Hi Marty, I happened to look this up tonight because of the passing of Graeme Edge. I love the Moody Blues and have been listening to them all evening in his honor. RIP Graeme ❤️ 🙏.
Marty I've been listening to the song since it was a AM radio single 50 years ago. The way you parse the song into pieces...all I can do is thank you for your brilliant analysis.
Marty … you have done a ton of EXCELLENT guitar teaching over many years … IMO, you are among the VERY best RUclipsr ‘instructionists’… the thing that separates you amongst others at at the top I believe is you make the watcher want to pick up the guitar right away … and you make that learner feel like “yeah , 😅 I think I Can do that. I’ll try . Great stuff …thanks … been playing since ‘63 .. ( it’s a long song.)
Perfect timing - I’m just learning the finer points of this song. You showed me at least 2 places where I was playing it wrong. Great work, as always - thank you!!!!
Thanks Marty. Haven’t learned a song from you in a while as I’ve been off learning songs by ear and working on soloing to backing tracks. Your lessons have helped me get there. Good stuff! 🤘🏼🎸
Marty, I want to thank you for keeping me playing music at this slow and painful time. You have taught me everything I know. Keep up the good work dude! 💙👏💙🎵
Thanks Marty, I’ve been waiting for a descent lesson on this song. It is a great Rocking piece of music, fun to play. I already had some the basic parts of the song. Your lesson not only validated what I was hearing, but filled in the rest of the song.
Not sure if you review these comments personally, but anyway I'd really like to say thank you for all tutorials you post. They have made me a better player. Thank you so much.
Marty, I usually play through Mesa Filmore, Mesa V 35, EVH 5150 III 2x12 combo or a Friedman BE Deluxe. Lately I have been noodling with the Katana Artist 100 MKII. I got to give it to the Katana as it is super flexible to produce tons of tones. It is super easy to use and don’t break the bank. Cool to see you using one, I bet is great for teaching songs where the guitar uses different tones.
I looked at several tutorials, and yours is the best. Especially how you covered the lick on the last line of the verse ("it's still the same"). Great job!!!!
Can you possibly do Girls Girls Girls by Mötley Crüe. I have a feeling that many would love to learn the song. Their are many lessons but your lessons are the best.

Hey Marty, thank you for the The Story In Your Eyes guitar lesson. Appreciated!!!
Marty, I've seen where Justin alternates in the introduction between going from the "C" to the "D" to going from the "C" back to the "Bm".
Love it, Marty. Thank you!
