Golf Mates Liam, a very straight drive with the big dog, and a perfect iron on to the green! Looks like this has helped out. I’m wondering though, if it is not positioned correctly, could it cause reaching underneath and “pulling out” resulting in a hard draw? Nonetheless, your swing looked so much better this morning. I’d be very proud of that iron one in particular.

Really enjoyed the video! Your approach shots are much better now...and that 3rd shot on the last hole was excellent. Hitting out of that messy grass and wet ground is a challenge for any golfer. I thought you were going to hit a massive flyer out of there, but it came out nicely...maybe without a lot of spin, but you still had just a chip and putt for par.
Your tee shots are much better...and if you get to where you're hitting a draw all the time, you can tee up on the left side of the tee box.

This video has literally changed my golf game. Can’t really afford lessons, but working hard on the swing... when this video came out my lowest score ever was 80, and I was a 12 handicap... Within 3 rounds of watching this, I’ve shot 80 twice and a 73!! And I don’t know how, but I’ve cut my handicap to 8.3 🤯🤯 Best golf video that’s every been made and the most helpful for a fellow ‘over the top swing’ finally enjoying golf again because of this video! Rewatched the video. I noticed that you set up your tee shot on the right as per OMP, but he put you on the right because you were slicing. Now that you are strait or drawing you need to be on the left - generally.

Putting on dew can tell you a lot about your strike- the first putt jumped about 15 times before it started rolling so you must have chopped down at it- as it was flying through the air it's not been slowed by the water and that's why it raced by. Swing is much better, it's just the clubface control that's sending it left 👍

I'm having trouble imagining a swing that would hit the pipe.
I could do it.......every time. Over the top is what I'm good at.
You put the pipe about a foot behind the ball. If you had it right over the ball, yeah you'd never hit it.

Well done dave I tried the tip for iron shots today I have really struggled for a few years with irons but tip helped me greatly also driving tip is working nicely too!

So proud of you for this video taking on I think atleast two of Dave's tips. Using the foam to get you to hit under and you were also standing nearer to the ball. You hit some of the best shots I've seen you hit since watching and also that it was yours intention to concentrate on the tips and not finish the like you can and that was a fantastic result. Love this video mate. I have just picked up the clubs for the first time in 30 years, been out on the range for the last 3 weeks trying to piece all back together, this has been a tremendous help to me. This was great for your understanding of the golf swing, cause & effect. You proved to yourself that the swing path is a major determinant on the flight of the ball. Now when you get off track (and you will occasionally) you know how the fix it yourself. This is a huge break though for you Liam and I'm really haapy for you.

Having trouble with the same over the top swing as you I watch this with great enthusiasm. I went to the nearest DIY-shop and bought a piece of insulation tube and headed to the range. Well I have to say it isn’t as easy as you made it look. But that’s probably why you are a 7 handicapper and I’m of 24. But, practice makes perfect so I keep on practicing with the tube and results will come! Thanks “Dave the rave” for this tip!

After seeing this video I went to the hardware store, purchased the same pipe insulation, and then headed straight to the range. This is the best training aid I’ve ever used! I found that when I pulled it away and swung the driver without it, I reverted to my usual over the top swing, resulting in my usual slice. Only after visualizing that the piece of insulation (or pool noodle) still blocked my ball from the top and outside was I able to replicate the inside to out swing. Can’t wait to play tomorrow!
