I'm a lifelong Wrangler owner. I dig the Bronco. Unfortunately, these auto manufacturers (especially Jeep) are trying to reset what we all think of as a "base model price." It ain't gonna work, Ford/Stellantis! We're not as dumb as you think we are. $40K for a base model Bronco and Wrangler is ridiculous. We're not getting $40K worth of value.
Base models for all manufacturers could be even cheaper if they didn't include all the surveillance tech. Just give me analog gauges, real knobs to twist and buttons to push. I don't need or want: always-on Wi-Fi, a unique Bluetooth address, or built in GPS. MSRPs could drop quite a bit without all this unnecessary crap.
@@donwyoming1936yes, keep paying for the overpriced tech that is going to break down in no time. I guess you like paying extra for repairs as well, don't you?
Welcome back, the $29.995 base model. Oh, wait. $39.995 base model. Thank you Ford for making us feel like we're getting a real deal. Feelings > reality.
You all are talking about the features and specifications of the bronco For me first of all how on earth Is this a ford bronco? I won't buy even if it's for free
$40K when the BRONCO Came out - the base was $28k - so the base model is more than this current years upscaled mid range model. No wonder sales are slumping at ford.
That is absurd! I got my 2022 2 door Base manual brand new for $28,500. Non Sasquatch obviously but I am currently rocking the 35" Mickey Thompson Baja Boss.
The depreciation on any new vehicle is significant. The vehicle will lose thousands of dollars when it’s driven off the dealers lot. Thousands of dollars can be saved simply by purchasing a one or two year old vehicle. Buying a new vehicle only makes sense if it’s kept for at least five years.
I was excited about the base model coming back until I saw the price! Such a disappointment! For 40,000 you can get so much more with a Jeep. Or you could buy a base Jeep for way less.
😂😂😂……How on earth is the Base more ‘affordable’.. $37k before taxes n fees..Yeah I built a 2025 Base and I was up to almost 50k and that is WITHOUT the option to have the Aux Switches. I’m so happy with my 2023 2door Big Bend, Sandstone interior, tow package, Aux Switches, Modular bumper and SAS..for less than a similar 2025 built Base.
Looking at Ford's website, for 2024 the "base" model appears to be the Big Bend edition. It sells for $39,630 and has a host of standard equipment. For 2025 Ford introduces a "base" model that is going to cost $39k+ but doesn't have the equipment list of the current "base" model. But the new base model is more gooder for cosumers; right Ford?
40 grand for a impractical underpowered 4 cylinder SUV. Stick it, Ford, you have priced the middle class out of your show room's. Ford must think they're too big to fail. they're going to find out.
Base model looks like something the USPS would have in their fleet. Not only do I not need a digital cluster I want and prefer an analog cluster. Vents in the rear? Ok, how about not having 4 spare tires on an off-road vehicle instead? The Bronco looks to me to be one of those lifestyle vehicles (like a Jeep) while a more practical person would consider a Subaru Forester/Outback or a Toyota 4Runner or something like that.
I haven't driven a Bronco, but I owned a pristine Wrangler 2-door for 6 months and hated it. It was an overhyped, overpriced POS that handled like a shopping cart. And wtf is up with those stupid rubber ducks?
Time to rant. TOO MUCH ELECTRONICS IN MODERN VEHICLES!!!! MAKES THEM EXPENSIVE, AND EXPENSIVE TO MAINTAIN. When a base model Bronco lists at 40K I have closed the book on EVER buying a new vehicle again. P.S. At least Ford is offering a MANUAL TRANSMISSION in this truck. Thank God. Are you paying attention GM and... is it Chrysler?
Its very cheap looking. Too much plastics. This should not be above 60K loaded. Did I say too much plastics? The Jeep Wrangler is also all plastics, and RIDICULOUSLY priced too.
Black out package, How about the black obliterated packaged! Especially on the interior, I live down south and I need black in the summertime like I need the plague. Try to order a 2 door without a black interior. No thanks Ford
'Hey guys, look, there's a super cool base model!' Yay, we love it! ' and heres another rich- guy bauble that'll never get used' Boo! Suck it, money bags! We want the base model! Tho that stripe package does something for me.
I think it's time for the American car companies to just stop trying to sell affordable cars. The end product is disposable plastic garbage with disposable drive trains. Just pathetic. Let's just let them just go ape with their $100,000 mercedes wannabes. Ooh, imagine all the stock by-backs they'll be able to pull off once everything they sell is $170k! 😯🤪😂
Top trim $100k and no V8 or color options? 😂 Get a base with Sasquatch for $45k and you will be ok. Any interior colors you want as long as its black. Henry Ford is gleaming at this. 😂 There are options now. Jeep Wrangler for $45k Ineos Grenadier for under $100k.
LMFAO at $40k with no options... No, just no. What a freaking joke. Add to the injury is the insult of not being able to get a 2 door 2.7 Bronco for under $75k. Ford has mismanaged this potential money maker so badly that 50k units are languishing on dealer lots with Sarah McLachlan music playing the background.
By the time you add Sasquatch package and automatic transmission to 4 door base model you are at $50,000. And for that $50,000 you don't get blindspot monitoring....Ford is a joke!!! I got heated seats and heated steering wheel and blindspot monitoring on a $29,000 2024 Ford Maverick hybrid XLT. Broncos are $20,000 over priced!!!!

But those things only cost the consumer more. Profit will be lost.
Those of us still not living in the 1970s, would like Bluetooth & cameras in our cars. Go buy a baseline Kia is you want to go back in time.
I totally agree. Probably be 10,000 cheaper. All these electronic items are gonna fail.
And also rubber flooring manual windows and manual transmission. And above all no stop and start. I would consider one.

They will be piling up and then get big discounts.
3-years ago the price for a 2Dr Base was 29,995.
Almost 40k for base model ? F - Ford and your bronco, I’ll keep my money. Big 3 thinks most people are stupid, not me though.
That’s because most people ARE stupid.
So, you're more of a Kia guy than a Ford guy. I get it.
@ No, just smart guy.
Well. Its not 1995 anymore Gramps
@ I’ll bet “gramps” has 10X your wealth though. 😂
Geez just $40k for the base - Not.
this is cheap for us Canadians, i bet here itll be priced at 50 or more
@@TheBonusHole I am a Canadian that got a 2022, 2 door, manual Big Bend with roof rack for $48,000 Can and that taxes and all. Never been happier.
Makes me feel like my '22 2 Dr Black Diamond at $38K ordered July 2020 was a steal. Manual, Wheel upgrade, and Steel Modular Bumper.
they brought back the base trim, but not the base MSRP lol
I remember when they first announced the Bronco base was around 25,000 to 27,000 and couldn't even get the Bronco because of demand very disappointed
the base used to cost 27k four years ago... what a rip off
right! i remember base model wrangler was 25k new
BIDENOMICS FOLKS
I like the simple looks of the new base model, but 40K for a turbocharged 4 cylinder in a vehicle of that size and weight is still a deal breaker.
I want one of these sooooooooo bad. 2 door in either green or black with the retro stripe package. I just wish they had actual gauges though.
I just bought a black 4 door big bend bronco almost 2 weeks ago now for 50k, I love my car but man these prices are getting up there.
Base model 29k to 39k 😂 f that
Agreed. Sheesh...
Are people now days so poor they can't understand $30k is a baseline vehicle? I'm surrounded by Kia owners!
@@donwyoming1936 when they came out they were supposed to be 29k for a base model.its not being poor just not wanting to spend 40k on a base model.

Until they start to flicker. Then $$$$$
Base model $10K too high. Not interested!
They are awesome but too much money for the base.
too expensive for the base model :(
That Stroppe Edition is off the charts !
Original had white interior, new one has only black interior, completely unimaginative.

39,000 for the base model? Affordable my ass. The original base model started at 30,000.
I wish Toyota would sell us a 2 dr SUV/off-roader in the States.
They do. The Tacoma Xtra Cab.
$40k for the base model!?

Great review, Aaron.
I'll keep my 1991 Wrangler that I paid $16k for & is still running great with 382k miles now.
