I added some washers between the hoop and the hoop arms and it doesn’t flag anymore! In lieu of needing to clamp every time. Super helpful video, man. Thanks!
That's a great idea! I think the people over at Mighty Hoops have a few variations of the arms, some which have a slight bend upward to avoid it, but washers is a super smart & easy way to fix it too!
On the Melco, I have it automatically upload to a shared folder that the computer connected to the Melco has access to. For other machines, you will need to use a USB drive to transfer the file from the computer to the embroidery machine.
The actual version is a Merrow stitch which is done on Merrow branded machines. They can be very expensive and only do one thing but they do it very well. To replicate it on the embroidery machine, I call it a faux or fake merrow edge since it's not really the same thing but looks very similar.
You can make a patch with two layers so if you only embroider the front then layer it and finish with the border, you will not see the stitches on the back!
Hi! I purchased this design from Fullerembroideryworks.com. Unfortunately, I don't have the professional version of DesignShop, so I am not sure but you might be able to reach out to Fuller Embroidery for help
@@DJGASAP I know Melco has a ton of webinars that you can join on Facebook and RUclips where they help answer questions like yours. They are called DesignShop Talk. Perhaps this may help. Best of luck!
Hi! I use 4 mil plastic sheeting from Home Depot but anything from 3.5 mil to 6 mil should work well. I go over the materials and have links in the description on my most recent video here: ruclips.net/video/5KrnnIbgj2c/видео.html
3:06 others call this a placement stitch. Sure glad I picked up on using clamps to dampen the hoop bounce. Nice idea.

Oh man the mighty hoops system is a game changer. Just makes hooping things so much quicker and easier. Thanks for watching!
Nice man! I'm buddies with Jeff Fuller, the creator of the Fuller border, I just sent this to him to watch.
That's awesome! Let him know I'm a big fan of his patch work files. They work beautifully
thanks for the video!

How do you attach an iron on backing if the back of the patch is plastic? That’s so much cheaper than stabilizers. Genius.
When you're done, just remove the plastic! It should be pretty easy to tear away, then you can add the iron-on backing directly to the fabric.
how did you create the faux merrow edge? where can I get the merrow edge stitch file?
In the description
Its from "fullerembroideryworks.com"
It's a pre-made file from Fuller Embroidery Works like Ace said. They do have a few different sizes and options as well!
Why am I not seeing any stitches on the back side
You can make a patch with two layers so if you only embroider the front then layer it and finish with the border, you will not see the stitches on the back!
What are the steps to create the marrow edges in design shop please?
