Liam I had a lesson last night and within 15 mins I was hitting draws! All the coach had me do was start my back swing with a left knee turning towards the ball. Total magic move for me, last shot of the lesson was 222 yard 4 iron!

Here's my 2 tips for hitting the ball longer and straighter. Guaranteed results 100%. 1. Hit the center of the club face. 2. Limit the alcohol until after the round is complete.

Super advice Dave. I use a similar swing aid, and I tell myself. Hands Low, swing Slow, club head THREW the ball at the target. Great balance as well Liam. Like seeing the carry distance!

I watched this video a few days ago and loved the idea. Today I was able to go to the driving range and practice with this move. I was TOTALLY surprised how straight I was hitting ALL of my clubs while using this technique. On Wednesday I have a tee time. I am hoping to hit it straight like tonight on the course as well. If so, I can see my score going down!!!! SO Excited for this tip!!! Thanks Liam. Thanks Dave!!!
I had similar issues with my swing and coming over the top. I had a lesson with Dave which was excellent. His drills have been really simple and effective.

Liam that was a great lesson from Dave he’s a star is lad but for future reference if you start to get that feeling again that your pulling or pushing again and overthinking. Just try this/ when you set up widen your stance significantly and I mean significantly not 3/4 inch but to the point you think it looks silly and take your normal swing. I think you will be supprised pal . Regards Andy

not sure give the pro shop a ring tomorrow
Used to he able to hit my driver 280yards, then it went and never came back. At the same time struggled with my 3 wood and Low irons..but now I can hit both cleanly and confidently, but still have 0 confidence with my driver. Being a cack hander its basically see what works. Today play at Par 72 course Texas scramble with a +30 handicapper and together we both shot +6.. Every shot felt great and everything worked as we intended. Can guarantee I go next week and it's all over the place 😬 New motto.. it is what it is, concentrate on the positives and work with that

I am no expert but it looks to me as if you are not using your hips, too little central body rotation resulting in a swing that is mostly arms. This is why it is a bit weak. Think of an arm punching boxer rather than a mike Tyson knock out. head to toe power.

This is going to sound strange Liam, seeing that you're a fun loving guy, but I have seen it before where you take golf a little to seriously. Golf will always be a game that comes and goes. There are to many small deviations in a golf swing to make the average golfer a consistently good golfer. As you like to say "nobody died". Take it when it's there and take it when it's not. That's the game.

Yes but it’s chasing that sweet round where all aspects click. My theoretical best round on a par 35 nine hole course I play would be 33, but lowest I have actually scored is 42. The first hole I have yet to par, the others I have parred or birdied.
With winter reducing game time looking to seriously work on aspects of my game especially the short game.

There are days I hit it over 250 carry. And there are more days I can't get it over 200 carry. And training doesn't help to improve that at all. Frustrating driver...

@@davemackinnon8916 would love to find out what to train. I can hit balls every day, also took lessions, but nothing really helped till today...
I even have a full golf simulator studio with two slowmotion cameras made on my own. Helped to improve my handicap this year from 18 to 13, but to go further I need a better drive.
@@dominicblattmann3763 wow that sounds some set up.. you’re absolutely right , just hitting balls isn’t enough.. if you’re having lessons talk to your pro… you also need to test your practice…. To see and try and simulate real golf..
