I understand the neutrals approach Lynne but you have great style and the top you are wearing in this video suits your colouring so well and is vibrant without going over the top. Please don’t give up your lovely individuality to a completely neutral wardrobe 🤗😊
I get what you mean June, and I will keep colour and pattern, just not as many, and I’ll be more selective, for me the neutrals will be a good base to start from, but in summer woo woo, I’ll be on the colour like no tomorrow lol, much love ❤️
Hi Lynn. You’re looking lovely and you look so much better now I hope you’re finally on the mend? Loved this video. I’m needing a wardrobe declutter and you’ve given me the inspiration to do it. I’ve got so many clothes I don’t wear and really needing a capsule wardrobe my problem is I love colours but I definitely need more neutrals. My downfall is blouses and tops I just love them and can’t resist buying a new blouse or too but I need to stop and think before I buy. My friend told me I should only buy something that I love and when I wear it I should feel great in it and I think that’s good advice as I’ve bought so many things I like but then I put them on and don’t feel good so they get put in the wardrobe never to be seen again 😂😂. Hi Sandra, I’m so much better than I was thank you 🙏🏻 oh I’m so glad I inspired you, we all need it sometimes. I think sorting my wardrobe will give me a bit more clarity about what I may need or not as the case may be. I’m doing my best to get in that zone, see what I may need, then just look for that, and try not to come back with anything else. You’re friend gives good advice I think, it’s just a case of changing our behaviour isn’t it, we can do it Sandra hahaha 🤣 it might take a few tries though lol ❤️❤️❤️ thank youuuu ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you Jax, I do like a pop of colour myself, and I’ll still have some, I’m just trying to be less random lol. Comfy is the way forward at home, I’m the same with lounge wear. No they are still around, sticking like a leach, but I’m definitely sooooo much better thank you ❤️❤️❤️

I think it can look very smart depending on how you style it, and the accessories matter don’t they. You’re ahead of us all with the sorting out, well done you, I put it off because I don’t really like to get rid of any, but I will do as you say, brutal is the way forward lol ❤️❤️❤️
Hi my beautiful Lynn, you are such an animal (print) 🤣 You really do have such a good fashion sense. I love to watch you accessorize your outfits. You do a great job at that. Yeah, neutral for winter is great, but summer you have to wear lots of color and be bright and vibrant for sure. I have very little winter wear as where I live, the weather is not very cold that often. We have little space heaters here and that's plenty for the cold nights we have. Barely a spring or fall. The only coat I own is a puffy vest. Just bought a long cardigan from Temu and that's about it. I admire how you were able to go through that so quickly, though. I would be hemming and hawing for the longest over every piece. I can't make snap decisions like that. That's what's taking me so long to organize my craft room. I'm constantly saying, should I, shouldn't I, about a million times. I hate being like that. But it's coming along slowly but surely. I'm thinking another week and should be done. Then it's off to the charity shops for all the donations and, what's not worth donating, in the trash. I'm going to order some organization bins off of Temu to better organize the smaller bits I have. Good to see you getting back to your old self. Hope the rash is still clearing up and not bothering you as much anymore. So happy to see you collaborated with the transatlantic housewives. Yoohooo ballerina….arent i just, I didn’t realise how much I had lol, hence the need to do this wardrobe sorting out thing lol 😂 aw thank you, I’ll have fun putting some outfits together and styling them up. It’s very cold here in the UK at the moment, wet and windy today, we have a storm. I’m not a big fan of winter cold days and nights, but they come every year so we have to have the appropriate clothes unfortunately, I might come live near you hahahaha ❤️ well that’s the beauty of filming, makes me choose quickly, otherwise peeps would get bored 🥱 if I ummed and ahhhhhed I would never take anything out. Brutal is the only way I can do it. Oh my word, if I had a craft room I would never throw anything away 100 %, I’d be like “ that may come in for something “ and I’d save it all 🤭 sounds to me like you have it under control, and how amazing will it be when it’s finished. Temu have some really nice storage, I’ve seen some other RUclipsrs show some Bobby dazzlers for sure. Ah thank you, I’m definitely much better, but the rash is still around, and still bothers me, but nowhere near what is was. It was a one off, but you never know they might invite me again sometime, I enjoyed it and they are all really nice girls. Same to you my beautiful ballerina 🩰 much love always ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Lynn, you are looking fabulous and I hope you are feeling much much better. I love the idea of a capsule wardrobe but it’s not for me , it drains me apparently according to my husband 😂. That must mean I have the go ahead for a new wardrobe as all I ever wear is black, browns, beige etc 😂, Can’t wait for my next DWP to be paid in my account 😂. Lynn, I never find any bargains in the supermarkets, I am a big girl, well not in height (5ft 2ins, 5ft 2 and a wee bit if my feet are swollen 😊) a size 24 ( was a 22 before Christmas 😂) I will get back on track for my knee/knees replacement but I have had a much needed fabulous Christmas/new year. I already watch a couple of the ladies you mentioned but I will look at the others you mentioned, I started watching Maxine after your recommendation, she is fab. Oh Lynn, what a task you have taken on!! I would not know where to start, all your clothes are just you. Love all of the colours especially what you are wearing today, and that would go with your brown leather pants. I am more a 'safe' colour girl and stick to a fairly basic wardrobe, but unlike you I put things in the wardrobe hoping I will fit into them one day or I don't feel they are right for the occasion. I am mostly a trouser wearer and only have a few dresses. I like older clothes to wear in the garden so it doesn't matter if they get mucky or market they I have to change if I want to go somewhere !! Will look at some of the other channels and look forward to seeing how you get on with sorting your wardrobe. You are looking much better now, well done. Take care x
I certainly have Milly, one rail at a time is the only way to go lol 😂 I’m really into beige/camel/cream/and autumn colours at the moment. Well I would probably change the word basic for capsule, and we all keep things that we hope will fit, fact x I mostly wear dresses in spring/summer, so that’s one thing I want to change. You only need old comfy ones for gardening, pointless ruining good clothes. I’m feeling much better Hank you, and I’m sure you’ll like the other girls ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Lynn, youre as bad as me far too many clothes, like you i cant go to the shops without buying something. I cant resist animal print but i get the black and white or the snakeskin grey and black. ( love it). I used to like autumn colours but about 20 years ago i booked to have my colour chart done and what colours suit me. I was told i was a winter shade, so all my autumn shades had to go, so i now more or less know what shades im looking for and now everything in my wardrobes go with each other, give or take a couple of things xx❤️❤️❤️

Sounds like we’re very similar Patricia, I only wear midi/maxi skirts, and mainly on holidays, love them for when I’m abroad. I didn’t realise I had so much of the animal print till I started this video ❤️❤️❤️

Great idea !! I am sure most ladies are guilty of the same thing, buying odd items then getting home and have nothing to go with it!! So we have full wardrobes but nothing to wear !
So that's my goal too ...starting from Spring when I change over my wardrobe.
I do a capsule wardrobe when I go on holiday making sure everything goes with each other as we do hand luggage only !! I quite enjoy the challenge 😊

Love your "doubling up" hanger hooks. I have a different set but they are not so easy to use.
Where did you get them from please.? And how do you fold your dresses ontk 2 hangers?
Hi Linda, do you mean the little white hooks, I got mine from Temu, but they sell them on Amazon and eBay too. I hang the dresses as normal, put the little hook over the coat hanger, then put the bottom of the dress through the 2nd coat hanger, then hang that on the hook. Have I explained ok 👌❤️

Lynn I need to come shopping with you. I have cocktail dresses for our cruises coming out of my ears, but very little everyday wear!! I live in jeans and jumpers, not very inspiring or elegant for a 64 year old!!! xx

Our wardrobe is so different mine is 10 % print 90 % plain colours the odd dress one skirt then it’s jumpers t shirts jeans joggers and hoodies.
I can’t get rid of my band ts.
My addiction is sportswear I could open my own shop.
I wear my wardrobe all year round but I do need to sort it to make life easier.
As I’ve come down in size I’ve introduced more colour and print but I always do one half plain one half pattern unless a dress and it’s all one pattern.
As we speak I’m in Rupert bear fleece pants t and zip hoodie.
I’m gutted I shrunk my expensive Celtic and co merino wool jumpers now blinking key ring size. So I’ve replaced one and looking for some others matalan has a great sale on.

It wouldn’t do for us all to be the same would it, too boring. I hardly have any sports wear at all, just a few bottoms. Just an idea Lynne.... bartering local sites are a brilliant for recycling pre loved clothes etc. I recently found a beautiful green velvet Monsoon coat/jacket in my local Oxfam shop (convinced it would fit me)...when it didn't, I decided to barter it for a ceramic planter... which I needed. It's really hard to let clothes you love go, after all, clothes are part of our personality etc, but after longingly looking at things in my wardrobe I knew I'd never wear again...I took the plunge and let them go 😕❤️
Oooo Angela, I’ve never heard of that, I might look into it, see if we have a local one. If I didn’t keep myself in check, I reckon I would be a very happy hoarder, hate waste, and hate throwing things away, I always convince myself that it’ll come in handy for something, and to be honest usually does lol. But I’m trying my hardest not to keep things I don’t need, don’t fit, don’t wear, etc etc. pray for me lol 🙏🏻 ❤️❤️❤️

Wow Maria, you can do it, if I can, you can. I don’t use vinted or eBay, but I do feel good taking things to charity shops, some people can’t afford new, and it’s nice to think I’ve helped a bit. Be ruthless lovely lol ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lynn I think since supermarkets started selling clothes it’s made it too easy to buy things (that you don’t need) while doing the weekly food shop. That’s why you end up with lots of clothes that don’t co-ordinate with anything.
I think you’ll enjoy shopping for clothes a lot more once you know what you need to buy rather than being tempted by something you don’t need.

Hi Lynn, I decided in December that I was not going to be buying more clothes as I have far too many. Quite a few still with labels attached. I didn't have a lot of clothes when I was young and I think we didn't have the same choice then either and this is why we've gone mad in our later years. In October I got rid of about a dozen pair of shoes I'd never worn and in December got rid of handbags not going to use. All never used. I thought they would make good Christmas presents. I've just kept 4 shoulder bags, black, tan, navy and cream/beige. The lady in America looked like she's got absolutely loads of bags and shoes. My goodness. Loved your video today, and you did really well with your choices. You can still have some nice coloured tops like the one you wore today to go with your capsule trousers/skirts, and they go with our grey hair. I did post about 8.10 this morning, but it disappeared😂 take care, love Jean xx❤❤

You have a lot of clothes Lynn. The clothes on your sorted rail about equals my entire wardrobe. Plus jeans jackets and coats. My car had to have work done plus dental implant has taken all my money right now. Decided I’m not buying any clothes till the summer. Also don’t have the storage space. I’m off to see the rest of the other ladies. X❤
I know I do, too many really, but I’m trying to cut down on buying new ones. I’ve had implants, it cleaned me out, had to start saving again, they are so expensive. Enjoy the other lovely ladies ❤️❤️❤️

I know Olive, I did, but I haven’t finished yet, I just made a start. In a capsule wardrobe I can keep patterned pieces, as long as they will mix and match the neutrals, so just for now I’ve put them on the rail, and now I’ll go through them again. I’ll be videoing it so it may become clearer. It is a bit confusing I know. I’m new to this capsule wardrobe idea so I may make a few mistakes along the way ❤️❤️❤️

Love your videos but think you are missing the point of a capsule wardrobe I don’t interpret as limiting your colours but a selection of pieces that work together ie trousers tops jumpers etc.
