    When I had my heart attack , they had a nutritionist talk to me. and she told me your better off eating regular bacon over turkey bacon, She said turkey bacon was loaded with artificial flavors and preservatives, and had a high added sodium content, so you are way better off eating regular bacon,

    I think they also need to add a setting for "not too crispy"! I love bacon but I don't want it really crunchy.

    Actually back in the 1930’s and 40’s, the electric toasters WERE made like the bacon express. You would drop the sides and place one slice of bread per side, lift it back up to where the bread was vertical. And yes you would guess when the toast was ready. This was cute. If it worked a little better might buy one for hubby.

    I have something similar, but it has a rounded metal “sheath” over the hot plate to hold the bacon and cook it from both sides. It does still take about the same amount of time, but when you’re cooking everything else for breakfast, it’s fine. I love mine!!!

    If you don't like your bacon toaster, I'll take it off your hands! 😁 To me, this is great. I don't have to worry about splatter from a pan, or from oven cooking it. It saves the grease, which I could use for cooking my onions for recipies like fried rice... It seems to me like a great product! 😁 Thank you for testing it. Hopefully I can afford to get one down the line.

  • @sharonzona4346
    @sharonzona4346 6 лет назад

    I agree, there's no way it should take that long for a product that's supposed to save you time. It really does seem to cook it correctly, but you can do that in the oven too. Just put a cooling rack inside a sheet pan with a lip (usually a 1/2 sheet pan) and then lay out the bacon in a row. In the same amount of time it took to cook 3 slices on that toaster thingie, you can have an entire pack of bacon cooked. It's really delicious if you sprinkle a little brown sugar on it before you put it in the oven. It caramelizes on top of the bacon and its delicious. It's almost like bacon candy. If you want to take it one step further and actually make it into candy instead of a side with your eggs, you can melt chocolate and after you've caramelized your bacon you can drizzle or pour chocolate on the bacon, depending on how much you like chocolate.
    Wow, I went off on a tangent there. At least it was still bacon related! 🥓🥓🥓 LOL! As always, I really enjoyed your video, Vivian. You're hilarious and full of, to use a very old term that's way before my time, piss and vinegar! The sass is real with this one and I LOVE it! Please don't ever change. There have been studies that conclude that people who curse are typically more trustworthy and potentially smarter than those who don't. So you be you and screw those fuckers who complain about the cussing. If it bothers then so FUCKING much, then they shouldn't watch. Although, I'm not trying to make you lose any subs! I think you need a TON more subs because you're awesome!! Ok, I'm going to stop now. I didn't sleep at all last night and I'm just rambling at this point. Time for some sleep! 😪

    I have a foolproof way to cook bacon. Get a microwaveable plate or tray, put three paper towels on it followed by however many strips of bacon you want to cook. Then stick it the microwave on high for about one minute per slice, adjusting the time for how done you want it, and just wait a bit. When it is done, remove each piece from the paper towel while it is still hot or it will stick. Enjoy your yummy bacon. The paper towel will absorb most of the fat, there is almost no clean up and the house still smells like bacon.

    I think I'll stick to using the toaster oven or microwave. In the microwave I put a bowl upside down on a plate with two chopsticks in between for four minutes or so for two strips. Add a minute for each extra strip you add. Mmm! Nice and crispy. Be careful removing plate because it and the bowl WILL BE HOT. Set bacon on paper towel for a couple minutes to cool down and then empty plate.

    Turn oven on 350, Grab Cookie Sheet, Put a Cookie cooling rack on cookie sheet, Lay bacon on, Put into oven bake for 15-20 mins (depending on how crispy you want the stuff), No standing over a skillet being spray with hot oil, no spending money on needless items... and you don't even need to use the cookie cooling rack that's just to keep the bacon from laying in all the grease it's not a must have - I actually am not a fan of bacon, but I make it for my boyfriend and son all the time and I only make it in the oven I stopped making it in a skillet after the 1st time I did it in the oven, no splatter, the bacon doesn't shrink nearly as badly, it stays flat, and I don't have to stand over top of it and can get other stuff done while it is cooking
