Full disclosure I’m addicted, found this RUclips channel by pure chance due to the Irish vlog. Then the calm voices of lovely Ken & Carole drew me in “ ok I thought check out the rest” I have just finished the French / Spain series and they are truly fantastic - Ken is a master of the Drone & video , Carole takes fabulous photos (equal to any professional IMO). I have no idea what their previous professions are but I would guess maybe Teachers? Due to their kind and calm nature. A must follow IMO. PS ken & Carole voices are so suitable for a Vlog. Happy traveler

I just saw my first video by the two of you. It was the one about using the bubble wrap on your windows. Interesting and quite informative. I live in the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills in Virginia and love camping and hiking and now doing road trips in my Ford Explorer until I can buy something else larger when the time comes. I just retired and am a caregiver for my 90 year old Mom who is still a little fire cracker. She and my Dad were the ones who got my brother and I into camping taking us on the Appalachian Trail when I was just a tot. So now I go out when I can and video everywhere and everything I do and then bring it back- turn it into a movie and show my Mom. She is always just giddy watching them. When I can't get away I enjoy watching people like the two of you out on your adventures. I am now going to bing on all your videos. You two do have a wonderful spirit about you and I'm sure I will be learning a lot from you. Thanks for sharing your life. Lovely van, I’m planning on doing something similar myself, no pop top for me though. Sussex do such good work, I love how much it is like the VW California inside! Looks like you had a nice trip too
Pop tops have good and bad points. The best is the ability to limbo under height barriers and allowing you to stand to cook and wash. The worst is condensation and noise. 👍. Never say never I say as being able to stand and the extra space to stow gear is a life saver for us 👍

Hi Carol & Ken. We are very font of our Nugget that we use since 4 years. We decided to buy a high roof van because we wanted to stand in the kitchen, sit on our backseat, en use the upper bed when needed. And we take our grandchildren on our trip now and then. We use our van the whole year and sold our other car.
Just noticed at 1.42 mins in you travelled across Blithfield reservoir near Uttoxeter, that is about 15 mins from where we live also Cosford Air museum . We have been to most of the areas you have visited in this video except for some of the Yorkshire areas which we have just started doing. We have also met a lot of the youtube vloggers you passed in the Peak district
I have watched a few of your recent videos as you're travelling around in the area of France where we have a holiday home. As we are thinking about a small motorhome (IH Savannah or similar) I thought i would take a look at some earlier ones. Nice to see you at our local coffee stop (Basildon House) and in my home county of Yorkshire. Makes me want to get on with it and get out.

Love you’re videos, looking for a camper to fit in my standard garage, would you know the O/A height at the highest point..? Also will one of you’re videos show the main bed down? I walk past NV200’s and can’t picture how the bed can be long enough.... 😊
For video of the bed down check out part 5 of France and Spain. I am 5’10” and find it fine. With the pop top roof its 1.94m tall. Without the pop top they are lower. 👍
Thanks Simon. The saucepan is part of a Kampa Munch set we bought in Camping World, Horsham. I’m not sure which knife you are referring to but the one that we use now we bought in a supermarket in France. It has a ceramic blade and is only about 22cm long in total. Wonder if you came across it on your recent trip? Are you still touring Ireland or have you returned? Nice locations on this video. :)
I reckon we will be free of masks and almost back to normal by Christmas. Mainland Europe will not be as those open borders makes it impossible to control. We have not been to Donegal yet. We will be crossing into ROI Wednesday or Thursday this week. Still lots to see over here Covid permitting. 👍

Your campercan is not little loll my little red campercar is a chevy sonic 2014 i got a full 6 feet bed in it a toilet a kitchenet inside I crossed whole canada from montreal to vancouver island in it and i live full time in it :)
Its little in the grand scheme of leisure vehicles but I know that many people live in much smaller vehicles full time. Its a real education seeing how comfortable people can actually make a vehicle with very little space. I see you are making videos of your travels. When filming hold your phone in landscape mode not vertical, that way we get to see more as the viewer. Its well worth documenting your journey in that van. All the best from us. 👍
Yes im struugling with youtube to make on non vertical couldnot find how when i record with youtube if u can help me to find how thats will b realy helpfull and thats why most of my lives are on my fb personal profile so far so its not good I would like to b more on my youtube channel
Jac simple answer to that is automatics in the U.K. are imported from Japan and don’t have aircon etc. We test drove an automatic when we went to see them and that was on the wish list but aircon is important to us. I actually enjoy driving the manual now even though I thought I wouldn’t. It involves you so much more and to drive it well you have to focus. I enjoy driving. If you get the gear wrong though it complains 😏
Life is too short thank you. I have driven autos for years due to back problem. I love the look of your little red van but like you, air con is a must. Shame the imports don’t have it. Need to look at something else now 😢
Hi Carol and Ken, I am just doing a bit of binge watching. It was great to see that you visited Glossop. I used to live there. Lovely little community and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. We lived just outside of Glossop in a small farming community called Moorfield. Basically you turn right on to Hurst Road, just as you are about to hit the Snake Pass. Then you enter Derbyshire Level which is where we lived. You can go walking on the moors up there. The 'Bleaklow Bomber' sadly came down on those moors and some of it still remains. However, much of the remains of the Bomber have been looted as souveniers which is sad, I think. The Bomber crashed in 1948, tragically killing all 13 passengers on board. Perhaps look it up if you have time. Just bare in mind it's quite a trek to find the wreck. They are good vans for sure and we understand the preference for a high top. We are monitoring how often the low roof on our van is important. 👍
