Dead Topics: Titans is WORSE than Gotham Knights

- Titans is garbage, you know it, I know it, but few people seem to understand just how bad this show is. I firmly believe it is in the same class as some of the worst superhero shows ever made. Including she-hulk, Gotham knights, batwoman, and more. So join me as we go over just how terrible titans truly is.

I'm gonna Hawk 2...

"We are FAR better than the cops; you see, we don't just brutalize the criminals extensively, but also any emergency services that might be there!"
"I'm angry." "At Joker?" "No. At Jason."
I literally just exclaimed "WHAT?!" at my screen. What kind of sociopathic, hate-boner-for-Jason-having, victim-blaming, sick and twisted individual wrote that trash and thought it made sense?!
I could honestly see other versions of Starfire slapping her or slugging her for that remark.
You gotta love how after Jason, their friend, tried to end himself and is "found" dead after months they didn't talk to him, the best thing Starfire can say is "Dude, that guy was so dumb he was killed. Don't be like him, okay? Be better."
I stopped this show midway through season 1 because i found the actress for Starfire to be a bizarre choice. I don't want to come off as racist, but that wig doesn't match her skin tone
@@JohnnyJustice777her race has nothing to do with how ridiculous she looks. The fact you even have to preface your comment with "i don't want to come off as racist" is sad.
As someone who liked the Titans more than the Justice League, this show feels like it was made for me
If I lived in the Bizarro World
Idk if you're serious or joking
@@leafyishereisdumbnameakath4259
Joking, everything in the Bizarro world is the opposite of what it means, love means hate, and yes is no for example. Their saying if the lived there they’d like the show, meaning they still hate it basically.
@@glitchhoffe1293 oh they liked the titans more than the justice league!! I thought they said they liked the titans show more than the justice league movie by joss whedon or zack snyder
Cops in Titans Seasons 1-2: Beaten and killed by Titans
Cops in Titans Season 3: Fans of said Titans
What da nuts was that!?
Maybe writers understood importance of cops for society,so don't them to be shown beaten by their "heroes"?
@@Snorkynhis point was that it's stupid for the cops to be fans of the titans. You know considering that the titans were constantly beating up and definitely killed a couple of them.
@@sentinel0706 I know.
The fact Bruce killed the Joker in the season where Jason becomes the Red Hood is such a slap in the face to the character I genuinely don’t think the creators read the comics or even watched the Red Hood movie
Even if he went and just really beat down joker insane but not killing him would be less, why.
Bruce did try to kill Joker after Jason Todd's death in the comic book "A Death in the Family", but he was stopped by Superman.
@@randallflagg3700yeah, you kinda have the answer to why that works in your own comment, he didn’t, that’s why it worked, he was weak but didn’t crumble
Arkham Knight did this better because his motivations was that Batman didn’t kill the Joker before Joker got to him from which he was tortured far longer and a lot more worse than other versions that he no longer believes in any of the ideals Batman fought for.
"I'm gonna need some guys. But not these guys... They're dead."
Bruce Wayne is the funniest character in season 3: like when he drops the crowbar next to Dicks bed and leaves, I literally died laughing
Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Seriously, Titans, go hawk yourselves.
Hawk tuah
But you never expected to tuah
From a hawk to a trash
@@MrcreeperDXD777 You mean “from hawk tuah trash” 😏
the way they act, and especially how Starfire talks, about Jason after his death is genuinely deranged. They treat their former friend and "family member's" passing worse than a stranger would.
He's a proxy rich SWM, of course they treat his passing like trash. We live in an era of Hollywood heterophobic sexist racism, it's not really surprising in the least.
Whiny little shit cries about a great show. Nothing you've said is true and is truly lacking in intelligence. You should try actually watching the show.
Don't. Don't call that witch Starfire.
Man Titans is so bad; like it imploded faster than the OceanGate Titan
I'm not saying your are wrong, but I still want to make sure: You know the OceanGate Titan imploded within a fraction of a second, right?
@@theuncalledfor Yes, that's the joke
@@Smaestr
Okay, just making sure.
I love how Teen Titans Go had an episode where they acted as overly edgy as possible thinking it would make them better heroes, and this show looked at that obvious satirical episode and went "okay we'll try that"
Man I will never forgive what they did with Red hood I tired of Jason getting beaten down pun intended.
Wait so instead of Barba being the former Bat Girl like in every over version of herself she instead is cat woman rip off
These writers didn't have a clue who these characters are outside of vaguely understanding their powers
They didn't even have a clue how people interact and behave
like
you know
grieve about death of a friend when he dies instead of making him an butt monkey in motivational speech
Ah yes, time to watch a guy complain about a show I've never seen and enjoy every minute of it
Edit after watching: I'm sorry, but I just find your presentation really entertaining. At least your suffering is for a good cause? I guess?
I selfishly want you to make more of these just because I like watching them so much.
He have to vent frustration on the bad movies off his system
RE: Cops suddenly fans of Titans
It really _is_ like a worst-possible-choices run in an RPG, but the RPG is badly programmed and assumes you made the good choices even though it offered the evil ones (and you took them).
The actor that plays Starfire should have been Asian. Starfire has a vaaaguely Asian-ish design in the cartoon (the good one).
@@theuncalledfor the comic version was more closer to a black women.
@@lucariopokemon13
...I guess that's fair.
I haven't read the comic, but have seen the cartoon. The cartoon was good. I may be biased toward that.
@@theuncalledfor It's fine. Some people are too ignorant to learn that fact but either way the show is still a disservice to Starfire.
@theuncalledfor
So a typical Bethesda rpg then lol
as soon as you mentioned how super speed breaks the plot of almost any show that a character has it in the flash backs hit me like infinite void. "THERE'S NOWHERE TO RUN!!!"
Cue the SSBB main theme, as the villain of the episode gets a dramatic Smash styled newcomer introduction.
Did the showrunners hire REAL TEENAGERS to write these scripts?! Seriously, I see NONE of the maturity a REAL ADULT would put into such stories- by "maturity," I'm not referring to a teenager's MISGUIDED belief "Sex and violence make things mature!!!" but an adult's understanding "Dealing with the CONSEQUENCES of sex and violence- having to raise a child and support a family, having to deal with the grief of losing a loved one, having to live with a crippling injury- make things mature."
real teenagers make better stories than this crap 💀
Teenagers don't believe that makes something mature. Just you.
Don't project onto others.
@@Meldrick-jv7syNo You'd be surprised at how many 13 year olds can think like this.
Pretty sure only Raven, Jason, Gay black Tim and possibly Beast Boy are actually teenagers, Superboy is in his early-mid 20's, Donna, Hawk and Dove were mid-30's, Dick and Starfire are in their early 30's.
I remember telling my friends how much I loved the teen titans and they went oh! Titans the live action one? And I internally cried
A genuine problem I have that nobody seems to notice (rightfully so, there are MUCH worse problems with this show) is that Jason is built like a twink. Jason Todd as Red Hood is around 6'3" and built like a tank.
It never makes sense to me that comics made today can reference things that happened 30 years ago irl, but for whatever reason show runners cant keep continuity in their OWN SERIES.
You know it's bad when Family Guy and a nearly forgotten 90's superhero movie with a rubber suited Shaquille O'Neal and an elderly Shaft (Steel) have better representations of a badass in a wheelchair.
the thing is the disappearing batman trick has worked on superman at least in the animated series so there is precedent for it being used on superboy but there is a massive caveat to that point
THAT WAS ACTUALLY BATMAN AND NONE OF THE OTHER CHARACTERS ARE ON HIS LEVEL
😂 Almost like nobody considers power scaling in this.
There’s no reason to believe that the Robin’s can’t be as good at the vanishing trick as Batman in this show, especially Nightwing who was chosen to be Batman by Batman.
@@nathannix3217there's also no reason to assume that the Batman and Robin/Nightwing of this universe are even remotely comparable in terms of skill and intelligence in comparison to their comic or animated counterparts meaning that this copium for defending the dog shit writing makes no sense but here you are doing it anyway.
@@Reseptics There’s no good reason for Batman to be able to pull that feat in the comics either, I never said it’s good writing I just pointed out the flaws in the logic that the original commenter had. Try using your brain instead of focusing on getting a “gotcha moment”.
I love how richard grayson fights the cops in the middle of an airport and none of the extras, not one, cares
they cancelled teen titans and we got this show and teen titans go.
but at least this show makes teen titans go looks like lord of the rings
HOLY MOTHER OF PEARL 💀
(Super boy yeets officer into decor)
Homelander: You are dark, and I kinda like it.
The dead topic universe is getting LORE
Boldest take this man made was calling Tang "Orange juice". 😂
It's kinda annoying how bad this show is, when they have famous and trusted comic book writers, they have writers/creatives who have worked on comic book shows I love like iZombie or DC Legends of Tomorrow. Ie people who work on silly/campy comedic shows never take themselves seriously. So It could been great. But Greg Berlanti and Co who's best understanding of a dark stoyline is Arrow had to force this "edginess" onto the series.
I feel like the writers for this show were the ones who voted to kill Jason back in the 80's or probably would have voted to do so
This is the Worst Season of Titans, No Exaggerating this ruins everything, instead of adding Teen Titans Lore and even Hive or Blackfire, they thought it was a Good idea to mix Batman Lore and Ruin Batman, Joker, Red Hood, Blackfire, and Scarecrow as well as the Teen Doing Nothing and Rose Wilson disappearing didn’t help at all and other Things I don’t feel like talking for how Dumb it is, 1 out of 10.
At leat in the animated movie under the redhood they used a very realistic dummy the twist in that wasn't an empty coffin but how the body didn't decay
That’s so much better
So… Jason‘s response to being treated badly by his friends (Apparently to the point where he was considering suicide) was to team up with the Scarecrow, attempt to kill the Joker, have the Joker kill him, then use the Lazarus Pit to resurrect him? Seems like a BIT of an overreaction.
Imagine if these little shits had to deal with the justice league animated universes Cadmas, Amanda Waller, galetao etc the titans would be screwed.
"Proceed to have sexual relationships with Bruce Wayne."
And this is how All-Stars Batman was born. An evil incest baby that wants attention by destroying the world.
When was that in that show?
@@naomithornhill2079Buck Fatman
So I watched this years ago and I thought "damn this Scarecrow is NOOOT doing it" and then I see the actor in Mad Men and he kills the role in every dang episode
I've discovered the actual writers notes for Red Hood, written after someone at WB took a hit from Snoop-crow's bong and skimmed the wikipedia-page for "A Death in the Family":
- Jason does something on his own
- jonkler or something
- jason dead
- actually no
- red power ranger i guess
- revenge (?)
Gotham Knights thankfully was cancelled in one season. Titans somehow got 4. Even though it looks like it hates pretty much every single DC character that they insert in the show and makes sure of giving a psycho moment to almost all of them. Also, his name was Joe Wilson, Jericho was his hero name. 1 minute in the wikipedia is all that you need to check that. Sorry, i dont know why but that little detail annoyed me during the entire of that season.
I love the "Stealing and killing is not the Titans way" bit. I might get that famous quote tatted on me
Those who said it's not bad bad drank the kool-aid.
Clicked that notification faster than a speeding bullet.
I got here accidentally, but I am a subscriber and a big fan of this channel lol
Never thought i'd use the CW as an example of good writing, but... At least the creators of Arrow and the Flash managed to remember what happened in previous seasons of their own show
I wouldn't call that good writing
I'd call that common sense
I loved the part were hawk said hawk tua and hawked all over the place
How is this show that bad? And we've only seen the first half?
I was worried for your sanity when you had to binge all the episodes of HGS so many times, but now I am thinking we need to call for a wellness check.
It seems like they knew that Barbara has used sticks to defend herself from muggers in the streets of Gotham, but they somehow mistook that for being able to fight off a professional assassin. Also, I think one of the bat family came in to help her to make sure she was okay in the comics, because they actually care about each other unlike the psycho characters in this show. Sure, even that might be pushing it, but it's far more credible than what the show's trying to depict.
26:21 Batman The Red Hood did this. Brice finds out the red hood's dna matched with Jason's and went to his grave. Found the "body" and immediately knows it's not Jason's. Then pushes the blame all on himself before looking for answers on how Jason was now alive
How many prefer Batfleck over Titans Bruce? 🖐️
Titans Bruce should have been Alfred.
Exactly
Bruce Wayne should have been Warren Christie
The show was terrible EXCEPT for Krypto. He was a very good boy.
He attacked a cop
I think the wheelchair fight could work fine if it was just extremely fast.
Assassin starts very cocky throws a kick or something then swifting gets their limb broken.
Fight over.
At least Gotham Knights was pure cheese, Titans is pure IBS
This is a Semi Homage to MK4 and MK9 as Cyrax is more Human than Machine
Didnt know that DC now owns Deadpool. Costume really looks bad.
You pathetically tried it😹 we all know thats ugly ssa red hood, Deadpool wouldn’t be caught regenerating wearing something like that. Dc sucks and so do dc faguettes
I personally still hate The Flash more just because of my history with it and for how laughably cringe it feels. But yeah, Titans Season 3 feels like Batman: Arkham Knight if it was actually bad. I controversially think the game has a great story, but my point stands either way.
Agreed. Unfortunately, a certain game’s story seems to be managing to fuck up the whole thing for everyone.

I love when the comments try to act all sophisticated and whatnot yet still have trouble with basic English. It's actually gotten scary how many people lack the awareness of how ignorant they truly are.

I love titans but even I can’t defend the inconsistancies it has
I don’t believe this is a real show lmao. Like did they actually hire writers???
I’m not going to watch it I’m just going to say its not real😂
It's always so funny when the idiot writes hate on batman but want you to find the phyco they write heroic
These writers are sociopaths 😂 it’s like they hired them off Reddit.
Titans was so bad DC wants you to forget it
To help get at your point for the Batman disappearing act. I myself was rewriting a scene for a game I loved and during the scene one guy who was staring at Batman turns his head around to hearing a voice thinking it was behind him before finding it to have been his radio. Answers the guy on the other end before turning t face Batman who has disappeared. I should have said it in the scene but he was hiding behind the alter. Aka the scene was playing out in a prison church. Or papel if that's what their called?
One feels like bad fanfiction. One feels like bad emo boy fanfiction. I refuse to elaborate which is which.
46:45 to 49:05 your friend making a cup of Orange Tang was more visually interesting than all of Titans.
59:39 to show that your not limited by being crippled
23:33 reminds me of one of bruces worst moments where nightwing confronts him in the comics and bruce admits why he replaced him, because he missed him
There is a reason in the comics, Barbara does not fight crime anymore after her paralysis. Seriously, that wheelchair fight scene... :D
This show Titans was terrible and full of bad writing and they did a very poor adaptation of the Red Hood storyline from the comics and a wannabe Arkham Knight, I stopped watching mid-season 3. I feel like The show had potential to be actually good or at least decent and redeem itself but it was wasted because the writers don't know and/or don't respect source material, they shouldn't have made the show overly edgy and taking itself too seriously too. The DCAMU Teen Titans movies and Under the Red Hood movie was better.
19:15 “I’m so angry.” Whispers Starfire, the character who’s supposed be extremely expressive with her emotions.
What the hell. These are not the Teen Titans. Starfire would never say that!
if your gonna hawk i’m gonna tuah😊

just because one is worse doesn't make other any better
Now i feel like drinking orange juice past midnight
The cringe dialog and plot twists from clips of the show uploaded to YT was good enough for me to write the show entirety.
31:48 scarecrow voice took me out 😂
The Barbara wheelchair fight scene isn't as bad as the one they did in Dr Who.
Yea
I genuinely have to ask "what's the damage" on the writers and execs behind this. Like, I am actually concerned about them as people.
Stuff like this is why I'm happy Disney is sitting on the live action tv rights for making a Batman live action show.
So glad I didn't watch this garbage
Go watch it. It’s not that bad
I did and still regret it
Oh my god, they made it: I thought seasons 1 and the parts of 2 i saw were bad, but they actually made it worse. It's so dumb it's actually brilliant.
Even if you cut out all the scenes where the Titans beat up and most likely kill cops, then they still would be hardly called heroes by anyone. Not the way they acted the rest of the time.
Let's call it the Underpants Gnomes-style of writing:
Step 1: The Titans are unlikable assholes
Step 2: ...
Step 3: They are real heroes
The Batman-storyline is actually great: Now we know why Dick truly believed Batman could snap one day like in the fantasy created by Trigon. It had nothing to do with the Joker murdering Gordon or so, it was because Bruce wasn't allowed to recruit more children.
"Goddamit, if i can't get a new Robin then Gotham will burn!"
I had a good time watching the action and costumes though. The people that made the costumes for Titans also worked on The Boys.
the kid playing jason, god bless him for trying, looked way too young to play jason in his mid 20s, while also being in his 20s
6:04 what The FUCK Was that fight?
These Hand Movement doesn't even have a Whiff of Impact! Is this how People see Fight Scenes?
I need to watch Black Belt Cop again, at least the fight scenes there are enjoyable to watch
WB/DC were right to not allow Titans to have Bruce be Batman.
I get the people writing this show really don't care, but at the very least, they could improve their skills at the same time as not caring.
Are you sure Zack Snyder wasn’t involved in this show?
The Scarecrow was insufferable. He reminded me of digibro. How did they manage to waste him so poorly? I was hoping superboy would go superboy prime and take over the plot so badly.
If I make a video inspired by this series I’m going to make sure to credit you with my initial idea to just rant about a dead topic that I have some random attachment to
Never watched this show, but it would be hilarious if Robin was portrayed as a tryhard edgelord that was intentionally cringe.
And every episode would have him saying "Fuck BLANK" trying to sound cool, but instead just sounding like a twelve year old whose parents wouldn't let him go to the party.
Only reason I watched season 3 is they said it’s in Gotham I waited the whole season for Batman
So, I guess turning Starfire black means that instead of being friendly and helpful she is constantly hateful, murderous and enraged? Great message there show...
I can’t wait for you to see the next season
This show might having something against cops. And orange super heroes. And characters with green skin but shitty neon green hair dye is fine in this universe. How did they get this approved past the pilot? Held at gunpoint?? Did the studio head get blackmailed with CP??? I just don't know who this is for and i really like the teen titans but I don't feel like the target demographic here lol
I dont know if this is the case in titans. but the lazarus pit does actually give jason some magical abilities. These tend to get lost in conversation though because he doesn't use them all that often and when he does it can be super subtle. Like in under the red hood theres a scene where he just jumps off a roof and lands on some scaffolding across the street. I doubt the writers thought about this but Jason randomly teleporting could have easily been made more sensible if they went this route
Cops killed is actually closer to 9+ at least, Jason killed 1 officer bare minimum, banister drop wouldve killed that guy, Starfire killed at least one of them, and superboy as you said killed 2-12 cops depending on if those are 2 or 4 officer seating cars
One hour in and that was literally just a chaos control 😂
I said before and I’ll say it again but that is not red hood in that show that is red toddler
