    I was secretly watching this at work and the sonicator's sound made me throw my headphones. My boss scolded me and I blame you.

    Thank you! I've been waiting for this one. Got my first blue a while back and I need to clean it before I use it as it's really sticky. Awesome as always!

    As clarification for people who don't have multiple alps boards to compare between (like me): How would I know when the point is reached where cleaning the sliders does "more good than harm", even if they have lube applied to them? Are the dark deposits a sign they've been so severely used it's worth it?

    I just scored a NAN TAN mechanical keyboard : KB-6451EA
    with complicated white alps. keys very scratchy and some don't register. I think I am in for some restoration work and some deep cleaning. thats for this great series.

    Lord Chyros, can similar techniques be applied to mid-late 90's era alps.tw switches or similar?

    • @Chyrosran22
      @Chyrosran22  5 лет назад

      Yes, but Alps clones are more difficult to reassemble.

    I thought you said don't mix the inner parts as they were together for many years, but you washed the stems altogether here... is that still good?

      Yes, but sonicating one by one would take ages

      @@yogalD It is a lubricant. WD40 leaves behind a trace of mineral oil. WD40 Silicone leaves behind some silicone oil similarly. Of course both are mostly solvent.

    Next time, can you dub the sound to the background? I can't hear a thing you said. It immediately made me close the window. I just came back cause it pissed me off so much I had to comment. I understood about 3 words before it was unbearable. Next time, as a guy with over 100k subs, please do your viewers a favor and dub your voice over the sound, or get rid of it completely. I understand some people want to listen to it or know what a ultra sonic cleaner sounds like. But after a few seconds, please turn it down, or put your voice over it, or even speak after it's done cleaning. It's unbearable to listen to and when you have to speak over it, it's impossible to understand. (Yes I know some trolls will say they can hear you just fine, but I cant).
