Comparing this to Nikon's set up video, they didn't recommend mounting the mic to the hot shoe. You guys did. I'm following along as best as I can, but you haven't done a balance check to verify what you did. When I run the balance check I am banging my mic on one of the axis and I am guessing that's what's throwing everything off. Should I disregard the balance check and wing it?

The hardware that comes in the base filmmaker’s kit doesn’t come with the 1/4” screw to attach the VideoMic Pro+ to the Ninja V. It would be optimal for balance purposes and battery life efficiency to have the mic mounted on the monitor, but the Moza Gimbal motors should be strong enough to correct having the balance slightly off. In the long run, it’s probably better to have it mounted off camera. Hope this helps!

@@Pictureline well the motors can be strong, but the HDMI cable is heavy and stiff enough to turn them off. At least in case of my Moza Air 2 any position of any HDMI cable creates enough force to prevent usage of the gimbal even after proper manual balancing. I'm suspecting my Moza gimbal is faulty :(

Coulda used this back in March... I had to figure it out by trial and error (mostly error)
They do gloss over the connection from Moza to Z6:
NIKON Z6-->Micro USB to Type-C Adapter-->M3C-Micro Cable-->CAM CTRL port on Air 2. The CAM CTRL port is on the side of quick release plate, n ext to 7.4V OUT

Did you have to get your adapter separately? Outside of moza and Nikon? I don’t see that or anything like it would work in any of the packages

The cables were in the Filmmaker’s kit but, at first, I didn’t recognize them either... and ordered an additional one from Moza... and, when I got it, I saw I already had it... so It’s not obvious....
