I got one of these torture devices for Christmas a few years ago. I had the same issues as you. But I tried it. I felt like it distorted things just a little bit for me. Not what I want when I’m driving. It’s not only tacky, it’s dangerous. Get you some Walmart sunglasses, and call it a day!
Yes! Exactly. And for people that wear glasses, they should still pass on the visor. I would say the clip-on sunglasses would work way better than this.
It looks like it could also be dangerous for on-coming drivers with the way the back of that reflects.
Where that thing you're paying for the advertisement $19.99 and even $10 is too much $ I know. $4.99 I don't know one of those I don't know who does but it's not worth the money

Thank you for doing this review. I kept laughing when you when you said "Wear your sunglasses." Not all of us can wear sunglasses. I am an old fart that wears tri-focals. The cheap sunglasses that clip on are heavy and the ones that completely cover with their own pieces to go over your ears are a joke. You keep reviewing, and I will keep watching. I review stuff from the other side of the spectrum.
Well that just made me laugh out loud. I was also thinking "not everyone can wear glasses" because I wear glasses. I was just tickled because I've not yet reached the stage of an "old fart" 😅😅

I wear glasses and can't afford prescription sunglasses and I'm not trying to look like an old lady with them dilated eye glasses over mine 😂😂
Angela Feminella, Eyemart Express, you can get 2 pairs of prescription glasses for less than $75. 1 pair can be sunglasses. A lot of eyeglass places have this deal.

Found that the night visor does work pretty well against new mode vehicles with led headlights no longer get blinded by them

I'm a retired school bus driver. and I did wear my sunglasses. BUT when your stareing at the sun AM and PM the yellow one works am and pm... I now have a pair of the yellow sunglasses I wear at night and it helps so much.
I just saw the commercial for the first time and was headed for my credit card. Fortunately, I stopped to do some research first. I am so glad I found your review. Wow, it looks like it could take the top of your head off . As so many have written, you are very funny.
Omg I got this for my mom since she is short and a the regular visor does nothing for her and ugh we both hated it... just a waste of money and now is in the trunk of the car... you were very generous on giving it a two, I would have said one
They've been ripping people off with this since the 80's. They just rename it every few years. Your a delight though.

I'm a trucker I have one, I snapped the day time off it was useless to me, but the night time I use when there's alot of on coming traffic as it just reduces the glare a little bit for me to make driving more comfortable

I used this for a few years before the clip plastic broke from sun damage and loved it because I have glasses and can’t use sunnies. Haven’t found another one to replace it though

Thanks for the review. I drive a LOT and usually am 90% blinded by the sun when coming home, heading west at the end of my trip. My mother by law got us (wife and I) some green visors that I use to block the sun and look under because my car visor is not low enough. I can't see through the green one so I was thinking about trying this. NOT, thanks again.

I agree that the price is too much. But they had something like that in the early 80's. My Great Aunt in her 90's sat in the passenger side, wore glasses, and would not wear sunglasses. *get a 90 year old woman to wear sunglasses over her glasses". Well this thing was a life saver for us because she slumped in the car and we had the visor down and this sunglass visor below it. So for older people, it works.
I had one of these, the are quite good, the problem is, if you get out of the car, you get the sun in your face, so you need your sunglasses anyway. The nightvision is good, used it when I worked very early in the morning, and great for rainy days.

I had one of these and found the same problems. Plus if left in your car in the heat the visor warped

I loved how thorough you were lol. I think the only people I can imagine using this are the ones with beaded seat covers. (No offense to beaded seat cover users lol)
We have an HD vision visor and I love it for night driving and the daytime one for when the sun up/down blinding me
I purchased something similar to this years ago from QVC. It didn't have the yellow night vision visor. I got it because I wear glasses and thought it would be more convenient than clip-on sunglasses. But I ran into the same issue with whacking my forehead every time I leaned forward. I pictured being in an accident and getting scalped as I'm thrown forcefully into it. Eventually I tossed it and made peace with my clip-ons.
I would pay you the hundred dollar installation just to hang out with such a funny person. I would even fix drinks and eats! I love your videos! Very helpful! Keep doing your thing. All my best!

I don't have this particular one but have one very much like it that I purchased 4 years ago from overseas, and I do like mine very much. The yellow night shield is my favorite, since I have an eye condition that makes all headlights have halo's that shine and blind me like giant stars. Without the yellow, I could only drive at night if no other vehicles were on the road as well, but recently, I bought a pair of yellow workers goggles that look hideous on me, and man, do they work well at night!
I actually think I want one of these! I live in Florida and am a makeup artist but I HATE wearing sunglasses because it always fucks up my makeup and honestly sunglasses marks just aren’t cute. This completely solves my problem!

I would really like to know if the night time visor works, does it make it easier to see, since I have problems seeing at night and a lot of people love to blind you with their high beams. would have loved to see a view from the camera through the night time visor.

I had one of these once and I put the visor down and clipped it on. It worked better. Try it and tell me if it's not better.

If it works, great! I actually wear glasses with Transitions lenses which don't work through the car's windshield. I can't wear contact lenses because I wore them too long when I was young and screwed up my eyes and now they do bad things with my eyes if I wear them. I haven't watched the video all the way through yet, but we will see. I will probably just continue to do what I always do and just suck it up. Besides, in Northeast Ohio, it's almost always overcast and crappy out, so I don't have to contend with the Sun too much. Ok, back to the video. I'm somewhat of a new subscriber and I love the videos I have seen so far.

Thank you for testing the visor. I was actually on the fence about getting one. I need prescription glasses and can't wear sunglasses. I'm going to hold off for a better design.
Hi Vivian, that would not work for me for sure. I have an old model of something similar that is yellow tinted and seems much thicker. It also has a separate sliding darker piece that you can use to block the actual sun when it is low in the sky. It has 2 hooks, one on each end to go on the visor around the mirror so you can still use the mirror and it hooks from the front edge back to the hinged side. It was a real lifesaver when I was driving to/from work as part of my drive was directly into the sun parts of the year and even with sunglasses, I was blinded at times. I'm very short---so the car visor was not long enough for me. For a long time I used a piece of cardboard attached with clips to the visor to make it longer, but of course I couldn't see through it. The yellow tint with the extra dark moveable piece helped reduce the sunlight in my eyes and still allow me to see.
Vivian why don't you try the battle visors that are now out. I use the tac ones at night and they help me with these cars that have LED Lights!!!

I know, why a box? It's the same way with English muffins, they are already in a bag, but in a cardboard tray. Why? You don't need the cardboard tray. but I buy my English muffins, cardboard tray and all, cause I need my english muffins more than I need a Tac Visor......in a cardboard box. 😁
It looks cheap but I got one of these and it really helps in the day and especially at night. Some of the blue headlights these newer cars have can really blind you at night.
The one I got looks more like the one on the infomercial where it hooks to the visor and it stays up better than the one you got Vivian.
Me personally would just tint my windows and wear sunglasses. Ain't no visor clock blocking me. Lmao.

could you demonstrate what it would look like clipped to the bill of your hat? i think it would be more useful as it would block more sun and plus you could turn your head.

I was considering buying this. I do have sunglasses, but I should wear my driving glasses to of course drive. My sun glasses are not subscription. I am also 5"1 and the installed visor doesn't come down far enough to be of any use when the sun is coming up or going down for me to drive safely. I would use it the way you had it at first if there was any way to have it work that way for me.. still though kinda pricey for something like that.
Viv, just remember this rule of thumb about military grade made items. They are made by the lowest bidder.
Best wholesale hammer bid was over 20 bucks?? Like 30 plus years ago? How can they be the lowest bidder when they also have to pay all those millions to the politicians in charge of making the decision? (Not laughing out loud!)
They had something like this when I was little. They made it for short people. My grandma had them and they were in different colors. They didn't work for crap.

I can't wear sunglasses because of my prescription glasses. But after your whole review, I'd rather wear some of those old,blind people glasses. Great job.
One it really isn't big enough to be effective, not even as wide as the visor. My morning commute requires me to flip the visor back and forth from front to side, how would that even work with this device?
Two, I remember something like this back in the 80s (not a combo version, but I remember something you could just attach to your visor).
Those things aren't new God there 20-30 years old I remember having them in my car for my kids it works real good for kids and short people keeps the Sun out of their eyes
