      Pour dark chocolate into those molds and let the chocolate harden. That would make awesome shot glasses. You could then fill them with Chocolate Cake shots or B-52 shots. Either would taste yummy with dark chocolate shot glasses.

    Vivian, co-worker put jolly ranchers in these (15 pieces per cut-out) and made shot glasses. It was really cool, and it made the alcohol taste like the candy. The glasses were a little sticky after you handle them so I'd say maybe keep them in the fridge (I wouldn't keep them in the freezer because they won't smell as good frozen or leak their flavor into the vodka) right before you serve them and in between shots. Everyone was super impressed, just know you need to buy a decent amount of candy.

    Chill the mold at least 2 hours before filling, and they should release better. Works especially well for jello molds. Once cookie dough is in mold chill for 30 minutes before cooking, and they won't expand as much. Can also cut back baking soda or powder back to reduce the amount of expansion from dough. Since cookie dough expands at least some normally leave a gap between top edge and dough. Trim extra cookie off before removing from the mold.

  • @TheTumbleFever
    @TheTumbleFever 6 лет назад +18

    You need to fully cook the cookie dough and spray cooking spray in the mold as a release agent. I find store bought dough hardens faster. Also with the Jello shots you need to tap out air bubbles so the walls don't break.

    Cookies rise-fill the cups with less dough. Same principle as cupcakes, fill only 2/3 full. Was that straight up baking chocolate? Spray the molds even if it did not say to do so.

      Rachel Fuller - but if it doesn’t get filled to the top, there’ll be no bottom to the “glass.”

    • @clgadd
      @clgadd 6 лет назад +8

      Em Kay she doesn’t have to fill it to top because the way the dough rises. If she fills it 2/3 full, as it rises, it will cover the center and form the bottom of the glass

      hey Rachel - I would also like to add that It looks like the oven was too hot- some burning going on and with the added protection of the parchment paper- that should not have happened. A little burnt on the bottom and a little raw half way up =too much heat and the position of the oven rack should be higher? Keep the paper.

    I think you used a cookie dough with too much fat and maybe not enough time in the oven. I think a drier dough will work better, like a short bread or sugar cookie

    To get the Jell-o out you could have used some warm water to soften them and they would have come out really easy. As for the cookies cook them for longer at a lower temperature and it should work. It's not my favorite kind if mold but it can work.

    Over filled and cookie tray should not have wrapped. The point of wrapping cookie sheet is to prevent burnt bottoms. That’s why cookie cups weren’t fully cooked. Next nix the paper.

    I wouldn't try any dough with nuts, chocolate chips, or any thing that would weaken the dough with extra fat. You must also remember that the dough will be weakened around those areas. I would think of it like mixing concrete.I think maybe a vanilla wafer mix would be better because it would be a uniformly mixed dough . Did the package say what temperature to use, or did you follow the cookie mix directions on temperature? So many variables! Have you tried the Jello glasses with liquor mixed in? Cool video!

I tried a potato and had spiral fries in less than a minute, peeled. i found it at the thrift store for 6.00 and thought i would give it a try, i would have spent the 29.95 dollars for it now. You know these videos where you try food related gadgets would really benefit from a taste test at the end. Because as consumers we don’t just wanna know if the thing works, but how the gadget cooked it. Was the cookie fully cooked? Was it worth it for all that hassle making the cookies for only one sip of milk, meaning did it really taste better/ was it more fun to eat this way. Been watching your videos all day since yesterday and you have a great channel! But this is something you might consider, your channel would benefit from!

    You mentioned the butter content. Maybe that was the issue. Soft cookies don’t hold.

    I have had success, not with that pan, I believe Wilton has a pan that they put out, I think it's metal. And I had complete success with that. You put chocolate in there and then you, release some of the chocolate, you don't leave the chocolate in there because you just want to cover the inside.
