    I got the music balance on this one wrong. Apologies.
    I think a few people will want to know what made me want to move on? All I can say is I had a gut feeling it was not safe in that isolated spot. Carol didn’t feel this but I certainly did. I have a rule that we move if it does not feel right. Have to say that feeling is quite rare.

      I know what you mean about those gut feelings Ken. My husband doesn’t understand when I say I get bad vibes about some places.

      Dead right Ken, I don’t scare easily but I always trust my gut feeling no matter how rare they come along. And sometimes it can just take one little thing to spook you so always best to move on… Beautiful butterfly by the way 😊

      It proves that your sixth sense was operating Ken and better still that you listened to it. We should take heed from our animal friends. I have been to Nevers and saw St Bernadette's shrine. It was nice to see it again. You showed it in a respectful manner. Thanks for all your vids, they are posted in such an inclusive way.

    Love the way Ken says "WE have had a lazy day so far, I have been doing some editing" yet video opens with Carol sweeping, beating rugs, cleaning.. made me laugh. Nice informative video. Thanks.

    We are currently travelling north west in Australia, made me smile Carol when you said very hot at 31, it got to 52 here today, most unpleasant. 🥵

    Another great series comming to an end ,but it was amazing .
    Lovely to watch on this now wet and windy Saturday evening.

    Hi guys great video we are it itching to get over to France but have family commitments in the UK at the moment but when they are gone. We really really want to get to the EU. That trip looked amazing. We have never been so it will be our first time ever going abroad in our van. We keep laughing at the different names you have for Daisy may, Charlie Brown, Bunny, and Carol. No wonder the van is not big enough it only sleeps two 🤣🤣 stay safe guys, its very relaxing watching your videos. Michel and Kim 🙏 ps looking forward to part Two.

    Hello you two, marvelous video again in a beautiful area. I remember you saying some time ago you like to watch YT of fellow travelers like I do some 5/6 years now. I started with 'Wild she goes', (I learned to build my little camper from her) and you two. Through your contacts and algorithms more and more to see on YT. Not long ago I countered a YT channel of a Dutch motor traveler named 'Itchy Boots". She is quite famous apparently and indeed brings me in places I never shall visit. Because you two have been on every continent you like to watch her 'route'. Can't wait to see your new BIG camper, gr from Rotterdam.

      Exactly the question my neighbours ask , as I’m going for the noisy neighbour award 23/24 😂. I’m aiming for may , I’m converting a 2020 mobility transit SWB so it had a ramp gouged into the floor which I’m having to workaround. This month floor and Rib seat/bed next month furniture 🪑.       It was the singing and atmosphere inside the church that heightened the emotions. We watched the old black & white film “The Song of Bernadette” last night which filled in the back story 🙂

    I'm was named after st Bernadette at the insistence of my granny lol so I'm very happy to see the place. Also I've just been obsessed with learning that song you hear after mass, Couronnée d'étoiles.(edit: Regarde l'étoile) Talk about trusting your gut. I feel this episode is telling me something... I know, go france Marie Bernadette! I think there's french blood in my veins, catholic french blood 😅

    Hello from australia 😅 we are having a 30*c day and 91% humidity and can expect the temperature to rise too 37* in a couple of days. I live in NSW on the east coast and it is wetter this summer than what we would usually expect. Not great for the older generation I must say Muggy as all hell. Thank God for a breeze😊

    Thanks for the video. Brought back a lot of memories of my camping trip (tent) to the Loire valley some 40+ years ago. I have strong memories of a blisteringly hot afternoon sitting under willow trees on the river Nanak opposite the town of Chinon.
    If you revisit then add Fontevraud Abbey to your list, stunningly beautiful and it was the final resting place of Henry 2 (The Lion in Winter), his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine and their son Richard the Lionheart. Only the tombs and carved figures remain as the French Revolution ‘disposed’ of thrm.
    Looking forward to seeing the new camper, must be due for completion now.

I remember that I went to England on the 16th of June last year and it was so hot and on the 17th of June I was in Oxford and we had rain, just like you on the same day.     Hi Carol and Ken . I was thinking about you trying to keep cool . Most caravans were produced in white same as many campervans/ motorhomes . I believe the reason is to keep them cool in sunny weather . My wife has a red car and the bodywork gets extremely hot compared to my white van standing next to it. Regards Vince and Dee , currently near Genoa.

    I just found your channel, can't wait to catch up on your videos. They are very good! I love how easy going your relationship is. My husband and I argue a lot, but I think that's just normal being married. After watching how you two get along so well, maybe I'm wrong LOL :o)

    I liked Nevers when we stopped there in 2022. This building and sign caught my interest. It is by the river crossing and maybe covered with scaffolding in your video. I struggled to translate the date and so looked up the French Republican Calendar on Brittanica, very interesting. Napolean was trying to prevent conscripts leaving his army, but he managed to do so here even though he was “harangued”.

    Bernadette lived in very very impoverished conditions. Her father had been the local miller. A drought ended his ability to operate the mill and they lost it as they were unable to pay. They moved in with relatives and he did occasional labor jobs when they became available. As often happens, with the inability to find steady work and care for his family, he began to drink which ended their shelter with relatives. They moved into a cave but it was very damp and Bernadette became too ill to remain. She had always been ill, we would probably diagnose her with asthma, today. Eventually she developed Tuberculosis. The place they lived down the alley in town were jail cells that fell into disrepair so they stopped housing prisoners there. Bernadette’s father convinced the Mayor (I think) to let them live in the old part of the jail. They had 1 room, I think. I THINK that Bernadette was one of 5 children and I should look it up. The water at Lourdes is remarkable not just for its healing properties but also because she only dug a few inches into the ground for the water to surface and after a few hours or days, it began to run freely. During the drought. Bernadette did very poorly in school and I presume she eventually learned to read as she wrote a book or two and was in correspondence with many people around the world after she entered the convent. I believe she outlived her parents but she died very young (early 30’s?) of TB. ITHINK. Don’t take my word because I don’t know nothing about nothing. That is mostly right but I am not 100% on how many siblings, if both parents passed before she did or if it was TB that ended her life. She is in a transparent sarcophagus because after she died and was buried, it was decided that they would move her grave. But when they dug her up (there’s a more gracious word) they found that much of her clothing had disintegrated but she was still perfectly preserved. So they brought her into the chapel. Creepy? To me but most things about death and embalming and all of that is very dissettling (sic?) to me. There are a handful or two of people who remain preserved and are considered holy because they are somehow protected from the normal decay of death. Trying to be neutral about this and I am just telling you what I know. I have several reasons to believe this as true but I won’t try to convince anyone. I would not succeed if I tried. If I did NOT believe it and someone tried to convince me otherwise, it would really irritate me.

      We watched the old black & white film “The Song of Bernadette” the other night which showed most of what you have written. We read about the incorruptible bodies of saints to find out more about it. Quite remarkable 🙂
