I love how you have a photograph of Annie in the background - like someone having a formal portrait of the Queen in their office! Stunning project, Jonathon - thank you! 💚🤎
I can not WAIT to use this process on several large plastic containers I have repurposed as planters. When living on a farm, we made available to the cattle salts and minerals from huge, heavy, hideous, garishly green tubs, which I have repurposed as planters, and misted with paint designed for plastics. However, your technique is MUCH more appealing in appearance, and I intend to paint some with the bronze and others with the "rust" so they will better blend into my landscape. Thank you for your careful and clear instruction
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT ❤️❤️Them 👍👏 Can’t Wait to buy some cheap plastic urns ! Thank You So Much Jonathon Just ❤️❤️ Watching you So Much 👍Can’t Wait For Your Next Project! Have an Awesome Day 🤗
Absolutely love this project. I am in need of a pair of pots at the entrance to my shop and think this is the way to go. I'm a newbie, but you make it seem attainable...even for me!
JMM--- Genius !! ... looks SO good -- just up-scales a " poor little pot " to a garden gem ! You are so patience & calm in your teaching .. thank you for that .. It helps we newbies be brave & ready to give it a go ! Beautiful gardening season is starting & a couple glamorous urns with a royalty palm or bird of paradise towering over cascading white ruffles ...👍
Kai thank you so much for taking your time to write this lovely message I really appreciate it and I suppose the way that I teach is the way that I like to learn myself I’m such a visual learner and I think it’s important to try and get that across in these videos so thank you so much for the positive message it really does make my heart sing happy painting 😊🙏❤️
Your vídeos are fantastic. I just subbed, and as I did I noticed how many subscribers you have. How is it possible that you don't have like 10 times more followers??? Seriously... how???
You would never ever know that they started life as plain plastic pots! What a fabulous transformation, they look amazing. Thank you so much for showing us how to achieve this look, I love how you explain your steps and make it look so easy. They are perfect 💕
Love them! I’ve tried the metal effects patina, but this looks wonderful. I did do a small clock with the salt wash and similar colors, not sure it’s everyone’s cup of tea, but I really love it. 💚💙 They look stunning at your front entrance. xx
These urns look so beautifully aged and majestic. You are such a pleasure to watch and I find your instructions incredibly relaxing. Thank you for the videos and inspiration!
Wonderful work. Thank you. Could I ask please Jonathon what that lovely old fashioned colour is behind you on the walls? It looks very like an old fashioned french style green maybe?
Hello, I am new to this, although I was doing wax over drawers about 15 yrs ago. I imagine where I would be now if I had kept going at the time. Question. I would like to get started now, my question is what colours are must haves and which are wants for the added bits. Hard question I realise but my love is blue greens maroons and pinks, and purples. I think I have answered myself. Anyway any insight would be appreciated. Love frottage, I don’t have antique furniture which is again a different look. Love watching you, I am right there. From New Zealand
This looks amazing! I don’t have chalk paint . And don’t have the money to buy all new paint . I do have some acrylic paints of many colors. Could I use that ? And can I use sugar instead of salt ? Thank you ❤
I love Verdigris. I do alot of faux verdigris and it sells quickly in my booth. I use a little copper . I have a mini Grecian urn and I'm going to try your way. Thank you for the inspiration.
I realy love it! I am tempted to try this with totally different colours that have nothing to do with metal patina imitation as well. F ex. different shades of pink, yellow, orange on olive green or stone grey. Question: if you don't seal it at all and put it outside, would not the rain eventually wash it all down with time? Or is it different with the saltwash in the paint? And another question: when you are layering with imultiple tones, like the piece on your wall, do you intbetween ever go back and forth with the base colour as well as with the patina colours or do you realy use that brown mixture only for the very first layer?
Wow wow wow I’ll take that thank you so very much that is one of the best compliments I’ve had in a long while to be fair I get fed up of the sound of my own voice so thank you very much 🤪🤣
Im new to your page, and wish i wouldve seen this sooner. I did an entire hutch with a similar look, and it took forever, but looks great and sold! Nice to see another male😂
What a beautiful finish Jonathan!!! I love it!! I did a plastic pot in a similar fashion but only used white and black to mimic stone….will definitely try these kinds of colours on other pots very soon!!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful creativity!! 👏🏻😻❤️💃🏼
Great tutorial but that painting!! She’s beautiful, did you paint her? I love it. What a stunning canvas to have in your studio. ❤️❤️ Got to the end. You made lovely art using your method. I’ll give it a go! Thx
It was in the background of the video where you used gifted Magic Paint for the Faded chateau look with the faux antiqued mirror (Oct '21) it was just a simple 2 drawer with no moulding detail.
Ha ha I know exactly what you’re talking about I don’t fortunately it had no paint on it this was the manufacturing finish it was kind of a soft peachy Faux Would affect with a lime wash over the top
Hi. Just subcsribed recently and loving the tutorials and inspired to dabble with chalk paint and paint effects so welcome your guidance. @@JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove I LOVE my Saltwash! Making sure I’m not missing out on all the ways to use it!
Will this work on a large cast iron urn that sits in the elements ?
Sorry to bother you one more time Jonathan but wondering what copper paint you might recommend please? I’m having some difficulty locating some.
Try posh chalk they have some pigments that you can mix together they’re lovely
@@JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove thank you!
I’m wondering if you used this same technique on your art piece in the background ?
Yes very similar just a few different colours added and a secret ingredient are used glue and cinnamon to create the rust 😊😊
Génial
Great tutorial but that painting!! She’s beautiful, did you paint her? I love it. What a stunning canvas to have in your studio. ❤️❤️
Got to the end. You made lovely art using your method. I’ll give it a go! Thx
Hi there thank you I’m not quite sure which painting so I can’t answer the question🥴
Could I do it with stone or clay?????
Excellent, they look fabulous!
Have you ever tried baking powder to give a textured finish, Jonathan?
Yes I have on smaller projects it’s wonderful and very wet paint 🏆
@@JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove Thank you very much. I love the way you explain everything you do, so well.
