Magus should've had the popularity Sephiroth garnered. Outstanding battle theme, awesome backstory, and an all-around savage character with a cool factor.
Magus didn't burn down a village and incapacitate the hero. Magus wasn't as myserious or did much work during the game's run time from the shadows. Sephiroth was also creepy in his harrassments. Magus' goal was simply open-ended/ or else he wouldn't have been playable

Very nicely done and great use of chromatic aberration. The dark matter, frost arc, and lavos summoning scenes look especially fantastic. All of the animations and effects are faithful to the original. I love the attention to detail.
Square despises turn based RPGs now, which is why all ther ff games are real time hack and slashs and why they abandoned Chrono trigger remake, they would never allow one to go out , octopath might be the final exception as even if it sells well square will shrug it off and continue there ways, it best they don't touch Chrono as they will just force it to become there new hack and slash rpg like FF 7

Everything this was amazing, camera transitions and magic effects, but you really outdid yourself with this 05:01 Dark Matter special, GODDAMN that was epic! You can feel the heroes pain because of how powerful that shit was

My theory is that this battle was very hard even so than the last boss (that was just long) to prove that Lavos did made many timelines. The paradox is around because he bends time. It was only clear to me when I brought Robo in the original game.
No. People just want the graphics to be updated. It wasn’t possible in the past due to technology restrictions. But it’s possible now. It doesn’t make Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy 7 any less perfect.
That was truly epic! I'd certainly play a remake like this, 2D sprites and all! Only improvement I say is: get rid of that linear filtering (sprites and textures). It'd give a sense of clarity, especially being on a 3D space..

Yeah, I want a full remake on PS4 or PS5. I feel like they will remake it, if the FF7 remake becomes a gigantic success. That is why the FF7 remake needs to succeed to me. If it succeeds it will show the entire gaming world that the older games was truly made with such high quality and pushed the limits during its own time.
