If anyone else has this problem at the end.. brother corhyn wasn’t at the capital of ash at the end for me he was still at the bridge in the mountaintops of the giants. Talk to him he’ll ask where goldmask could have gone. Go to Goldmask in the capital of ash get the mending rune. Reset at grace get goldmasks gear then go back to the mountaintop of giants bridge and you’ll receive brother corhyn’s items on the ground where he was previously.

Yeah I was looking for this comment. This guys guides are helpful but he always leaves something out. I missed. Scorpion charm from Sylevus last time I followed his guide without checking all options. I learned my lesson.
I am so glad I saved the potion for Cor. It made it so satisfying to see him like a lost puppy looking for his master as I stood behind him and R2 Charged my poisonous butcher knife behind him completely unaware that his whole world is already gone and time was about to leave him in less than 2 seconds. All while holding the mending rune of his master who is dead at my hands by burning the Erdtree. Ultimately knowing full well that I obtained the mending rune specifically to ensure it will never be used. Invalidating the faith of both. Just as I had already invalidated and quelled the Frenzied flame.
If you have the potion of forgetfulness, you can give it to Corhyn in the snow area Edit: it ends his quest line there and he stays at the mountaintops
@@CC-st7ob You can get the armor set still and the rune for the ending. However, Corhyn will stay in the mountains I beleive. And you can get the mask anytime, its not related to the quest.

I wanna mention that law of regression is not only great for the quest but the spell will heal any ailment from blight to scarlet rot, definitely something to grab even if you don't plan on doing the quest.
@@sarimveesar4350yeah law of regression is better just because it does EVERYTHING so you can just toss it in your spells and leave it there pretty much indefinitely with a way to cure it all. Only issue is be aware it will remove buffs too, i assume not great runes but not positive
Worth noting for those who dont feel like getting the medallion pieces that you can reach Altus Plateau without the medallion if you go through the ravine-veiled village and ruin-strewn precipice.
If you can't find Corhyn in the Capital of Ash after defeating Maliketh, he's then likely still in the same spot on the bridge near Stargazer's Ruins in Mountaintop of Giants (it was so for me) - And I'm quite sure it turns out that way in the quest is, if you've offered him Tonic of forgetfulness at any point it triggers him staying there, even if he didn't accept it.

For anyone unable to find corhyn in the capital of ash for me he was still at the snowy bridge for some reason (gold mask was by the tree as normal) and dropped his bell bearing and clothes there. It’s possible this is because I accepted the frenzied flame but I’m not sure

So I don’t know why but after finding cohryn at his first location in Altus I just talked to him and left, later in the game (after lighting the forge of the giants) I go back to his location in Altus and his bell bearing and cloak are just there. I don’t know how he died but this prevented the continuation of the quest line because at goldmasks original location he is not there even tho it marks on the map and I can’t talk to him.
It's because you lit the forge. This locks you out of some quests and items you can pick up like the goldmask set and bolt of gransax. Now you have to wait til new game plus to do them again.
Thank you! I watched another video trying to get to Goldmask, and they had me going up and falling off a bridge. They survived, I did not. I worried I would be unable to get to Goldmask until I found this video. Lifesaver
For anybody who offered Corhyn the tonic of forgetfulness, he WON'T SHOW UP in ashen capital. Goldmask's corpse/rune will still be there, but Corhyn will be at the same spot in Mountaintop of the Giants where you spoke to him, on the bridge. He will be all confused asking where his master is. Reload the area and his stuff will be on the ground. Great video as always!
If you still got the tonic from rya questline you can offer it to Corhyn at the Bridge in snowy area. He refuses it and some additional dialogue happens. Not sure what next though, haven’t progressed further.
Other videos showed brother Corhyn was at the same show bridge at the end of the quest but he wasn’t there for me I watched 3 videos before you showed where he actually went. Thank you

I casually progressed through the story without doing this quest and eventually found choryn's bell bearings at the round table. Is there any way to find gold mask from here on my own and do the quest line? Also, can I still acquire the lightning defense spell? Because the bearing did not supply that incantation
Hey Shatter. Thanks for this breakdown of the questline. Unfortunately for me, before I heard of this quest, I'd killed Goldmask. I saw a figure on the bridge and ranged killed. I'm guessing that locks me out of this possible ending.
I have cast the spell to reveal the “Radigan is Merica” message in the capital, and rested at Grace, returned to see gold mask, but I’m not able to deliver him the message, and cannot move forward with the quest line.

well, i did something that was not mentioned in your video and i want to share it. in the mountaintops of the giants it gave me the choice to give Corhyn the forgetfulness potion given to me by lady tanith, and when i was back in leyndell capital of ash, Corhyn was no where to be found. as for gold mask (my poor master 😥), he was in the same place dead. thanks for your videos, they are amaizing.
After I defeated god skin duo, I went back for his quest line and Corhyn is gone. he left his bell bearing at altus map pillar. And now I cannot find Gold mask anywhere I’ve checked all of his possible locations. 😢
For me he left his bell bearing at the broken bridge, I have tried to progress as closely as possible w the step, yet to best that last boss required, so unsure if I can still complete this quest :/
@@ItsShatterI’ve heard so many times that it is allegedly fully completeable as long as you progress it to the point of talking to them in leynedell the first time. But I wouldn’t be shocked if that’s inconsistent, probably should just do it all if you can

I'm having an interesting conundrum where Corhyn died at the Altus map location. I had Goldmask at the Broken Greatbridge, but didn't use Law of Regression on the statue until after I beat the Fire Giant. The map Icon for Goldmask is still on the bridge, but he's nowhere to be found.
Seriously he attacked me after one of those huge dudes attacked me and hit him by accident so I had to kill him and was depressed. I needed this comment. 😄

I’ll get the Frenzied Flame for power then subdue it with the needle and then still be able to get the Age of Order ending. All part of the master plan. Thx

What if I forgot about this questline, and tried to find Corhyn, but I only found his sphere and weapon and set? I assume i can't get this ending anymore
as a note you don't need to defeat Godwin's golden visage to reach the colosseum. The grace before and nearby, if you fight/run past the golem and 3 white trumpeters you can get to the roots that get you there
Is it mandatory to get the dectus medallion before starting the quest? Or could I just skip from Raya Lucaria to Volcano Manors subterranean inquisition chamber to get to Altus Plateu?

The mask can be picked up at any time once you've made it to the area, just like the wolf head in 3 sisters.
If you didn't use the tonic of forgetfulness on Rya it gives you the option to use it on Corhyn at stargazers' ruins.

It requires 12 faith only and does the same thing.

it's also an "interupt" spell, can stop a boss casting effects... love this incantation 😊

You can get to the lift by traveling through the water ravine. It has a ramp that surfaces under the church of vows

You can give the memory loss potion to the priest. Haven’t seen what happens after, but you can give it to him in the land of the giants.
He won't take the potion when you offer it to him. He says he doesn't want to forget he truth they've learned.
This is the first game I can ever say there is to much. I feel like I'm missing or juggling 20 different quest lines at once with such a big map!
Check out the “All Quests in Order + Other Missable Content” I made it exactly for this reason!
Hey Shatter. Thanks for this breakdown of the questline. Unfortunately for me, before I heard of this quest, I'd killed Goldmask. I saw a figure on the bridge and ranged killed. I'm guessing that locks me out of this possible ending.
Actually, it doesn’t. Saw someone else kill him on stream, rest then Return and he was there again… 😉👍

I have cast the spell to reveal the “Radigan is Merica” message in the capital, and rested at Grace, returned to see gold mask, but I’m not able to deliver him the message, and cannot move forward with the quest line.
I’m having the same issue were you able to find a solution?

well, i did something that was not mentioned in your video and i want to share it.
in the mountaintops of the giants it gave me the choice to give Corhyn the forgetfulness potion given to me by lady tanith, and when i was back in leyndell capital of ash, Corhyn was no where to be found.
as for gold mask (my poor master 😥), he was in the same place dead.

You'll find Corhyn at his previous location, in the Mountaintops near Stargazer Ruins.

After I defeated god skin duo, I went back for his quest line and Corhyn is gone. he left his bell bearing at altus map pillar. And now I cannot find Gold mask anywhere I’ve checked all of his possible locations. 😢
Unfortunately you may have to wait until NG+. I think you have to do this Questline before going to crumbling farum azula
For me he left his bell bearing at the broken bridge, I have tried to progress as closely as possible w the step, yet to best that last boss required, so unsure if I can still complete this quest :/
@@ItsShatterI’ve heard so many times that it is allegedly fully completeable as long as you progress it to the point of talking to them in leynedell the first time. But I wouldn’t be shocked if that’s inconsistent, probably should just do it all if you can
Great guide! Got me all the way through. It makes no sense to me why Gold Mask's mask would be located where it is way a way when he's still wearing it on death

This is the last ending i need for the platinum. Never thought id be able to say that for any souls game. Elden Ring is a masterpiece.
Do you get locked into this ending or can you do this quest and still do a different ending
im pretty sure you can still do other endings if you finish this quest
@@thatloganjacksonyes I believe that no quest locks you into any ending. That the quests just unlock the option to end the game that way

I'm having an interesting conundrum where Corhyn died at the Altus map location. I had Goldmask at the Broken Greatbridge, but didn't use Law of Regression on the statue until after I beat the Fire Giant. The map Icon for Goldmask is still on the bridge, but he's nowhere to be found.
Content was great but I subbed for the cat. Fr tho great guides man, their appreciated.
Corhyn died for some reason.
I got to the part before the giant, and the mask was on the bridge where you said it would be. I’m going straight there next play through.
6:30 If you go to goldmask before Corhyn, Corhyn will disappears and you can't get his robe and bell bearing🙁

You still have to use the law of regression on the statue. Without completing that step nothing else will matter.
If you give Corhyn the ''Tonic of Forgetfulness'' he won't be there anymore, but you can still complete do the Goldmask ending
I got the helm pretty early on.. without doing this quest at all.

Corhyn hasn't died but never appeared in the city of ash so I missed his armor and bell bearing, anyone else? I got the rune so that's good I guess.
maybe he's still at the bridge near the stagazer's ruins. Did you try to give him the potion of forgetfulness?

@@DJ-fw7mi yeah he didn’t.. but I’m seeing a trend that players who try to give corhyn the potion make him stay at the bridge. Could you have talked to him or did he just die anyways?
@@ItsShatter you get some small dialogue. He asks where did his master go. Reload and you'll find his goods on the bridge.

I have a question and I know it’s late but…can you still complete this quest after you accepted the Frenzied Flame?
Should be able to yes. You will run into issues if you burned the erdtree already.
@@ItsShatter ah ok thanks. I haven’t burned it yet. This is my 3rd playthrough on my main character. And I wanted this to be his canon playthrough. I’ll get the Frenzied Flame for power then subdue it with the needle and then still be able to get the Age of Order ending. All part of the master plan.

You can actually give the tonic of forget to cohrin in the mountaintops and you will get a different ending

What if I forgot about this questline, and tried to find Corhyn, but I only found his sphere and weapon and set? I assume i can't get this ending anymore
as a note you don't need to defeat Godwin's golden visage to reach the colosseum. The grace before and nearby, if you fight/run past the golem and 3 white trumpeters you can get to the roots that get you there

Is it mandatory to get the dectus medallion before starting the quest? Or could I just skip from Raya Lucaria to Volcano Manors subterranean inquisition chamber to get to Altus Plateu?

You must tell Goldmask about what you learned/about Radagon in order to complete his quest
