Hi, I'll reply to the comments in the morning (it's 00.15am for me), because I have a fever, freezing shivers andy head is spinning like crazy. Still, I hope you'll like the video!!!
Oh man, I hope you feel better soon! Thanks for the shoutout and mentioning the Mavuika bangle and lost tribe, it kept driving me nuts that nobody was talking about it :) I CANNOT WAIT FOR YOUR PAIMON VIDEO!! You have quickly become my favorite lore/TC youtuber, especially when others (not gonna mention names) fly off tangents and get very convoluted, while others have kinda grown tired of Genshin. Never stop cooking man, you always serve!!
Bro, I was so excited when your theory about Capitano was right! Still sad that Cap's gone, but at least he has enough parallels to undead kings from other games and media to have a chance at coming back someday. (Cough cough, the Lich King)
@@catdownthestreet Gone? Go visit La Signora. Now go visit El Capitano. Who is TRULY "gone"?? (No, I'm NOT talking about revisiting the Ley Lines to fight her Past Self). I'm excited to see Venti in the game´s story again, I hope that he will be voiced in english, not muted like in that little event quest with bard in Mondstadt ( Repertoire of Myriad Melodies)
@@evilsatorii yeah, it would be nice to see him, but he's definitely going to be mute... I fear hoyo will get tired and either hire new actors or remove the language entirely...
@@ShadowXImpact Haven't they found a new voice acting agency tho? I heard they're just in the process of moving people over to the new agency. Even Razor's voice actor is back to voice acting in genshin when he was voicing Mausau in Mavuika's story quest. Of course, what I heard could've just been wrong, but it's all the info I have. lol
The other interesting thing, is if the doctor DOES burn irmunsul, then the night kingdom itself will be the only "data centre" keeping things going.(except the loom of fate if that gets fully achieved) It will last in perpetuity, until ronova (or somebody else) releases the curse. My theory about forbidden knowledge is that it's a separate power from the abyss, even if it was found in the depths of the abyss. It's colour is "red" not the abyssal's violet. We already know that the crimson moon dynasty was using this power, the eclipse dynasty used whatever power dain wields. Then the sinner's acquired the "violet" powers of the abyss which caused the cataclysm. The sustainer of course wields this 'red' power either from ronova or from some source beyond her. Just like most power it's not good or evil, it's how the power is applied.
I have the exact same thought process as you, forbidden knowledge is probably the "juice" that you can get from the Abyss by extracting it from the mess of code that is the Abyss, that's why you need some tolerance to the Abyss to get it, you're literally making sence out of broken code, that takes time so you have to like... resist the corruption while you "search" for it.
@@Necrochaosium I've always believed that forbidden knowledge to be something different from the abyss, but Nahida just said in the new voice lines that I showed in the video, that forbidden knowledge is a manifestation of the abyss just like Gosoythoth
My personal hope is that since the next area in natlan will probably be the volcano of tollan, hopefully we'll learn more about xiuhcoatl, i think we might even meet a reincarnation of him either in a new human form or as his traditional dragon self. My belief stems from that hoyo seems to go out of their way, not to mention him it probably wont happen though atleast not yet.
Xbalanque being the third descender is an interesting theory, but I highly doubt that he actually is for one just because the third descenders remains are referred to as ashes does it mean it’s a direct connection to xbalanque I’m pretty sure it just emphasizes that the third defender lost in the battle against the heavenly principles which shows a direct connection to natlans rules plus apep herself refers to this as well in nahidas second story request, saying that the winners will earn their right to shake the world while the losers turn to Ashe so I think it’s a parallel to what she said or is just a metaphor of winning or losing a battle another thing is that even if xbalanque is from beyond this world, it does not mean that he is a direct descender and if I’m going to be honest, it’s a bit underwhelming for him to even be a third descender especially since you really have to know the lore to understand it I think it makes sense if he’s some type of primordial human with a will of a god but not a descender plus he was the pyro archon which means he held the gnosis and the result of the third descender being on teyvat led to the archon war it just doesn’t align well with the pre-existing lore that we got Also the mare javari being the lost anemo tribe makes so much sense with what we know from its connection to Mondstadt also this is just my crack theory but if their is an anemo tribe and each natlan character is associated with a tribe I wonder is skirk could be from natlan like I know there’s not much evidence but it’s a cool thought to have
9:58 Quick note; it has been confirmed that the CN version didn't say Xilonen must've payed with her "life", but a part of her "life force" instead. Considering that Xilonen is in charge of forging Ancient Names, and every single one takes a bit of her life force, I think that sorta explains why she's always so tired (besides her having feline traits). Also, I'm pretty sure that "Tumaini"'s item description tells lies from the Abyss; the same stuff Gosoythoth spewed to the Natlanese, which would make sense given that "Tumaini" came from the bottom of the Night Kingdom, presumably a place closer to Teyvat's outer shell and thus more exposed to the Abyss. About the Night Kingdom and the Irminsul, I personally always understood it as there being a small connection, but weak and severely limited, kinda like a Firewall that prevent stuff from Natlan to going into the Irminsul, but allowed the Irminsul to send information to Natlan. Which would solve the issue with Irminsul tempering for Natlan, and also tracks with the Seven Nations being built right as Teyvat was reshaped and created by Phanes, which I understand as the reason why each region is its own independent thing, despite the Archons who rule over each of them being relatively recent in history. Each region of Teyvat is "separated" from eachother to some degree, with special qualities adjusted for each of the Seven Elements; be that for the reason it may. But knowing that each Sovereign had a different "form", more primordial and such before the War of Creation, I think it's one of proto-Teyvat's/Teyvat's "absolute rules" (just like the reason why the Sovereings reincarnate in the first place); that each element is to compass a different size of the planet without interfering with the others to keep the planet balanced, as they literally are the pillars of existence in Teyvat. 18:18 Which reminded me of the World Serpent, Kevin Kaslana, who sought to get "rid of" the Honkai by plunging humanity into a forced stated of evolution via the STIGMA, which allowed humans to safely resist and use the Honkai; all to save humanity, despite his plan (from what I know) needing the sacrifice of 90% of all humans alive on Earth. 18:24 LMAOOOOOOOOOO 20:18 I wholeheartedly agree with that. Especially because I've always thought that the Heavenly Principles is, if not a completely different being from the Primordial One, a "corrupted" or "merged conciousness" consisting of the Primordial One and the Second Who Came/One Who Came After, somewhat like Yohualtecuhtin's and Capitano's merge; both absolute gods were nigh destroyed but still wanted to hold absolute authority, so they came to a compromise to merge into a single being, which may also explain why the Shades no longer seem to owe any sort of loyalty to the Primordial One if it was the Heavenly Principles under a "safe name" (not forbidden knowledge to Teyvat), as the Primordial One, androginous as it was, separated itself into Five, with Four being female Shades of the now Shining Himself, which, after the merge, made the Shades no longer be attached as part of the original being, both liberating them as well as turning them against the newly formed Heavenly Principles in a slow-burn way, as they wouldn't have the strenght necessary to battle it. 21:00 The paradox did not went through. The deal was a "death of equal value to Mavuika's life", which of course included Mavuika's life and also Capitano's, but the "small print" also included an amount of souls that, in whole, equaled to that price, which it was expressed to be equal to Natlan's current population, and is safe to assume Capitano carried within him. So when he merged with Yohualtecuhtin, all the souls he carried that went to the Night Kingdom were probably way more than enough to repay the debt for the use of Ronova's power, without either ending the Curse on Capitano nor letting the paradox happen.
This was a treat, I like it!! Something I would like to point out about Irminsul, the night Kingdom and the Loom of fate who all seems to be data collections/centers that cannot negate or override one of the other. What if it the same for Inazuma? After all, Makoto said that The Sacred Sakura Ei planted freed Inazuma from the clutch of the Heavenly Principles. Shes obviously talking about Fate no!? Then if the Sacred Sakura freed Inazuma from Fate doesnt that makes it Inazuma's personal loom of fate/Night Kindom/Irminsul/data center ? Just a thought. Ronova was present in Inazuma lore after all (In tsurumi)... and I always wondered who could be the "she" that gave a Kapatcir her original name as she seems older than Dvalin and Azdaha. If what she says is to be believed
fwiw, we saw Ronova make the new rules back in the day. She had to take Capt because she left a loophole she thought no good heroic person would take. She said the user of her power /or/ countless souls would have to die. Mavuika, Capt, and the LotN all agreed to take option 2. As Capt had "countless" souls available, that made him a valid option 2. Can't really blame Ronova for not seeing that one coming. edit: Also, she didn't allow the paradox, that is sort of the whole point. If she took his death, and the souls with him, she would have. But she didn't. She let the immortality stand. He joined with and made the LotN immortal, rewrote the rules of the NK, and he and the already dead people with him went to the NK. She did not get her death payment. (though i would argue that is splitting hairs as tons of dead people just popped up in the night kingdom lol)
@@rajaalkaram4315 when Ronova made the rules, she said that she would take the life of whoever decides to use her powers. This Archon must not fear death, otherwise she would have taken as many innocent lives as she saw fit. Mavuika didn't fear death, so Ronova had no reason to take Capitano's life. Also, she allowed the paradox. She accepted his "death" as payment for Mavuika's debt, but the curse of immortality prevents him to die. That's the whole point of the paradox, he's basically dying without being able to die, se he will be forever dead and alive at the same time, hence the paradox
@@ShadowXImpact I am going to have to disagree here. She said if you can't overcome your fear, ie accept death, then she will take the other lives. Mavuika was ready to face her death, but once she agreed to allow Capitano to take her place she also withdrew her willingness to die. Mavuika could have turned Capitano down and still died, but she didn't because he provided her with a better solution for all of Natlan. She absolutely did not allow the paradox. The paradox would undo, more than likely, the fabric of the rules that write reality for the game. He was allowed to sacrifice his immortal life to the LotN, but not to die as the immortality must stand. She did not get her death, she got a "death." To you that distinction may not matter, but it prevented a paradox, caused the Shade of Death to choose immortality over death, and fixed the Natlan ley line issue, so to me it matters.
@@rajaalkaram4315 allowing Capitano to take her place, doesn't mean that she didn't want to die anymore, and even in that case, she would have to fear her death, which she obviously didn't. It's clear you didn't really understand the ending there. He became part of the night kingdom 'just like a dead person) but he can't die, that is the paradox. I mean, it is made so clear, I honestly don't understand why people think there's no paradox, if that the whole point of his revenge...
@@ShadowXImpact As for the first part, I really do think by "conquer their fear" Ronova meant to willingly die, not just to not be afraid of it. But either way gets to the same point in the end, she left the "countless innocent lives" loophole in and they took it. From the travel log: To sustain the curse of immortality, the Ruler of Death relinquishes her demand for the price of "death." The Captain thus fulfills his final wish, guiding countless souls back to the Night Kingdom... Seems I understood the quest, though I do agree that could have been made more clear in the game proper and not just in the part we use to look back on things.
I don't believe that Xbalanque created the Thousand Blazing Suns; if he had, it would have been silly for him to leave it somewhere basically inaccessible to every pyro archon unless they had the support of a Descender. I'm like 95% positive that while he left behind the primal flame needed to create it, it was the Traveler's power as a Descender - Reason - that manifested the sword as a usable weapon. It's basically another Holy Blade of Narcissenkreuz created through the combined wills of the Traveler and Mavuika.
@@sweatygoblin2335 I don't know... I mean, everything Xbalanque did, aimed at this specific moment when the abyss would have been defeated once and for all, so that weapon was probably gathering power since the beginning until the right time arrived. I mean, it says something like it was waiting for the thousand sun to be used, right?
great vid! ur Xbalanque theory is def plausible even if i don't rly believe it and by that i mean that i don't agree or disagree, just acknowledge that it's def possible to happen. especially cuz it's mentioned how Waxaklahun Ubah Kan couldn't predict his arrival or actions and that he was "unexpected", sounds just like Rene saying that he couldn't predict Traveler and that Traveler was an unknown external variable in his world formula also how we got new info about the Third Descender in each region since Sumeru. Sumeru revealed info about Descenders, Fontaine revealed that Gnosis are remains of third Descender and i was expecting to get a reveal about third Descender's identity in Natlan but it didn't happen so i wonder...if they were cheeky with it and Xbalanque is one that's why i can see it happening and wouldn't be surprised if it did, it's just that i personally don't have faith in it purely by vibes and cuz my prev theory was that third Descender was original Ajax(not Childe)
apparently the part where Xilonen was supposed to die was a mistranslation issue. Hoyo is currently firing a lot of EN translators in favor of AI especially because of the amount of of mistranslations in the Natlan Archon quests. The original intended translation was that Mavuika was supposed to pay a price for using Ronovas power, not that she herself had to die. Xilonen would just have her life force decreased when forging the Travelers ancient name, she isn't destined to die because of it. l

One correction about Dottore: I believe he is there. His subordinates were infiltrating Natlan during the Moon incident (as you mentioned: Mavuika says this herself)..... But why am I sure he's there?: Theres an NPC in green at the memorial. He has Dottore's voice - and what he said sounded like something someone other than a nobody NPC would say: NPC "Huamanga"- "I knew about the Captain's immense strength, but never expected him to have such a strong sense of honor. No matter how prejudiced I may have been in the past, he now has my utmost respect." That sounds like Il Dottore to me. A lot of people seem to also forget something that was shown in that flashback where he killed Niwa: He can shape shift. I'm not saying Columbina WOULDN'T come to get it. But Dottore was that NPC - if it was just his VA and not those words I might not think that. But with the voice, the content of his words (the fact that he's standing near Ororon & a fatui agent who was mourning the captain) and the fact that he can change his appearance at will, I'm sure Huamanga IS DOTORE- I don’t even like that harbinger (or most harbingers). So I don't personally care if he's there or not. Though it would be interesting that he is- also that "testing" site, the one not far from the moon fragment in the ground, in the south/east of Natlan. Capitano didn’t seem the sort to do that to saurians. However its not beyond Dottore's past abilities.
@@windeen did he really sound like Dottore? I remember about him, because it made no sense what he said. The Fatui in Natlan are Capitano's subordinates, so why would one of them not respect his own leader? I just remember him having a very deep voice. Of all the Harbingers, the one I wouldn't want to see again, is Dottore....
@ShadowXImpact Yeah, it was his VA - no doubt about it. But I didn't mean that fatui agent, it was for a nobody Natlan NPC dressed in green who was standing between Mavuika & that agent and Ororon - it was NOT that Fatuus agent. If it was the fatuus I would not have thought much of it. A Natlan NPC saying THAT, in Dottore's voice was what got me. Aside from that, Mavuika said Dottore's people entered the nation. So we know some of his people are there - some might have entered with the captain's people, as well (before she punched a hole in the sky). Hes been stated to be interested in the moon pieces in the sky. And there's one under ground near that fatui place tormenting the saurians. As for all of the fatui in natlan being connected to Capitano - he doesn't seem to be the sort to torture saurians. But there's a base in south east natlan (not far from where that moon-like thing was found underground in that one wish world quest). Capitano doesn't seem like the type to hurt saurians like that. Also, it's hinted in flower feather clan's tribal quest. And in Citlali's tribal quest - that harbingers other than Capitano are active in Natlan. I won't say which one, but Dottore is implicated in one, and a 3rd harbinger is STATED to have been affiliated to the other (I'm trying to be vague since I don't know if you played those tribal quests). But that Natlan NPC (NOT the fatui agent) saying what he did about Capitano, with Dottore's voice made me sit up and pay attention.... (I HATED the 5.3 AQ. It was almost as bad as Inazuma in my opinion. So I was really fuming for almost an hour by the time we got to the memorial). Anyway- I suggest you should try to see how Dottore sounded, then listen to that NPC's voice. His voice is unique and distinct. That was done deliberately. I don't care about Dottore normally. Other people have noticed it was his VA but they have said that wasn't sus for a NOBODY NATLAN NPC to say. Wasn't AT ALL sus to them. But those same people have told me that Dottore CAN'T change his appearance like he was SHOWN to do, when he killed Niwa. But yeah, I'm absilutely SURE that NPC was a disguised IL Dottore. Now, it's possible that he was JUST there to honor his captain.... but Dottore runs Nod-Krai, and we are going there next. If Dottore were to take the gnosis we might go after him, to get it back, and then we might run into Columbina- there was some connection between them in the Winter night's video where they were "mourning" Signora. Anyway, you should look (when your feeling better, how's your fever?) into it, because it might be helpful to your theories, if you find that it is sus, as well. Hope you feel better soon. .

I'm so mad about it!
I've been thinking that the lost tribe left because their wayob was destroyed, or otherwise severed from the night kingdom by the abyss (or maybe a celestial nail?) and thus they were no longer linked to the night kingdom. While they couldnt return there anymore, this also left them free to leave without the mental affects most from Natlan would otherwise experience. Their tribe originating in Mare Jivari makes a lot of sense, I hadn't put those pieces together but it works. This was the video I was waiting for. Okay, about a few things I have to clarify, the thing about Xilonen dying for forging the name of the traveler, was poorly translated, in reality what is implied is that his lifespan would be much shorter than normal. Now about Ronova and Ixbalaque, this topic of him being the 3rd descended and that the Gnosis are his body is interesting, however, there is something that doesn't quite fit with me, and that is when Skirk talks to Neuvillette she comments that the Gnosis are cursed because being the remnants of someone, when a person dies the only thing they leave behind are curses, which I find strange because it would mean that Ixbalanque's death was not so voluntary, or perhaps his body contained some kind of abysmal corruption, giving it that aura that Skirk mentioned.
@@yairiscapellan4874 yeah, I've heard about Xilonen, and I also heard something awful about it too... Anyway, Skirk also says that all she knows is what Surtalogi told her, so she's not quite sure about what she's saying about the third descender. I guess we'll see!
Great video, Xbalanque being a third decender would be really cool I hope it is true 👀 Also, why are Natlan people able to travel now, not because night kingdom connected to ley lines of the rest of Teyvat after Capitano sacrifice? And do you think Mare Jivari will be a special region like Chasm and Enkanomiya?
@@listvg thank you! So the people can leave now, because Capitano's curse turned the lord of the night into an immortal, all powerful being, so she can easily extend her protection to anyone who leaves. The night kingdom isn't and will never be connected to the leylines. Mare Jivari is most likely going to be a massive Domain, since it simply disappeared, and when places vanish in Teyvat, they usually become domains
Your thoughts on Ronova and the Captain aligns perfectly with what I got after reflecting for a while. Only point I would make is that - yes I too was distraught about Xilonen 'death' plot being dropped - but it was actually just a translation error, english team localization translated it as death, when it was about life force, a concept that felt cheap when it was conveniently mentioned out of the blue in 5.3, when in fact it should be present for the previous patches for better coherence.
Your theory about xbalanque could be true, since xbalanque fought and killed the pyro sovereign that was abyssal contaminated. We know the unified nation had humans and angel protectors, the second who came brought abyssal and forbidden knowlege, damaged the PO badly and devolved MOST of the angels to seelies. If the pyro sovereign WAS the dragon that left teyvat, came back and was then called nibelung. Xbalanque enters the flame as you say to enable the forming of the gnosis from his ashes. Maybe the tsaritsa simply wanted the gnosis to reform xbalanque to disempower the sustainer and the current power structure in celestia. She probably has her own method for a "loom of fate" like teyvat memory core but she's not aligned with the abyss order (as far as we know). Maybe zhongli knew this was coming so voluntarily gave his gnosis away, venti let his get taken. Nahida gave the electro and dendro gnosis to the doctor. Nevillette gave the gnosis to arlechino. The appointed time has not yet come for mavuika to give hers to the tsaritsa (via columbina) and the sinner's havent yet arrived on the scene. columbina's conversation with the lord of the night will be interesting.
Wait, I don't think he fought the pyro sovereign because he was abyss contaminated?.....when you go to Neuvilettes voice lines in "About the Pyro Archon" it is implied that traveler tell's Neuvilette that it was a formal duel between them and that the pyro sovereign lost but the soverign's family was treated well in the aftermath of that loss.
The Tsaritsa hates the Abyss more than anyone, well... there's Dain xD But for real, maybe what she wants is to battle the core of the problem, so instead of pushing back the Abyss she wants to destroy it. The thing is, just like Shadow, Ashikai and many other lore enthusiasts (me included) are predicting, there's no world without the Abyss, it's kinda like a rule, it has to have the Abyss somehow or it just... idk, breaks apart? So maybe why Zhongli gave his Gnosis was because he knows how the Abyss is the root of like, 90% of the problems in Teyvat so he also wants to get rid of it... problem is, what they don't know is that they can't do that, so maybe the plot from 7.0 will be this, she gets all Gnosis, tries to do this but we literally have to stop her from destroying Teyvat by killing the Abyss. (I'll copyright this theory~)
@@Necrochaosium I'm very confused about what you said, I have to be honest. But above all, I just don't understand why Nibelung has to be someone else and not just Nibelung himself. Nibelung is the dragon king, he died and came back to life as Nibelung, why would he be Xiuhcoatl?
Ah wait, I just realized that there might be a problem with your theory. The Gnoses were already being handed out during the Archon War when the Archons were being chosen. So unless Xbalanque was the very first Archon and got killed and turned into the Gnoses before any other Archons were appointed, it seems super unlikely that he's the Third Descender. But you may not be wrong about him being an outlander.
@@catdownthestreet well, I did say in the video that he probably became the Archon way before the Archon Wars that didn't even happen in Natlan at all...
according to the lore of the 5.2 event with Citlali telling the story of the Mare Jivari, Bennett *cannot* have been found in the Mare Jivari. The Mare Jivari disappeared 20 to 30 years ago. Bennett is a teenager. Bennett's character story 2 described the adventurer finding Bennett as having gone through 'howling winds' among others. Unless this means the winds across the adventurer's entire journey, this again could not have been the Mare Jivari since the wind does not blow there.
No its not Xbalanque they would reveal that on the gemstone if that was the case, and that has not been done I was thinking that it could be Thrain but in a later story update. I also thought about Ronova but it says truth not rules so that doesn't really fit.

Is this Capitano's goal a part of project Stuzha? Is project Stuzha some kind of transferring data from 1 PC to the new one by having Capitano + LotN pull all the souls in the Leyline to himself, let Dottore burn down the Irminsul, let abyss come to Teyvat, freeze them in place and Fatui go to other world along with all the souls in inside Capitano?
@@cardnacn6704 we know project Stuzha is something they're doing in Snezhnaya (and now we know it's Nod-Krai), so what Capitano did, had nothing to do with this project, it's his own life goal that he achieved.

@cardnacn6704 well, I mean, Capitano said that the Tsaritsa doesn't force the Harbingers to follow her orders. If their personal goals are more important than her plans, they are allowed to put them first. With the Pyro Gnosis being the last one, Capitano doing his own thing doesn't really change much, there are other Harbingers that can easily complete what he started
@ I still think Capitano's goal has something more to Fatui bc the 2 Fatui members in Mondstat said No.1 seat is still belongs to him in CN. Not open for recruit like No.8 seat or some memory shenanigan with No.6 seat
6:59 i thought tenoch didnt have an ancient name? Hence why h8m and aether were compared. They both initially fought for natlan with no promise of the ode to protect them- until aether eventually got his.
Pretty sure Tenoch was exiled because he lost his physically (That obsidian carving). He came back and fought with no ode to protect him, despite his exile, because he felt like it was his duty as a former bearer and citizen of Natlan.
I know it feels disappointing, but I always understood it as Xilonen having to give up some of her lifespan. She doesn't have to die rn, but she'll die of old age earlier than expected. Just not during the game's story
Hmmm, I think Xbalanque could be paralleled by Och-kan's story, that is he could've been the Pyro Sovereign's soul detached from his own corrupted body of Xiuhcoatl. However his soul could have been absorb by the night kingdom and thus be reborn as a human. Maybe that's why Ronova couldn't have kept his body intact because she would only be reviving the original Pyro Sovereign which would be a big no no to the Heavenly Principles.
@@skygazer8549 but it doesn't really make sense, I mean, for Xbalanque to be Xiuhcoatl's soul, the dragon would have had to die before Xbalanque's birth, but Xbalanque defeated the dragon, so he couldn't have been reborn before even dying. And even if he was Xiuhcoatl's reincarnation somehow, he wouldn't have been a true human as Och-Kan defined him
Ya know; this whole business with The Burning of Irminsul and the Existence of the Night Kingdom makes me think that Natlan will be the last bastion of Civilization after Irminsul’s Destruction.
@@ShadowXImpact That would prove that The Tsaritsa doesn’t even care about the wishes of Humanity at all and would be a REALLY great way to convince the MC to side with the Heavenly Principles or something…
KEEP INHALING! I'm 99% certain that scene with him sitting down in that throne was a reference to the Lich King from World of Warcraft. You should go watch the Lich King cutscenes and compare them to Capitano's final scene. Trust me. Also, as for irl references to mythology, look for that one Norse story with Thrain in it. The name is spelled differently but the Thrain in that story is also an undead king! Very suspicious if you ask me. Gotta wonder if Capitano's going to wake up and lead an undead army, Lich King style. I'm probably also hitting the copium hard but like, the exact same thing happened with Scaramouche and his story fits Bohemian Rhapsody perfectly, so I might be onto something here :D
My biggest gripe with 5.3 was mauvikas story quest. They hyped xbalanque so hard in it and made it a huge deal. Only for him to lose to mauvika ( ._.) That’s the reason I didn’t pull for her and I won’t pull for her in the future. She has literally no flaws.
@@leafrek she has no flaws? She's human, her whole concept is that she's not perfect and infallible as the other Archons. She only won against Xbalanque because he created the ancient name, while she used the memories and experiences it accumulated across the ages

So the moons are part of the anachronistic techno dragon kingdom somehow? Ugh. What happened to the nice fantasy game I joined in 2020. At any rate surely now people will finally give up then Moon Sister crap. Since forever it's been stated on the basis of no evidence (since there is no evidence about Moon Sisters, since they don't exist) that the Moon Sisters are/were related to the Seelie somehow and now they are stated in game to be dragon related (the Moons that is). Of course that won't happen. The Pygmies isn't canon. They only published one book. It's sad of course but they aren't going back to that book. Citlali: "She's an Angel" -- or half angel. You can call her a giant turtle who carries the world on her back if you like. There's just as much evidence for it. Regrator has agents all over Teyvat. There's nothing special about Fontaine. 27:55 It has to be around 2000 that Xbalanque becomes the Archon as that is when the Seven first all met together. Therefore he cannot be the 3rd Descender. Wouldn't make sense anyway for him to be alive to get the Pyro Gnosis when that was made out of his own body. Besides which a Descender must be an alien not born on Teyvat.
Genshin Impact has NEVER BEEN A FANTASY GAME. It has ALWAYS been a sci-fi game wearing a fantasy hat. We knew this from literally day one because of the Waypoints. Please acquire some media literacy.
I have a question to this channels owner and everyone on comment section. My friend asked me a question and it bugged me a little bit. If Mavuika is not the first Pyro Archon then why do we see her on Statue of the Seven? Those statues were there during the Archon War right and it was many thousands years ago. Mavuika is merely 500 years ago. Can someone explain that to me with sources?
18:42 It seems to me that weird eyes all over the place is just a pretty common theme of anime /manga. I accidentally came across an image that's FAR more like Ronova than the one you show here. The truth is these sort of images are just commonplace. And they are NOT "biblically accurate angels" as has recently become a cliche to say. First of all they mean Seraphs not Angels, but more importantly the Japanese style weird eyes seem to always be slapped on existing body parts rather than "wheels within wheels" as with a Seraph. Raiden Shogun's battle form has a bunch of them and the statue of Raiden in Inazuma. Eyes on hands, Eyes on wings, arms on arms and in odd parts of faces, eyes on other eyes. Lovecraftian stuff goes this way a bit too. It's not biblical. It's hard to say Capitano "won" when Ronova so obviously doesn't care. 19:58 hard for her to do that when she was still asleep, plus the 2nd anniversary web event shows Traveler wasn't delivered to Teyvat but escaped and walked to Teyvat under their own power. Again various counter factuals I know you don't want to hear about..... but the Capitano story makes no sense and nobody can explain away the problems that I've seen. There's certainly more problems than "Ronova could have refused". We don't even know if Capitano is supposed to be alive or dead. People are asking whether MiHoyo will have him come back and be playable still. It's a shame. All in all a terrible AQ. People have wondered if there's more to the story. I doubt it. It feels unfinished because it was bad.
The statue in Inazuma isn't a statue of the Raiden Shogun, that's why it's explicitly called the Statue of the Omnipresent God and looks nothing like her.
I swear to the devil, even tho your theory regarding Xbalanque makes total sense, if this child is the third decender, I‘ll riot. Whoever came up with these dumb designs in Natlan and with this story that has more plotholes than consistencies really fucked up. I was most excited for Natlan out of all the Nations, but now, my disappointment is immeasurable. I needed to do hours of research to even properly understand certain parts of the story like why Capitano did what he did. This is so frustrtating! Like, they‘re telling me that a child defeated the Pyro Dragon Sovereign? A dragon even more powerfull than Neuvi? Hell nah, that’s just dumb. Sorry, I needed to vent my frustration for a bit, but other than that, I really liked the way you explained your thoughts and theories. Looking forward to the Paimon vid!
@deathsinger969 maybe your disappointment is clouding your judgment? Because Xbalanque very clearly said that his soul was temporarily resurrected into a child's body, not that he was a child. Same with Capitano's actions, he pretty clearly explains his revenge while challenging Ronova.
I...... think you failed to see something obvious to the story as a whole: Kazuha's story.... When you arrive on the edge of Sumeru via the Chenyu area, you find the haikus on different areas, especially with the photo contest. I think 🤔......the other half of Genshin's Storyline, will be about the pact of People and Dragons. Kazuha has a connection to this and is also a hero ( van withstand a gods power) obtain multiple powers, but is not on the same path as Lumine and her brother. I think the battle( or the story of the Battles) have been one sided. Nod Krai had power from Dragons, the Tsaritsa is obviously a Dragon in human form......pay attention to the other side of the story from Venti's point a view Look at all the 'Dragon-types' sleeping into the storyline. And finally Paimon is also a new born Sustainer of Time( not heavenly Principles) and our Traveler has lived these lives over and over again, each time choosing to save their siblings, (yin and yang)Lumine means ' light'

Xbalanque being the third descender is an interesting theory, but I highly doubt that he actually is for one just because the third descenders remains are referred to as ashes does it mean it’s a direct connection to xbalanque I’m pretty sure it just emphasizes that the third defender lost in the battle against the heavenly principles which shows a direct connection to natlans rules plus apep herself refers to this as well in nahidas second story request, saying that the winners will earn their right to shake the world while the losers turn to Ashe so I think it’s a parallel to what she said or is just a metaphor of winning or losing a battle another thing is that even if xbalanque is from beyond this world, it does not mean that he is a direct descender and if I’m going to be honest, it’s a bit underwhelming for him to even be a third descender especially since you really have to know the lore to understand it I think it makes sense if he’s some type of primordial human with a will of a god but not a descender plus he was the pyro archon which means he held the gnosis and the result of the third descender being on teyvat led to the archon war it just doesn’t align well with the pre-existing lore that we got
Also the mare javari being the lost anemo tribe makes so much sense with what we know from its connection to Mondstadt also this is just my crack theory but if their is an anemo tribe and each natlan character is associated with a tribe I wonder is skirk could be from natlan like I know there’s not much evidence but it’s a cool thought to have
9:58 Quick note; it has been confirmed that the CN version didn't say Xilonen must've payed with her "life", but a part of her "life force" instead.
About the Night Kingdom and the Irminsul, I personally always understood it as there being a small connection, but weak and severely limited, kinda like a
Firewall that prevent stuff from Natlan to going into the Irminsul, but allowed the Irminsul to send information to Natlan.
18:24 LMAOOOOOOOOOO
20:18 I wholeheartedly agree with that.
@@ShadowXImpact
As for the first part, I really do think by "conquer their fear" Ronova meant to willingly die, not just to not be afraid of it.
I mean, everything Xbalanque did, aimed at this specific moment when the abyss would have been defeated once and for all, so that weapon was probably gathering power since the beginning until the right time arrived. great vid! ur Xbalanque theory is def plausible even if i don't rly believe it and by that i mean that i don't agree or disagree, just acknowledge that it's def possible to happen.

also how we got new info about the Third Descender in each region since Sumeru. Sumeru revealed info about Descenders, Fontaine revealed that Gnosis are remains of third Descender and i was expecting to get a reveal about third Descender's identity in Natlan but it didn't happen so i wonder...if they were cheeky with it and Xbalanque is one
that's why i can see it happening and wouldn't be surprised if it did, it's just that i personally don't have faith in it purely by vibes and cuz my prev theory was that third Descender was original Ajax(not Childe)
apparently the part where Xilonen was supposed to die was a mistranslation issue.

But why am I sure he's there?:
Theres an NPC in green at the memorial. He has Dottore's voice - and what he said sounded like something someone other than a nobody NPC would say:
NPC "Huamanga"-
"I knew about the Captain's immense strength, but never expected him to have such a strong sense of honor.
No matter how prejudiced I may have been in the past, he now has my utmost respect."
That sounds like Il Dottore to me.
A lot of people seem to also forget something that was shown in that flashback where he killed Niwa:
He can shape shift.
@ShadowXImpact
Yeah, it was his VA - no doubt about it.
Hope you feel better soon.

he's stated to be at work in nod-krai and cannot be in natlan at that time
@@sleepy-fc6rf
.... He has clones.
As well as shape shifting abilities.
He indicated to Nahida that it wasn't easy, but that he has the ability to make more and this year's lantern rite is the second since he erased the ones he had. So it's been 2 years in-game since then. He was stated to be on par with a god, by Nahida.
Meaning he can likely do scarry things.
I seriously doubt he didn't start making more, immediately (meaning he could have possibly 1 or 2 clones- if not more.
We also don't know if he had back ups "growing" somewhere else, that Nahida was unable to sense) and on top of that, Mavuika likely couldn't have eyes directly on him all the time....
24:48 When Chief of Collective of Plenty, Rey Mysterio said "Welcome to our tribe Traveler. Booyaka booyaka 619", I literally cried and hit a dropkick to my pillow.
Hell yeah a new Shadow Impact video for my morning walk through the snow. I'm so glad they dropped a few lore crumbs about the lost tribe, and it would be so cool to have a Mare Jivari event once it releases in which Bennett explores that area.
Can't wait for your WuWa video, I'm expecting som sas ✨
@@Schnubi the snow... I haven't seen it in years.... 😭
But yeah, they had to start talking about the lost tribe, it Dienst make sense that there's no anemo tribe... And it would be amazing if Bennett was the main character in a Mare Jivari event!
I have the flu and the fever is going up and down like crazy, so I can't start working on the Wuwa video....
I could obviously be wrong it is just what my brain has put together with what we have learned in Natlan plus this video.
@@logikx1325 I like the idea of the Wayob being destroyed, maybe just like it was about to happen to the Geo one in 5.0, but no matter what happened, their memories were still in the night kingdom, with or without the Wayob. In fact, they never taught the kids their history, but only how to fight, and that's because they couldn't remember their past
Bro is a prophet at this point 😂 you need to see my face when I saw capitano sits on his throne
😂😂😂 If only it worked with the lottery...
The Tsaritsa hates the Abyss more than anyone, well... there's Dain xD
But for real, maybe what she wants is to battle the core of the problem, so instead of pushing back the Abyss she wants to destroy it.
@ShadowXImpact yeah i remember people trying to have nibelung be the cryo sovereign for some reason. Why cant he just be the dragon king

24:00 WHEN? WHERE?
No its not Xbalanque they would reveal that on the gemstone if that was the case, and that has not been done I was thinking that it could be Thrain but in a later story update. I also thought about Ronova but it says truth not rules so that doesn't really fit.
@@alexanderericson8628 if Xbalanque's truth hasn't been told yet, then it would also make sense that the name is still hidden. It's basically the same thing you said about Capitano, it could be something that will come up in a later update
@@ShadowXImpact It depends as far as I know Mauvika has still not told us the secret which I think is what that gemstone refers to. Dainsleif says that the pyro archon has a secret to tell
Wait! When you said about Dottore is busy with project Stuzha, I suddenly remember the 3 researchers with unknown origin who helped Capitano finding secret source mechanism, which turn out to be the Lord of the Night(LotN.), Aberewaa, Bosomtwe and Cuxtal. There's also Fatui experiment facility at the south of children of echoes tribe which is likely to be Dottore's with the mysterious fragments nearby where Fatui camping around.
Are those 3 researchers Dottore's subordinates? and they helped Capitano "reconstructing Leyline" and even tho the situation is different as Capitano took the opportunity of Mavuika using Ronova's power to confront Ronova and get better result with LotN gaining immortality and repair Natlan's Leyline.
@@ShadowXImpact Oh! I forgot about that. Still, I think there's still something more than just Fatui and Tsarista letting No.1 achieve his goal without anything line up with the things they're trying to do. Maybe the grand plan to confront Celestia.
He had an Ancient Name, but he lost it
Pretty sure Tenoch was exiled because he lost his physically (That obsidian carving).
Just not during the game's story
in genshin manga we see a one person who use a special power his name is barnabas
@@EthHawke94 potentially, unless they decide to do something to the night kingdom as well

DONT WORRY SHADOW CAPITANO IS GOING TO BE PLAYABLE TRUSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
(im inhaling the last bit of copium i have left after 5.3)
KEEP INHALING!
@@AlexisNess-mn4zw I'm fairly sure his story isn't over, but making him playable.... We'll see, but my hopes are getting slimmer by the second....
My biggest gripe with 5.3 was mauvikas story quest. They hyped xbalanque so hard in it and made it a huge deal. Only for him to lose to mauvika ( ._.)

Citlali:
"She's an Angel" -- or half angel.
Yippee!!

Why of all things is "NOT" making comeback? It was bad and dumb 33 years ago and it's worse now.
I...... think you failed to see something obvious to the story as a whole: Kazuha's story....
Nod Krai had power from Dragons, the Tsaritsa is obviously a Dragon in human form......pay attention to the other side of the story from Venti's point a view
Look at all the 'Dragon-types' sleeping into the storyline.
And finally Paimon is also a new born Sustainer of Time( not heavenly Principles) and our Traveler has lived these lives over and over again, each time choosing to save their siblings, (yin and yang)Lumine means ' light'
