAVE ALREADY BEEN ACTIVATED BY A PREVIOUS OWNER?
@@MadRC I am using the app called "DJI Assistant 2 (DJI FPV Series)". I had no problems connecting to the used pair of V2 goggles I just bought with this app, and I was able to update the firmware on the goggles. However, there is supposed to be a popup for "activate" and this never populated. Actually, other than the annoying message which says "Device not activated", I seem to be getting video OK from the FPV drone, so maybe the answer is to just ignore the message.
In case anyone else has this problem, here is the solution. It turns out the correct app to "activate" in this case is NOT the "DJI Assistant 2 (DJI FPV Series). It is the "DJI Fly" app. After I connected to this app and went though the steps I am no longer getting the "Device not Activated" message.

time to get all the parts that you might miss later when they have broken cause spare parts are the key issue for all older goggles, not the tech itself which is still working fine like the Goggles Racing edition from 2018 , those red ones. But cameras and air units are long gone, also the diopter lenses you might need if you do not wann wear glasses. And this means to hurry and safe all the parts you might need and right now not sometimes in the future. Why ? Prices will go only one way: up And if you have more spares than you might need in the next 2 years then you will also get the prices in 2 years for your still unused spare parts cause for brand new parts in the box people always pay a premium, especially in sealed packages. Therefore better to get what you might ever need and later sell those parts separately after you have sold the goggles cause these parts can become worth a fortune compared to the now low prices if you can get them in the next month or so cause dealers will offer discounts soon once DJI declares a no longer sold or eol anouncement. You can check this for all goggles dji had released, always the same pattern of the prices and spare parts cause they will sell out sometime.

Yes now people will use it until they break without R ID, so here the bigges thing is that the airunit will be compatible with the integra but you will loose the ability to record in the airunit, what about the wtfosd? still compatible with airunit and integra googles?
5:10 V2 or Goggles 2?
But if I would upgrade the V2 Goggles to the firmware which supports the O3 Air Unit the FCC Hack no longer works or am I wrong? I heard many V2 users complaining about it..
Wrong. I have the latest v2 goggles version, nothing to interfere with the fcc hack
@@TheCatFather01 really? Thats nice!
Make sure you root for WTF-OS it before upgrading
@@serang with butter, you can root any version of v2
@@TheCatFather01 I didn't know that. It has been a while since I rooted my V2 🙈
Yo, eyeing upgrade from v1 to V2, but I'm asking are old air units and vista compatible with V2 and newer protocol without hard cap on range? Is the WTF.OSD working?
Wtf working for me on v2
Still on the v1s and happy 😛
Same as that
I was thinking about getting the V2 but I don't see any reason to.
It has AV in, thats is what i needs
Thanks for all the info, Ian! 😊
But yeah, it's still a bit messy... I hope they work more on the compatibility.
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
You don’t own them how is it messy for you
Really hoping for a FPV Goggles 2 because to me Goggles 2 aren't worth it.
Are you using assistant 2 for FPV ?
Waiting for the tear down of the Integra 🔥
where can you buy them now?
So.. If I'm still using the V1 goggles and wanted to upgrade goggles to the V2, I would also have to purchase the grey controller.?
to use the 03 unit, fpv drone or avata with a controller then yes. you could buy a 3rd party controller and compatible rtx.
In a few month they will probably come out with DJI Googles V3 that will only be compatible with the 04 Air Units....
This is why im not buying the goggles 2 or Integras
@@beefybeef1326 Seeing DJI previous FPV Screwups... It won't be long before the Googles 2 and Integra will be obsolete when they come out with a New FPV system... I'm staying away from DJI.
@@lasersbee i totally agree. Dji's business model is based on rolling out new stuff as frequently as possible and completely abandoning customers that have already baught. I think they make great products but generally treat their customers like turd.
I also hate that feeling when i buy a new thing and in the space of months its EOL and not compatible with new stuff. Thats the thing that puts me off the most!
So because my adhd brain can't keep up with all this info lmao am I able to connect v2 and g2 together for some one to see me fly either avata or fpv
А еще на очки V2 есть возможность установить аналоговый модуль!
есть
@@propterme9165 это был не вопрос, а еще один факт, плюс в пользу V2
Do you still lose all your bindings on the V2 goggles when switching between Vista and O3 mode?
Yep
There is a new patch for wtfos that prevent this
@@Pozzix65 barely -- Fixes binding loss for AU/Vista when switching from FPV/Avata/O3 mode to DIY mode. Does not currently work the other way around. The glass is half full.
I can only use them with my glasses/vision and I am not dropping that much cash on a backup set.
Does the Dji V2 goggles and 03 system require you to download a app and make a account? Nobody will tell me
You Re rewired to register before use. You can do this on pc or Mac
Soon, they will stop supporting it. So.. wht buy now?
What is the max. range of goggles V2 with O3 Unit? Is it ~24 km like in G2?
I think is 4km at max.
10km for the G2.
does the mini 2 work with the goggles?
Sadly no
Why would we want to buy something that's about to basically loose support
good lord all that made my head hurt😁😁
I'll buy anything DJI makes because they make the best gear, end of story. I say that as someone who flies analog and hdzero too!!!!
So its the best for you then lol
Got mine 😎 Hi 🇬🇧
I still prefer the DJi picture to all of the competition
All good reasons to switch to hd zero
And it's still available...
Actually no. They are no longer sold as new stock.
time to get all the parts that you might miss later when they have broken cause spare parts are the key issue for all older goggles, not the tech itself which is still working fine like the Goggles Racing edition from 2018 , those red ones.
But cameras and air units are long gone, also the diopter lenses you might need if you do not wann wear glasses.
And this means to hurry and safe all the parts you might need and right now not sometimes in the future.
Why ?
Prices will go only one way: up
And if you have more spares than you might need in the next 2 years then you will also get the prices in 2 years for your still unused spare parts cause for brand new parts in the box people always pay a premium, especially in sealed packages.
I got both on ebay Goggles 2 for $450 new condition no battery or strap ,Goggles V2 i got for $219 , DO NOT BUY the V2 buy the Goggles 2 ,, stream movies .. with wireless streaming ,,play computer games on your goggles ,, The goggles 2 are just so much better far far superior especially the Pixels ,,, the V2 the pixels are so noticeable ,, the goggles 2 watching movies is like at the theaters incredible ,, My V2 I try to use the other day and just put them back in the case collecting dust ...another old set of goggles laying around for backup only
DJI screwed up their FPV Systems to what is compatible or not compatible.... What a freaking mess.. Glad I went with HDZerro and Walksnail.
They stop producing the Goggles 2 since last november
After watching this, I have a new appreciation for analog 😂
You did a great job it’s just that my brain hurts trying to keep up.
Goggles2, V2, Integra… what transmitter works with what goggles? 🤯🤪😄
The V2 goggles never fit me at all. Glad they are getting rid of them.
lol, like they built them just for you, just so you can have a perfect fit. They fit to a lot of other people just fine.
Did you make any effort to customise the foam insert to the contours of your face? If not, you have no reason to complain.
Yeah..that really sucks that DJI has completely abandoned the compatibility for the DJI FPV Drone to be able to use the goggles-2 or the new Integra, I Don't Get It DJI??👎

DJI is doing exactly what Apple has been doing. I need compatibility. All goggles are over price they're not worth nowhere near the retail price. I don't have money to be dropping on fpv goggles every time the company comes out with a new one. It appears to me that no one is ever satisfied 😅fly your shit and be happy. It's just a matter of time one of the other Fpv goggles manufacturers will drop another expensive set of goggles that will have features the current one doesn't have, and so on and so forth, Smh. 😪 let's just waste money.
They'll be 2nd hand one's available for decades, don't fomo chaps.
You missed the BIGGEST advantage of V2's:
They can do analog.
End of discussion.
This
I’ve never tried this, does it perform fairly well? Or does it have its quirks?
@@alekblaser Actualy it is great!
Only "quirk" is if you lose the signal completely, there is 2-3 second delay until it comes back.

I give it 6-12 months before DJI kills the compatibility from the V2 goggles to new VTxs (O3 and later)
If it's how they work, I'll switch to HDzero. Opensource, baby! Not 100% open-source yet, but at least communities have chance to maintain.

too many buzzwords. not much usable info. What people want to know is whether it is going to work with their drone and their RC.
Well this is not the video for them. This video was nothing to do with what the compatibility is. This was about availability hens the title. Perhaps look for a video called what DJI Goggles V2 compatibly. Complaining this video is not telling you what works is like walking into a bar and complaining they don’t sell laptops.
