Alex, You are one of the top car reviewers on RUclips and very professional. For someone interested in specs of a car make, you are the man. However your reviews lack character and personality. You stay away from critiquing any car you review and sound like a walking/driving car encyclopedia. That affects your reviews because they all start to sound alike. Its time you spread your wings and talk about your personal impressions of the cars you review - don't be afraid to call it like you see it.
I've noticed that as well, but I've also noticed that he often offers relativistic comments, so you can start to read between the lines. You need to watch his reviews of a bunch of similar vehicles to determine his likely ranking.
Your reviews are very good, the best in my opinion. They have also gotten even better since I have watched them. I find them very informative and accurate.I purchased a Santa Fe Sport comparing the competition in Alex style. I've learned a lot about cars in general thanks to Alex. great Job!
I'd like to add like to see visibility receive a grade for some of these cars. Seems like so many vehicles are moving towards less and less window space and you can't see out. The big moon roofs are nice though.
Thanks Alex for you great reviews I purchased a car I would have never looked at and it was a great value. Also you help people like me help navigate through a potentially with what I feel can be overwhelming. I watched other people's videos but I liked your videos the best thanks for your hardwoek
Helpful as always. i am currently shopping for a 3 row crossover. I was surprised by the Sante Fe when i test drove and researched it. It has very good value. It was too small for what I am looking for but it is a very solid entry in this field. I am waiting on the redesigned 2018 chevy traverse that Alex mentioned a couple of times before I make a decision.
Alex, you do the most detailed and informative reviews. thank you. ! can you kindly do a detailed review for the 2017 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T Ultimate with the tech package. Best regards.
Hi Alex, big fan here ! However 2 things, As you said the SF has 13.5 CF of cargo space behind the 3rd row, However in your comparaison you also said that the Highlander and Pilot have less space than the Santa Fe but they actually have more (13.8 in the HL and 16.5 in the Pilot) Just a FYI And the 2nd thing, it woud be awesome if you would be able to include some night time short footage or pictures in your reviews just to see their interior dash colors light up tail lamp etc :)
Thanks, man. I've been waiting for you to get your hands on the '17 Santa Fe. Great review. I'm torn between this and the Ford Edge Titanium. The drivetrain warranty on this one, which is twice as long as Ford's, is what's keeping it on top of my list right now. Just sucks about the sub par mileage.
I bought the '17 Sport version with the 2.0 turbo motor and Ultimate Pkg. I can tell you that I'm very pleased with it. Rides and handles very well, and the turbo motor has plenty of pull. I looked at the Edge also, but after consulting Consumer Reports, Hyundai won me over. CR rates it above average in reliability, and it's on their recommended list. The long basic/powertrain warranty was just icing on the cake. As for MPG, I'm averaging 22mpg.
Hasan shaboot the camera view is 360 degrees. You can see on the screen what's going on completely around the car. You can even hit onscreen buttons for each tire. I have had one since October
i know but there is 2 problem with this : 1- not all car equipped with 360 degree camera . and 2- some time even with 360 cam if you on hurry may forget to look at screen while the sound alarm will be more helpful in this particular situation , i experience this once with nissan pathfinder 2013 . thank you
Hasan shaboot no problem. My wife has the Nissan ironically. I guess I've gotten used to the cameras. I came from a Mercedes ML and I like my Santa Fe I lot more. Half the price and regular gas. I use it for my work truck and I have almost 17000 miles. So far no issues and I love being able to start my car with the Amazon Echo and tell it what temperature to heat the car too.
Hello Sir I am all the way from India and you are my perfect RUclipsr in terms of automobile and sir i have a request that can you review the kia forte top end trim with every single option added and it would be a very cool thing for me and the last which you reviewed was in 2014 and its been 3 years now probably.
Alex, what about commenting on the new 600 pound gorilla in the mid-size SUV room - the Volkswagen Atlas. I would really appreciate watching your review of the Atlas. I am in the market for a mid-size SUV and think the Atlas in the top trim level has just about everything an SUV should have from a digital cockpit display, to cavernous interior space, to a 6 year 72,000 warranty. What has stopped me from buying it so far after two test drives is it's too light steering feel and underwhelming engine performance. I have not yet seen the Atlas reviewed by a top car video critic such as yourself. I really don't see how anyone can compare SUV's anymore without including a review of the Atlas. Please don't make us wait too much longer for your Atlas review! Thanks.
The Sorento has a nicer interior and seemed to just drive better than the Santa Fe, it also accomodates larger drivers with its thigh bolstering seat extender. With 3 mths of driving the 17 Sorento SX plus it just seems to get better, fuel mileage is 19-23 mpg and goes like a scoddled cat when needed, love it.
hey alex nice video but i got a question for you i saw the turbo vs super charger video so what if i put 8 supercharger on my car i am planing to make my own car so can i put 8 supercharger? advantage or disadvantage? waiting for replu
The center stack button layout looks very chaotic. It's like they threw the buttons at the stack on a design board and ran with the design regardless of where the buttons landed. It looks like a complete mess.
You have the best detailed reviews I have found on you tube - Can you compare the 2017 Santa Fe Sport 2.0 Turbo regular tranny --With the 2017 Honda CR-V 1.5 Turbo with CVT -- Which engine and tranny combo do you think would hold up best in the long run? Thanks
In a nutshell it's mainly because fuel economy had not been a major focus for them. They were more interested in styling and reliability development but now they are re-focusing on fuel economy.
I am surprised that you haven't directly compared to the Sorento. Also why do you think the Sorento is comparable to a Rogue? That's grossly incorrect. The interior dimensions of the Sorento are virtually identical to the Santa Fe except for the trunk space which is 11 cuft vs 13 cuft. Also Sorento comes with more luxury features than the Santa Fe. I like Santa Fe for the value but the interior looks too dated and utilitarian.
This much hatred from Japanese cars I would take all the Japanese cars from the US market to let them suffer from high buying and maintenance cost of European cars and questionable consistency in Quality of Korean cars with huge value loss at second hand on both. Only then the car reviewers will be relieved.
It's rubbish car with poor Ac cooling and many problem in steering and cracking sound coming from dashboard and there sound like grrrrrrrr when you drive at low speed and wind noise coming from panoramic sunroof unacceptable and there is clonck noise at 30 km. Stay away from Hyundai Santa fe. I own one
These videos aren’t just good for new car buyers! I’m looking at a used Santa Fe now and I’m referencing this video for advice! Great work sir!
Me too, in 2024! This is some of the best content on the internet.
thank you! im shopping for one of these and this video was very helpful. also the video is well done. top notch production here.
I'm from another continent but I watch all your reviews because of your skills and honesty. Never change
Alex is the GOAT
I know what it means but if the other people doesn't know it they should comment thanks for saving my time

Your videos are so good that I watch all of them regardless of relativity to me.
Thanks
It's amazing that this SUV earned IIHS' Top Safety Plus award given that the panorama sunroof is enormous.
Your reviews are very good, the best in my opinion. They have also gotten even better since I have watched them. I find them very informative and accurate.I purchased a Santa Fe Sport comparing the competition in Alex style. I've learned a lot about cars in general thanks to Alex. great Job!
This is the best full review i have seen for this car!
I'd like to add like to see visibility receive a grade for some of these cars. Seems like so many vehicles are moving towards less and less window space and you can't see out. The big moon roofs are nice though.
best best best reviews of cars without bs!

Alex, can you please review Hyundai Elantra GT sport whenever it becomes available. Thanks.
Thanks Alex for the amazing review and comparison to other vehicles in this range. I ended up buying the Santa Fe and I love it! :)
Nice review. Looking forward to see your reviews and comparison on all new CX-5 and CR-V.

nik321123 I have the same color
thank you for the awesome car reviews!
So theoretically I could use that lock button at the lights for better launches?
intro reminds me of school, when you had a substitute and they just played some old historical lesson video, the intro to those videos.
I love this car my mum gonna buy it
thank you alex for this review , my question is - why hyundai car not equipped with front parking sensors while all kia car equip it .

Toyota Highlander & Honda Pilot: eight passengers;
in the U.S. fertility rate is 1.89: how often do Americans use those 8 seats at once?
7:36 this sunroof tends to exploide on hot weather... damn...
comparison to 2016 sorento would be lovely
Thanks Alex...you're the best
When will the 2018 Santa Fe review be out?
Great review... Many thanks!
I really wish the red one came with a black or grey interior. it's too bad it only comes with beige interior.

The upcoming Subaru Ascent might be worth waiting for.
Alex, when will you do a review on the 2017 Dodge Journey GT or Crossroad?
Dodge Journey? They don't last long enough to complete Alex's week-long review.
very imformative video thank you
Can you review a Toyota 4Runner

Does the Sport model come with captain seats?
No
civiliansheepdog3842 thanks

2017 Hyundai Santa good job I like it 🚐
5:00 you have to copyright "Mother-in-law third row" :)
Fantastic
hey alex nice video but i got a question for you i saw the turbo vs super charger video so what if i put 8 supercharger on my car i am planing to make my own car so can i put 8 supercharger? advantage or disadvantage? waiting for replu
I wish they put an hybrid engine in this suv.
saxywale2 the only hybrid 3 row SUVs are the MDX, Highlander and , XC90
Isn't Hyundai changing the name of the Santa Fe for the next version?
Sport model is changing.
The center stack button layout looks very chaotic. It's like they threw the buttons at the stack on a design board and ran with the design regardless of where the buttons landed. It looks like a complete mess.
Ford Explorer?

Got cut off please compare to 2017 Honda CR-V with 1.5
Turbo CVT
Why does Hyundai and Kia vehicles mostly have worst fuel economy while having Ioniq and Niro as class leading vehicle for fuel economy??
In a nutshell it's mainly because fuel economy had not been a major focus for them. They were more interested in styling and reliability development but now they are re-focusing on fuel economy.
Its not true. They are conservative in their advertised numbers due to the mpg scandal. I get 2-3 mpg more in my Sorento. 26-28 hwy and 21-23 mixed
akshayd82 Oh that's actually good. I have Kia Sedona SXL and I was worrying about the fuel economy. 17- 21 mpg.
I am surprised that you haven't directly compared to the Sorento. Also why do you think the Sorento is comparable to a Rogue? That's grossly incorrect. rx-350 is a luxury ca Hyundai santafe sport is normal car they're not at the same segment
Expedition XL, please

Thanks an old man.

It's rubbish car with poor Ac cooling and many problem in steering and cracking sound coming from dashboard and there sound like grrrrrrrr when you drive at low speed and wind noise coming from panoramic sunroof unacceptable and there is clonck noise at 30 km.
