- When all the air on the planet dies at a stroke, this is how two unlikely heroes struggle to survive.
My first short film, shot in March 2010 and finished in April 2011, and the steepest learning curve I'll ever have. Made for around £700, shot on a Sony EX3 with Letus Lens Adapter. Major thanks to everyone involved. Кино
This is one of those films that makes you hold your breath while watching it. Well done!
Congrats on the award, well deserved.
That was a great short. The last musical arrangement really set the tone for the end.
cheers! The composer, Edwin Sykes, is an utter legend, has done all my films.
GREAT! Ending kiss.... I cried.
Been five years since I watched this. Still think the clown using helium is unique.
Wow, brilliant !
Awesome! Brilliant short film. Congrats on the awards.
This short is incredible. I didn't expect to be blown away like this, but the ending… oh my heart. Well done.
I'm going to pretend there's a happy ending and that by the time they drew that last breath that the air was at least less poisonous...
la la la la pretending it's not beautifully sad xD
Great job. Really enjoyed it.
this short deserved the awards
Fantastic. More please.
Nice film. Makes you appreciate every last breath. I love the story.
Great work! Congrats on your awards for this film!
I would just like to point out that after they take a breath they would start spazzing on the ground.
Don’t ya just love happy endings
Breath taking
well done!! So many lousy shorts out there, it's nice to find a diamond in the rough.
Very well done! I really enjoyed this one!!!
What y'all guys did with the clown was pretty neat
I really liked that
were you allowed to show your video on RUclips before it showed on any of the film festivals?
I enjoyed that 😊👍
..Actually very scary & tragic story.., Well made, & verry well acted..!!
excellent loved it!!!
Well done. Reminds me of The Happening.
well done mate.
Great film
it's a remarkable short film :)
Nicely done :)
Outstanding
Hate to be a killjoy, but the two-engine jet transport flying at them suddenly has four engines. Continuity error.
Dang. Good flicker mate!
Well done
outstanding
good short.
Looking forward to "Grace" @ Tribeca, Keir.
Needs more views:)
are you my mumy?
9.5/10 !!!!
how about car tires full of.... air?
Couldent he just put the filter cartride back into the mask?
yup. filmmaking fail on my behalf. the plan had been to actually tear the mask in two, but we ended up not filming that scene last, so needed the mask whole... so yeah. Bugs the crap outta me.
wait a min... y is there wind?
why wouldn't there be? the air is poisonous is all
Keir Burrows Ah really? When I originally watched this I thought what happened is that all the oxygen left the earth somehow thus nobody could breath, and at the end it comes back (that's what the final breath before credits is) Was pretty unsettling thinking about what would happen if we lost oxygen for 10 minutes.
2018 and the dude has a rotary phone?
Maybe the film is set in the 70's....not so hard to think of.
Notice there were no cell phones?
Now this is what we call "breath taking"! We just featured this on S.M.O.(Scariest Movies Online)
Could one really survive on helium though?? unless It contained some degree of oxygen it wouldn't support respiration
Usually those balloons contain pure helium... which evidently wouldn't be very helpful in this situation. I still really love the idea! Just imagine the balloons contained a helium-oxygen mix.
3027085 my argument (to myself) was that whatever chemical element was poisoning the atmosphere, the helium reacted with it, nullifying it...
The problem is that helium is a n oble gas and doesn't react with anything. regular air has 21% oxygen, so if the balloons contained 80% Helium and 20% oxygen, you probably would still have the voice changing effects of the Helium while being able to breathe normally. Not sure why you'd fill a balloon with that kind of a mixture though...
@@3027085 Those ballons aren't 100% helium, and humans can survive at levels as low as 6% oxygen (the atmosphere has rougly 20-21%
Why not refit the filter to the mask?..plus lots of air in car tyres
I want to point out that the WHOLE time she has her air mask on its literally hanging off her nose 2 - 3 inches.. I mean seriously if your gonna make a film pay attention to the details. Thats a huge mess up. I figure the actress couldnt REALLY breath wearing it tight fitting but still figure something out
Ignore that.
@@somedatussr4323 I tried but the more I ignored it the more it came violently bursting to the surface with the question why why why? I started to wake up screaming it in the middle of the night so I had to tell someone anyone and so I did and since then I'd forgotten about it until now when seeing your comment has reminded me..
@@leomcg8826 I have most heartfelt apologies.
@@somedatussr4323 Well now @Lamda I appreciate the sentiment. As we all know now given the very real worldwide pandemic proper mask placement and use our vital to ones survival. This video promotes dangerous and deadly mask techniques
Wait a minute you can talk without the air effecting you right away.? I don’t buy it.
Pretty well made, not scary at all though.
It was great, but did the girl really have to be so stupid? It was obvious the guy was wearing a gas mask, just like her. Come on!
Way too much talking.
